Abstract

Hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan beberapa siswa yang dilakukan di MTs Negeri 1 Aceh Tamiang ditemukan bahwa siswa sulit mempelajari matematika dikarenakan hanya berpaduan pada buku cetak yang dibagikan di sekolah. Salah satu bahan ajar yang dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi siswa adalah dengan menggunakan Hypothetical Mathematical Learning Trajectory. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kriteria kevalidan dari desain Hypothetical Mathematical Learning Trajectory pada dimensi tiga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan metode penelitian kombinasi model sequential exploratory dengan design research yang meliputi Preparing for the experiment, Experiment in the classroom., dan Restrospective analysis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa desain Hypothetical Mathematical Learning Trajectory pada dimensi tiga memiliki kriteria valid. Abstract

The results of observations on April 15, 2019, at SMP Negeri 1 Peureulak, East Aceh District, and the 2017/2018 National Examinations showed that students experienced difficulties in geometry, so there was a need for teaching materials in the form of LAS (Student Activity Sheets). This development aims to determine that teaching materials in the form of LAS based on Acehnese local wisdom are valid, practical, and effective, and also determine student learning outcomes. This research is a development research using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subject of the trial in this study was grade VII-1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Peureulak, East Aceh District. Questionnaires, observations, interviews, and tests are used as data collection techniques and instruments in this research. The data analysis in this study is descriptive analysis using the preparation/development of the LAS product variable and the resulting LAS quality variable. As for student learning outcomes in using LAS can be seen from the results of the LAS analysis, which includes student learning outcomes as one of the effectiveness aspect of LAS and test data on learning outcomes. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the teaching materials in the form of LAS based on Acehnese local wisdom in mathematics learning especially geometry material in Junior High Schools are categorized as valid, practical, and effective. Student learning outcomes using the LAS have a mastery score with a score of 86.43.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja guru tahfidz dan pelaksanaan program tahfidz Qur’an di SMP Muhammadiah Langsa Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: kinerja guru tahfidz dalam program tahfidz Quran sudah dalam kategori baik, ini dilihat dari pembinaan guru tahfidz dalam membina siswa menghafal al-quran dengan menggunakan media rekaman imam-imam terkenal dan variasi metode pengajaran/pembinaan yang digunakan serta didukung dengan motivasi-motivasi yang diberikan kepada siswa agar terus meningkatkan hafalannya dengan sebaik mungkin.Pelaksanaan program tahfidz Quran yang telah dijalankan selama kurang lebih 1 tahun belakangan ini juga dalam kategori berjalan efektif, walaupun disamping itu terdapat berbagai macam kendala yang dihadapi, namun program tahfidz quran yang berlangsung sudah cukup baik. Hal ini ditandai dengan perincian yang peneliti temukan di lapangan bahwa Dari 18 siswa, 6 orang sudah menghafal 3 juz, 2 orang masih menghafal 1 juz dan 10 orang sudah menghafal 2 juz yang telah dicapai dalam 1 tahun belakangan ini. Bahkan dalam bulan Ramadhan yang lalu mereka dibimbing untuk menambah hafalannya 1 juz. Guru tahfidz telah melaksanakan upaya-upaya yang sangat baik bagi kemajuan siswa dalam menghafal Al-Quran dan hal ini sangat sesuai dengan tujuan program tahfidz quran yaitu mencetak hafidz/hafidzah yang berkualitas.

Abstract

Educational Statistics is considered as one of the most difficult subjects, where most of students try to avoid or postpone to take it. This condition has increased the anxiety among non – mathematics’ students. SPSS is one of statistics software that assists students in analyzing data. This paper examined the non mathematics students’ anxiety after using SPSS and the SPSS’s contribution in reducing non mathematics students’ anxiety in studying statistics. The questioner and test are given to 25 non mathematics students, who are selected randomly from teacher training faculty. The finding revealed that SPSS is effective enough to help reducing the non mathematics students’ anxiety. The positive contribution of SPPS was showed on finding result, which are 23% for lower level of anxiety, 60% for the middle level of anxiety and 79% for panic level.

Abstract

The gap between the concept image and the concept definition will greatly affect a person’s understanding of the concept. This study aims to reveal the gap between the concept image and the concept definition, and the causes of the emergence of the gap. The research subjects were 16 first-year mathematics students at one of the universities in Aceh, Indonesia. Data were obtained from the results of written tests and in-depth interviews. This qualitative research with a phenomenological study approach was analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the gap that occurs in the concept includes: the division of a non-zero number by zero yields infinity, the concept of dividing zero by zero is zero, the concept of dividing a number by zero is the same as the concept of the limit, e.g., , and the concept of the left-hand limit as  means that the satisfied value of x is all negative numbers such that . The emergence of these concept images results from the subject's learning experience at school and a calculus course. This finding provides insights and considerations for educators to comprehensively introduce students to the concept of infinity to avoid misunderstandings in limit and next materials.
