Abstract

Online learning during the COVID 19  or post pandemic presents challenges not only for the teachers but also the students. Exploring students’ engagement during their online learning is one way of understanding what might contribute to their success although teaching and learning has to be delivered online. This study tries to investigate the correlation between students’ engagement and their perception of their success during their online learning. This study applies quantitative approach in order to answer the hypothesis of this study whether students’ engagement is positively correlated to their perception of success in online learning situation. This study uses questionnaire distributed to 473 students in two vocational schools in Central Java. The statistical descriptive analysis of both variables being measured in this study shows that students are in the medium category of engagement, with one sub variable indicates a high engagement which is their engagement to the material. Apart from the engagement performed by the students, this study has successfully proved that there is positive relationship between students’ engagement and their perception of success. To conclude, this study provides some recommendations to further examine students’ engagement in vocational education.

Abstract

Pendampingan belajar bagi anak usia dasar dan menengah ini dilaksanakan untuk menjawab kebutuhan peserta didik yang berjemaat di GBI Karanggede. Mereka mengalami kesulitan belajar untuk mempersiapkan tes atau ujian khususnya pada mata pelajaran matematika dan Bahasa Inggris. Oleh karena itu, pendampingan ini dirancang untuk memfasilitasi belajar anak mulai usia sekolah dasar hingga sekolah menengah secara intensif oleh tim dosen dan mahasiswa yang ada di program studi Pendidikan Teknik Informatika dan Komputer. PkM ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Kegiatan melibatkan tim dosen, mahasiswa, anak usia SD dan sekolah menengah yang ada di GBI Karanggede. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan selama kurang lebih 4 bulan ini terlaksana dengan baik dan mendapatkan hasil yang memuaskan. Menurut hasil evaluasi dan wawancara singkat dengan orang tua murid, anak -anak yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini meningkat hasil belajarnya dan salah satu peserta berhasil lolos seleksi nasional perguruan tinggi negeri.

Abstract

Informatics subjects are subjects that study ICT content extensively or broadly. In informatics subjects students often use computer devices. Computer Self Efficacy (CSE) namely self-confidence in operating a computer. CSE as one of the most important variables in the field of information technology. CSE plays an important role in informatics subjects. A good CSE supports students in informatics learning activities. Computational thinking as a way to solve a complex problem by applying computational methods and concepts in computer science. This research was conducted to determine the effect of computer self-efficacy (CSE) on students' computational thinking in informatics subjects. The research method used in this study was a quantitative inferential method with a sample of 259 respondents. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Salatiga. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is known that CSE has an influence on students'.

Abstract

Abstrak –  Masuknya Covid-19 dalam dunia pendidikan membuat calon guru dituntut untuk menguasai teknologi dan memiliki self-efficacy tinggi untuk menghadapi perubahan dengan melihat perbandingan pembelajaran  secara online dan kemudian kembali lagi ke pembelajaran tatap muka. Self-efficacy adalah keyakinan individu dalam menghadapi keadaan apapun. Sebagai calon guru sangat penting sekali untuk memahami,  menguasai dan memanfaatkan teknologi dengan memiliki self-efficacy tinggi agar bisa menyelesaikan masalah pembelajaran dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan  mengetahui bagaimana menghadapi masalah self-efficacy dalam perubahan penggunaan teknologi  pada masa pandemi dan setelah pandemi Covid-19, calon guru TIK Pendidikan Teknik Informatika dan Komputer di salah satu perguruan tinggi swasta  Salatiga yang sedang  melaksanakan program praktikum mengajar. Penelitian ini memakai metode kualitatif dan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara. Melibatkan 10 mahasiswa calon guru sebagai narasumber. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasikan 4 sumber self-efficacy yaitu; Mastery experiences, Experiances of others, Verbal persuasion, Psychological and Emotional influence. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan empat sumber utama yang diteliti ini sangat mempengaruhi  dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri bagi calon guru TIK selama pandemi dan setelah pandemi. Akhirnya, penelitian ini menawarkan rekomendasi untuk penelitian lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi praktik teknologi mahasiswa yang melaksanakan Program Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) dalam pembelajaran berbasis Teknologi Informasi dalam situasi pandemi dan setelah pandemi Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Informatika dan Komputer UKSW. Penelitian ini juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan dan permasalahan yang dihadapi mahasiswa PPL dalam penerapan Teknologi Informasi pada situasi dan kondisi pendidikan yang berbeda, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara menggunakan aplikasi WhatsApp. Hasil wawancara diolah dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel informasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa praktik penggunaan teknologi mahasiswa PPL saat dan setelah pandemi dinilai cukup baik dengan upaya yang dilakukan untuk terus dapat menyampaikan materi di tengah kendala dan situasi yang ada. Saat pandemi, sebanyak 80% informan mengaku terbantu dengan adanya teknologi-teknologi tersebut karena materi pembelajaran dapat diakses dimana saja tanpa melalui tatap muka. Sebanyak 10% informan merasa teknologi kurang mampu untuk menunjang pembelajaran disebabkan karena adanya gangguan koneksi internet yang menyebabkan materi pembelajaran yang disampaikan tidak berjalan baik. Dan sebanyak 10%  informan merasa tidak terbantu karena siswa menjadi pasif. Sedangkan pada situasi setelah pandemi, seluruh informan atau 100% responden menyatakan terbantu dengan teknologi-teknologi yang ada. .

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menilai tingkat motivasi siswa dalam menggunakan Canva ditinjau menggunakan TRI (Technology Readiness Index) 2.0. Metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan survey berbasis kuesioner diterapkan dalam penelitian ini, dimana diberikan sejumlah pernyataan yang telah dirumuskan sebelumnya berdasarkan TRI (Technology Readiness Indeks) 2.0. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi siswa SMK Negeri 1 Kandeman dalam menggunakan Canva untuk pembelajaran berada di kisaran sedang. Hal ini terlihat dari konstruk optimisme dan keinovasian yang masing-masing memiliki skor rata-rata 3.94 untuk konstruk optimisme dan 3.01 untuk konstruk keinovasian, sehingga diperoleh skor rata-rata untuk unsur motivator ini adalah 3.47. Konstruk optimisme dan keinovasian memiliki hubungan atau korelasi yang cukup kuat setelah dianalisa menggunakan korelasi Rank Spearman. Keduanya memiliki hubungan korelasi yang positif, sehingga semakin tinggi konstruk keinovatifan dinilai, semakin tinggi pula nilai untuk konstruk optimisme. Temuan ini diharapkan mampu menjadi bahan pertimbangan oleh guru dalam merencanakan pembelajaran untuk siswa.   Kata kunci : Motivasi; Canva; TRI 2.0.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the ignorance of TKJ students at SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga about learning styles; some still need clarification about their learning styles. This research was conducted to analyze learning styles and know the dominant learning styles in grade X, XI, and XII TKJ SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga students. Also, to find out the most dominant learning style in TKJ students at SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga. The research method used quantitative descriptive with research subjects of 150 students selected using stratified random sampling techniques. Testing and data collection were done through Akupintar.id website and analyzed by frequency distribution. The results showed that class X TKJ 38% tended to have a kinesthetic visual mixed learning style, grade XI TKJ 56% tended to have a visual learning style, and XII TKJ 44% tended towards kinesthetic visual mixed learning style. Overall, students majoring in TKJ have the most dominant learning style, namely kinesthetic visual mixture, with a percentage of 82%. Students majoring in TKJ predominantly learn by involving their sense of sight and physique in the learning process. This research provides learning style analysis information for teachers as an evaluation material and future learning program plans.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in the Informatics subject at SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga with the aim of increasing student motivation. The research was conducted through a survey using Google Form to collect student responses to the use of the PBL model. The results showed that 95.6% of students gave positive responses to the PBL model, showing feelings of pleasure, interest, and high motivation, skills, activeness, discovery of new ideas, and understanding of the material. These findings indicate that the PBL model is effective in increasing student motivation. This model provides opportunities for students to be actively involved in solving problems that are relevant to real life, developing critical thinking skills, problem solving, and independent abilities. In addition, cooperation in groups and support from teachers and schools also have an important role in increasing student motivation. The results of this study conclude that the application of the PBL model in Informatics subjects can be an effective alternative to increase student motivation in various subjects Keywords: response questionnaire, learning motivation, student responses, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out to facilitate the needs of the Satya Wacana Christian 1 Kindergarten students in Salatiga as an effort to introduce kindergarten students to computers. Students usually only know cell phones or tablets but rarely use computers. This training activity was attended by kindergarten students with an age range of 5-6 years and was carried out in four stages, namely the planning stage, the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The activity involved a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Information Technology, Satya Wacana Christian University as activity facilitators and three teachers from Satya Wacana Christian 1 Kindergarten. This program was conducted at the Computer Laboratory of the Faculty of Information Technology, Satya Wacana Christian University, which included introducing computer equipment, opening websites, and practicing using a mouse through online educational games. The online educational games used in this activity are mixing colors, counting, getting to know water transportation, getting to know 2D shapes, knowing numbers, and assembling puzzles. The activity went well, where the students could recognize and operate computers, especially using the mouse, and learn through the online educational games.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the learning motivation of class II students at SDN 2 Gombang is during the pandemic. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews with class II teachers at SDN 2 Gombang. The results of the research show that students' learning motivation during online learning during the pandemic is low and has decreased compared to learning before the pandemic. One of the things that influences this is the lack of direct interaction between teachers and students.
