Abstract

This research aims to describe the meaning of online learning implementation during the Covid-19 pandemic at Degan State Elementary School, Pati regency. This research is a qualitative study using a phenomenological research design. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling technique. The technique of collecting data used interview, observation, and documentation. The data validity test used technical triangulation. Data analysis is obtained from results of data collection using interactive analysis which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that implementation of online learning in Degan State Elementary School started with teacher preparation including making a porta, promissory note, syllabus, and lesson plan. The learning process was done through the WhatsApp group. The learning process started with greetings, motivation, perception, presenting material through learning videos, messages or voice messages, questions and answers, and submitting assignments. The assessment process is carried out using two methods, the first method is students sending their assignments by WhatsApp and the other method is students coming to school to directly collect assignments once a week. Obstacles in the implementation of online learning are network, internet quota, cellphone, and discipline.

Abstract

This study was conducted to reveal and describe the meaning of the effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 outbreak in fifth grade students of SD Negeri Wirotaman. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research was conducted using data collection techniques in the form of interview techniques, observation techniques, and documentation techniques. Sources of data in this study were students in grade V, teachers, and parents of students. The data in this study were processed using inductive data processing techniques according to Miles and Huberman. Based on the research results, the researcher found six variables that emerged, namely the online learning process, learning facilities, tutoring, students' understanding of the material, online learning constraints, and learning outcomes. Of the six variables found, the researcher has a relationship between one variable and another. Judging from the results of the study, the implementation of online learning for grade V SD Negeri Wirotaman was less effective. Online learning activities as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak caused obstacles that were felt by students. Students find it difficult to understand the subject matter, lack of concentration, are bored, and an unstable internet network.

Abstract

The research purpose to analyze the effectiveness of learning mathematics using whatsapp group in class V SDN 1 Brujul. The research was conducted using qualitative techqniques with a phenomenological approach. This  research data collection using observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data used was triangulation source and triangulation technique. The data in this study were processed using inductive data processing techniques according to Miles and Huberman. The result of this study resulted in six focus meanings wherw there were implementation of learning, learning facilities, presentation of material, understanding of the material and learning outcomes. The six meanings  related to each other, which can be conclude that learning mathematics using whatsapp group in class V SDN 1 Brujul is not effective. This ineffectiveness is due to the ineffective facilities, the lack of material presentation, the lack of guidance from the teacher and the obstacles that arise during the learning process.

Abstract

Learning during a pandemic requires innovation so that learning runs well and can develop students' critical thinking skills. One of the learning innovations is applying a blended learning system in thematic learning. This study aimed to analyze the planning, implementation, and thematic learning outcomes based on critical thinking skills using a blended learning system for fifth-grade students in elementary schools. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using a case study approach with a subject of 37 fifth grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques in this study through direct observation, interviews, and documentation in the form of data related to research to strengthen the information. The data that has been collected is then grouped and validated by source triangulation and triangulation techniques. The data is analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are 1) Planning of thematic learning based on critical thinking skills with a BLS begins with the preparation of curriculum documentation, socialization, then IHT (In House Training) activities, and the preparation of syllabus and Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) thematic based on critical thinking skills. 2) Implementation of thematic learning based on critical thinking skills with a blended learning system combining face-to-face learning and online learning that can accommodate students' critical thinking skills through a series of applied learning activities. 3) The results of thematic learning based on critical thinking skills obtained a good category which includes an assessment of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

Pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah pendekatan realistik, karena memiliki kelebihan yaitu lebih memberikan pengertian yang jelas kepada siswa tentang keterkaitan matematika dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dan dalam bimbingan guru siswa dapat menyelesaikan masalah matematikanya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan bernalar siswa melalui pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik tes dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini populasinya adalah siswa semester II kelas IV SD Negeri Kecamatan Pacitan. Dalam penelitian ini sebagai sampelnya adalah sebagian dari populasi yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Stratified Cluster Random Sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menujukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode RME (Realistic Mathematic Education). Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji t (paired sample t-test), maka dapat diperoleh hasil bahwa t-hitung lebih besar dari t tabel yaitu 12.078 > 1.68595 dan Sig. (2 tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05 ,maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh metode RME terhadap pengembangkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SD se-kecamatan Pacitan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of providing learning motivation through the national song during a limited face-to-face learning period on the attitude of nationalism of students. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were class III teachers and 31 students in class III. The techniques for collecting data used are interviews, observations, and documentation studies. In testing the validity of the data, the use of technique triangulation and source triangulation. This study used Miles and Huberman's model in the process of data analysis techniques. Based on the results of research, providing motivation through the national songs that are carried out continuously has an impact on the attitude of nationalism of students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the skills of teachers, find out the obstacles faced, and how to overcome the obstacles faced by teachers at elementary school conducting variations on thematic learning. The research subjects were teachers from grades I to VI. This research is descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. The research subjects were teachers and students. Data collection techniques used consisted of observation, interviews, and documentation. Validity of the data was used using triangulation techniques. The data analysis technique used is the interactive data analysis model by Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicate that the teacher has carried out the activities of conducting variations although there are still obstacles. Each teacher has implemented the use of a clear and fluent voice, made eye contact with students, used media and student involvement in its use, as well as patterns of interaction between teachers and students. The obstacle experienced is that they have not been able to use varied media such as concrete media. Teachers use LCD more often because of limited time for learning. So it shows that in the use of media and teaching tools, teachers at SD Negeri Setono are still relatively low.

Abstract

The results of this study indicate that during the pandemic students' learning motivation decreases. If this is allowed to continue, it will have a negative impact on the future of Indonesian education. So it takes the role of the educator as a teacher and as a motivator in various ways so that it is expected to be able to increase student learning motivation. Based on the research that has been done and the explanations presented, it can be concluded that there are several roles played by the teacher in increasing the learning motivation of the students of SD Negeri Setono during the covid-19 pandemic, including 1) the teacher as a demonstrator, the teacher always studies and prepares material. 2) The educator as a class manager, the teacher creates a comfortable atmosphere and conducts active learning. 3) The teacher, as a mediator, the teacher chooses the learning media according to the student's learning needs. 4) teachers as facilitators, teachers understand and provide facilities to students. 5) the teacher as an evaluator, the educator evaluates by giving assignments, holding tests, and giving homework. 6) the teacher as a motivator, instils a sense of enthusiasm and also provides motivation in various ways .

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the understanding of elementary school teachers in developing differentiated learning through training and mentoring methods. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The sample in this study were teachers in Kendal District, Ngawi Regency, East Java Province. The data collection technique used is a test. Data were analyzed using N-Gain. The results showed an increase in teacher understanding in developing differentiation learning. The pre-test showed an average score of 62.07 while the post-test increased with an average score of 85. Thus, teachers can improve their pedagogical skills in developing differentiated learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the teacher's role in learning to write Javanese script at Elementary School. This is qualitative descriptive research using a case study approach. The results of this study show several roles have been carried out by the teacher, even though her roles as organizer and mediator/facilitator still do not fulfill each indicator, but the teacher's role as a demonstrator and evaluator in this study seems to be the most appropriate among the other teacher roles when viewed from the respective indicators for each role. As a demonstrator, the teacher has given examples of writing Javanese script on the whiteboard, both in terms of the shape and position/location of each letter and how to write it. Even though the teacher still doesn't master Javanese script material, the method used is in the form of lectures, and the teacher doesn't know the principles of learning the Javanese script. From the 3 indicators, the teacher fulfills 1 by being used as a demonstrator. As an organizer, all indicators have not been fulfilled by the teacher. The classroom atmosphere for learning is not conducive, the teacher cannot focus the attention of students; the teacher sometimes leaves the class due to various other activities so that students have the opportunity to be noisy and play in class when learning activities are still ongoing; and learning is still centered on the teacher. As a mediator and facilitator, the four indicators have not been fulfilled. Teachers have not created interactive learning and don’t facilitate students' learning through both learning resources and learning media. Then, as an evaluator, the teacher has provided an assessment after the learning activities are over through the students' cognitive learning outcomes. Even though the assessment process during the learning activities has not been carried out, one indicator has been fulfilled.
