Abstract

SBI interest rate is yield of investment in the form of Sertifikat Bank Indonesia (SBI) which is determined by Bank Indonesia. Dollar exchange rate is relative price of Dollar against Rupiah. Certificates of Bank Indonesia as free risk investment instrument and Dollar exchange rate are consideration factors before investing in stock market in the form of shares so that stock prices will be influenced by those two variables. This study used the monthly data of SBI Interest Rates and semimonthly Dollar Exchange Rates and they are officially recorded in Bank Indonesia. The monthly closing price of IHSG was used as stock price data. This study used data of 2006 – 2010 and was processed by utilizing SPSS 17.0. From this study it can be concluded that SBI interest rate has strong correlation, has negative and significant influence, on stock prices. SBI interest rate has weak correlation, has negatif but not significant influence, on Dollar exchange rate. From the study of other factors that affect Dollar exchange rate, it can be found out that Dollar exchange rate is significantly affected by the balance of payments. Dollar exchange rate has moderate correlation, has negativeand significant influence, towards stock prices. SBI interest rate and Dollar exchange rate simultaneously have strong correlation, have negative and significant influence, towards stock prices.

Abstract

The research aimed at identifying the morphology of mycorrhizal arbuscular fungi (MAF) on the root zones of different horticultural crops (peppers, potato, leek, cabbage, tomato and chicory) in Nupabomba village Tanatovea sub district of Donggala.  It was descriptive exploratory study and conducted from October to December 2015. Samples of soil were purposively taken around the root zone and analyzed for its chemical and physical characteristics as well as for mycorrhizae  spore isolation and its identification.  The research results showed that the highest spore number of 303 spores per 10 g was found in the leek plantation whereas the lowest number of 43 spores per 10 g in the potatoes plantation.  There are four types of spore genus i.e. Acaulaspora, Entrophospora, Glomus and Paraglomu.  The Glomus genus was the dominant spores found in all types of the horticultural plantations.

Abstract

Aging is a natural process in human life and is triggered by the presence of free radicals (ROS). The use of antioxidants from natural ingredients is one of the breakthroughs to overcome aging and counteract the harmful effects caused by the free radicals. This study aimed to determine and compare the antioxidant activity of H2O2 scavenging and hyaluronidase inhibition of red dragon fruit peel extract (DFPE) and kaempferol-3-o-rutinoside (KOR) compounds. Dragon fruit peel extract (DFPE) is obtained through extraction by maceration method using 70% ethanol solvent. The design of this study included antioxidant and anti-aging activity assay of EKBN and KOR at the series concentration of 15.63; 31.25; 62.50; 125; 250; 500 µg/mL through H2O2 scavenging, as well as the DFPE and KOR hyaluronidase inhibition assay at the series concentration of 5.21; 10.42; 20.83; 41.7; 83.33; 166.67 µg/mL. EKBN shows that the average activity of H2O2 scavenging is lower than KOR. In addition, the IC50 values of KOR for H2O2 scavenging is lower (351.46±2.30ug/mL) than DFPE (409.64±23.17ug/mL). While, KOR also has higher values of inhibitory activity than of the DFPE. However, the IC50 value of KOR for hyaluronidase inhibition activity was 84.07±10.46µg/mL, equivalent to the IC50 value of DFPE (85.32±10.24µg/mL). The presence of antioxidant and anti-aging activity in the EKBN is probably caused by betalain and the KOR compound itself contained in red dragon fruit. The results of the paired-samples T-test on antioxidant activity and anti-aging of DFPE and KOR showed non-significant difference. Thus, DFPE has an equivalent antioxidant and anti-aging through H2O2 scavenging and hyaluronidase activity as possessed by the KOR compound.

Abstract

Ikan gabus (channa striata) merupakan jenis fauna yang hidup pada perairan tawar. Ikan ini  mampu bertahan hidup selama musim kemarau dengan menggali lumpur pada danau, kanal dan rawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebiasaan makanan ikan gabus (C. striata) pada bulan januari-maret 2018 bertempat di perairan Rawa Aopa Aopa Watumohai Desa Pewutaa Kecamatan Angata Kabupaten Konawe Selatan. Pengamatan sampel ikan dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Pengujian, Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan, Universitas Halu Oleo Kendari, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terhadap indeks bagian terbesar pada lambung ikan gabus yang di tangkap menunjukkan bahwa indeks bagian terbesar yang ditemukan dalam  isi lambung ikan gabus adalah jenis makanan  ikan (62,39%) hal ini berarti ikan merupakan makanan utama pada ikan gabus. Selanjutnya didapatkan cacing (6,53%), Keong (2,27%) dan  serasah (5,50%) merupakan makanan pelengkap pada ikan gabus. Sedangkan MTT (23,31%). Tinggi mtt dan serasah yang diperoleh dalam lambung ikan gabus memungkinkan dalam keadaan memakan  mangsanya ikan gabus sempat memakan dedaunan.Kata kunci : Kebiasaan Makan, Ikan Gabus, Rawa Aopa
