Abstract

Low-voltage distribution cable has important role in electric power distribution system. This study aimed to find out power distribution network, drop voltage, losses, and Rupiah loss on low-voltage distribution cable in Indonesia University of Education (UPI), Bandung. UPI has their own electrical substation, so low voltage electricity managed by themselves. This research is conducted because of researcher’s interest in analyzing reliability of power distribution in UPI. Data was derived from measurement and calculation of load current from every substation which flows to switchgear in every building. Based on the result, the calculation is continued to find out the magnitude of voltage drop, losses (watt), and Rupiah loss. The magnitude of drop voltage and power losses in UPI’s low voltage distribution cable network are very good based on the value which is lower than assigned minimun limit by PT. PLN; +5% and -10%. In Rupiah, UPI losses Rp.398.573,- in January 2014.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the educational process of household waste management training by applying appropriate technology as part of human resources development in processing household waste. The participation of housewives and non-governmental organizations in this activity is part of increasing sensitivity to the environment to overcome the problem of household waste. The application of appropriate technology in processing household waste is a major part of the PKM (Community Service) activities of the Assisted Village, the technology of organic and inorganic waste chopping machines is used to produce semi-finished materials for compost and paving blocks, at that stage the technology is appropriate to provide added value in the process household waste treatment. The utilization of organic waste powder that is processed with EM4 produces solid compost, and inorganic waste can be processed as a base material for paving blocks. The results of the PKM in the Assisted Village have added value both in improving the quality of environmental cleanliness and increasing employment for the surrounding community in utilizing appropriate technology as a household waste processor.

Abstract

Kemampuan praktik dengan hasil yang diharapkan merupakan isu utama untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan megukur capaian mahasiswa pada praktik dasar listrik. Penilaian kemampuan dasar dalam praktik dan nilai yang diharapkan, dianalisis dengan perhitungan gap yang diadaptasi dengan menggunakan Importance – performance (IP) analysis. Secara implisit masing-masing atribut dimasukan ke dalam kuadran model persamaan struktural IP- analysis orde ke 2. selanjutnya hasil pemetaan setiap parameter tersebut dianalisis sebagai berikut kuadran A: Prioritas utama; kuadran B: pertahankan kerja bagus; kuadran C: prioritas rendah; kuadran A: prioritas berlebih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, kinerja mahasiswa tercapai untuk aspek prestasi membaca gambar, memilih komponen, memasang komponen dan prioritas berlebih, mengukur hasil praktik dan menginterpretasikan hasil pengukuran.

Abstract

Perencanaan dan pemasangan system penerangan pada Gedung perkuliahan menjadi isu utama. Penelitian  dilakukan pada gedung baru FPTK Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Pada Gedung tersebut diobservasi dan penerangan dilakukan pengukuran dengan lux meter kemudian    datanya diuji dengan  DIALux (Deutsches Institut für angewandte Lichttechnik)  software dan perhitungan menggunakan Microsoft Excel.Perhitungan mengacu pada standar SNI(Standar Nasional Indonesia), dengan memperhatikan nilai faktor depresi, refleksi pada suatu lampu, lux yang dibutuhkan oleh ruangan dan lumen yang dihasilkan oleh lampu. Hasil perhitungan data penerangan yang terpasang  pada bangunan mempunyai tingkat kesesuaian 70% terhadap nilai standar SNI.
