Abstract

Karbon aktif adalah senyawa karbon yang telah ditingkatkan daya adsorbsinyadengan melakukan proses karbonasi dan aktivasi. Proses ini bertujuan untuk menghilangkanhidrogen, air, dan gas-gas pada permukaan aktif dan mengakibatkan perubahan fisik. Karbonaktif dapat digunakan dalam proses penjernihan air, mengurangi intensitas warna air, menyeraploga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh suhu aktivasi pada karakteristik karbonaktif dari pelepah sawit untuk penjernih air. Pelepah sawit dikeringkan di dalam oven pada suhu105 oC selama 3 jam. Pengarangan (tahap karbonasi) pelepah sawit dengan oven pada suhu500 oC selama 1 jam. Selanjutnya dilakukan proses aktivasi dengan variasi suhu 300-700 oCdengan waktu penahanan 30 menit. Karbon aktif pelepah sawit dibersihkan dari abu dengandicuci menggunakan air aquadest dan dikeringkan. Air sumur galian lalu dicampur dengankarbon aktif pelepah sawit. Selanjutnya dilakukan pemeriksaan pH, suhu, warna TDS,kekeruhan, bau, logam Fe dan logam Al. Hasil penelitian mempunyai karakteristik sesuaidengan standar SNI No 06-3730-1995 adalah perlakuan dengan suhu aktivasi 500 oC.

Abstract

Based on the results of student learning X.4SMA Class N 1 Valley Crossing in the subjects of Sociology found that results for students in the subjects of Sociology is still very low. The average student learning outcomes are still under KKM. The purpose of this study is to describe and obtain information about the efforts to improve student learning outcomes in subjects Sociology sub Describing the occurrence of deviant behavior and anti-social attitudes through Learning Model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) in Class X.4 SMA N 1 Transverse Valley District Pasaman Barat.This research is a class act. The procedure in this research include planning, action, observation and reflection. The study consisted of two cycles of the four meetings. Subject of the study consisted of 42 students Grades X.4 SMA N 1 Valley Crossing. Data were collected by using observation sheet and daily tests. Data were analyzed using percentages.Based on the results of research and discussion that has been raised, it can be concluded that the Learning Model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) can improve student learning outcomes in subjects Sociology sub Describing the occurrence of deviant behavior and anti sosialdi SMA N 1 Valley Crossing. Learning outcomes of students from the first cycle to the second cycle. The results of students in the first cycle was 49.36 (Not Good) increased to 83.69 (Good) with an increase of 34.33%.

Abstract

The casting process and cooling rate determine the morphology of the authentic silicon particles produced in aluminum alloys. The slow cooling rate of aluminum alloy through the Lost Foam Casting (LFC) method a result of low mechanical properties. The purpose of this study was the effect of added Strontium (Sr) modifier to aluminum A356 on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the LFC method. The Aluminum A356 alloys are melted using a crucible and poured at a temperature of 730 oC on the surface of the polystyrene pattern which has been coated with refractory materials. The addition of the Strontium modifier was studied for its effect on changes in microstructure and mechanical properties (hardness, impact strength, and tensile strength). The results of this study indicate a change in the authentic silicon particles from an acicular to a filamentous form. The value of hardness, maximum tensile strength, and impact strength on the castings increased after the addition of Sr modifier to aluminum alloy A356.
