Abstract

The aim of this research was describe Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Program for build responsible character of students in elementary school. The approach for this study was qualitative. The main method of this study was library research that supported with filed research. Library research that referred in this study was an activity to collected data, read, took notes, and processed the data that related with Social Emotional Program in Schools. It was obtained from books, journals, and articles. There are 5 main journals supported by 10 other. The researcher was collected the data from documents, research notes, and interviews. The interviewees are people who have direct contact with Social Emotional Program such as Head of Social Emotional Program Department, teachers, students and parents of Kharisma Bangsa Elementary School. This study used purposive sampling technique. The instruments of this research were document check list, notes, and interview guidelines. Data analysis was achieved through a content analysis technique. The result showed that Social Emotional Learning Program can build responsible character of students in elementary school. It can be obtained by growing social awareness, self-management, self-awareness, responsible decision making, and relationship skills after implementing Social Emotional Learning Program. The Social Emotional Learning Program was effective to build the responsibility by using some approaches there were Explicit SEL Instruction, Teacher Instructional, and Integrated with curriculum areas that supported by several strategies between PATH, RC, 4R’s, and RULER.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the quality of the implementation of free education at the level of free education in Jabodetabek. Subjects were implementing elements of the free education that teachers and principals in the area of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi. This research is non-experimental research because no manipulation of study variables. The type of research is a survey method. This research data collection techniques are questionnaires and observation techniques. Questionnaires and observation selected in this study, because of the variables to be measured is certain, that the quality of the implementation of free education at the primary level. This technique is also an effective technique for measuring the purpose of this study of the respondents are already established. The research result shows that the implementation of free education in Jabodetabek meet the quality standards of education good views of inputs, processes, outputs, and outcomes of education. Judging from the quality standard based education accreditation, quality free education in Jabodetabek meet the quality standards of education with the acquisition value of A. Model implementation of free education of the funding envisaged in three models of education, namely the liberation of all kinds of levies by schools to parents, Liberation operational cost of education to parents, except for expenses for personal needs such as school uniforms and operational financing of education imposed on BOS (School Operational Cost). Impact of free education based on the quality of the inputs, processes, outputs, and outcomes, as well as quality accreditation are also models of implementation of free education for the elderly, the implementation of free education in Jabodetabek with quality standards do not have the participation of parents is optimal, had the satisfaction of graduates, and assisted from the financing of education free of charge. For teachers based on the acquisition of data about the quality of free education, teachers meet standards with optimal learning process.

Abstract

The classroom teacher's professional duties are to educate, guide, teach, train, direct, judge and preserve. The problem is that many teachers are not professional in performing their duties has become a professional certificate, therefore the purpose of this study is the task of professional executive class teachers at the primary education education in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang dan Bekasi. The research method used is qualitative quantitative survey method because it is evaluative research. Data completion technique as evaluation research on professional task of classroom teacher at primary education in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang dan Bekasi is observation, interview, and document. The respondents of this research are classroom teachers at primary education in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang dan Bekasi. The benefits of this research are expected to provide theoretical and practical benefits to institutional governance on the development of teacher resources at the primary education level in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang dan Bekasi. The results showed that teachers in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang dan Bekasi perform their professional duties in designing a good learning plan with an average score of 72. Can perform professional duties at primary education level in aspects of learning activities very well with average score 87. And there is a difference in the implementation of professional tasks of certified class teachers with an average score of 73 scores, while unclassified grade teachers score an average of In the aspect of execution of professional duties in classroom teaching activities has not been certified has the advantage in performing professional tasks on aspects of learning activities at level primary education in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang dan Bekasi that is grade certified teacher average score 86,7, while class teacher have not certified result of score average 87,2.
