Abstract

The problem of this research is what are Ridwan Remin's speech acts in the June 2017 edition of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia, Kompas TV. The purpose of this study is to find out and describe Ridwan Remin's speech acts in his appearance in Stand Up Comedy which specializes in locus speech acts, illocution and perlocution. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data source and the object of the research were the videos of Ridwan Remin's Stand Up Comedy performance at the Stand Up Comedy Indonesia season 7, Kompas TV June 2017 edition, consisting of 5 videos. Data analysis techniques are using documentation techniques. The analysis results obtained are in the form of 20 sentences of speech action locus, 10 sentences of speech acts of illocution, and 3 sentences of speech acts of perlocution. In speech, of course, speech acts are needed so that the meaning in the speech can be conveyed to the speech partner so that it can cause a reaction or reciprocal relationship for the speaker.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the ability to write descriptive text in students by using the Show Not Tell technique through caricature media. To achieve these objectives used descriptive quantitative research methods with experimental techniques as a form of processing and data collection. The results obtained after being carried out at the final test stage there are benefits obtained after using the Show Not Tell technique with caricature media in the ability to write descriptive text, namely there is a difference of 27.17. Researchers provide suggestions for teachers who teach Indonesian subjects in order to use the Show Not Tell technique as an alternative in learning to write descriptive text essays at school because it is proven to have benefits in the learning process.Keywords: Description Text, Caricature, Show Not Tell.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi pada siswa dengan menggunakan tekhnik Show Not Tell melalui media karikatur. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan tekhnik eksperimen sebagi bentuk pengolahan dan pengumpulan data. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah dilakukan pada tahap test akhir terdapat manfaat yang diperoleh setelah pemanfaat tekhnik Show Not Tell dengan media karikatur dalam kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi yaitu terdapat selisih perbedaan sebesar 27,17. Peneliti memberikan Saran untuk guru yang mengajar mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia agar dapat menjadikan teknik Show Not Tell ini sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran menulis karangan teks deskripsi disekolah karena hal itu terbukti memiliki manfaat dalam proses pembelajaran.Kata Kunci : Teks Deskripsi, Karikatur, Show Not Tell.

Abstract

The problem of this research is how is the study of eco-criticism in the novel Because of Your Grace that I Miss by Emy Agustini Sulaiman. The purpose of this study is to describe eco-critical studies in the novel Due to Your Grace that Kurindu by Emy Agustini Sulaiman which focuses on the study of respect for nature, the study of attitudes of moral responsibility towards nature, the study of solidarity with nature, the study of compassion and care for nature and study the attitude of not disturbing natural life. The research method used in this method is descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data and the object of this research is the novel Due to Your Grace that I Miss by Emy Agustini Sulaiman. The data collection technique in this research is the documentation technique. Researchers use triangulation techniques in the process of validating data in research. The data analysis technique used in this study is content analysis. The results of the analysis obtained are in the form of first there are as many as 10 citations which contain a study of respect for nature, secondly there are 9 citations which contain a study of the attitude of moral responsibility towards nature, thirdly there are 6 citations analyzing the attitude of solidarity towards nature, fourth there are 7 citations which contains a study of attitudes of compassion and concern for nature, the fifth as many as 10 citations which contain a study of attitudes not to disturb natural life. It is hoped that the results of this research can later be used as a means to develop the ability to respect nature and examine the meaning of every existence of natural life. It is hoped that the results of this research can later be used as a means to develop the ability to respect nature and examine the meaning of every existence of natural life. The results of this research should be used by students as a source of knowledge to increase understanding of the environment and eco-critical studies.
