Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between the ability to think logically with basic chemistry student ability. The research sample as many as 33 students majoring in science education, University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Sampling using purposive sampling method. The design study is correlational research design with survey as a research method. The instrument used in this study is the Test of Logical Thinking (TOLT). The results showed a correlation between the score TOLT with a score of Basic Chemistry 1 at 0.359. Then, the correlation between TOLT score with Basic Chemistry 2 at 0.415.  Keywords: Logical Thinking, TOLT, Basic Chemistry, Correlation Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan antara kemampuan berpikir logis dengan kemampuan kimia dasar mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 33 orang mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan IPA, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Desain penelitian yang digunakan desain penelitian korelasional dengan metode survey. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa instrumen Test of Logical Thinking (TOLT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya korelasi antara skor TOLT dengan skor Kimia Dasar 1 sebesar 0,359. Kemudian, korelasi skor TOLT dengan skor Kimia Dasar 2 sebesar 0,415. Kata kunci: Kemampuan berpikir logis, TOLT, Kimia Dasar, Korelasi

Abstract

The aim of this study is examining the learning of Integrated Sciences through PCK based guided inquiry on prospective science teacher students. This research method was descriptive qualitative involving 33 science teacher students who taking Integrated Science 1 Subject in academic year 2016/2017. The research instrument used was the observation sheet to know the implementation PCK based guided inquiry. The results showed that the implementation of the activities of lecturer and science teacher students during the learning process using PCK based guided inquiry was very good conducted.
