Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana Kemampuan Koneksi Matematik (KKM) di tinjau dari Kemampuan Awal Matematika (KAM) dan menelaah kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal tes KKM. Subjek penelitian ini siswa SMP Angkasa Lanud Sulaiman kelas VIII C sebanyak 25 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun instrumen penelitian ini berupa instrume tes yang terdiri dari 5 soal uraian kemampuan koneksi matematik. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa KKM siswa sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan awal matematikanya, yaitu siswa yang berada di kelompok atas memiliki KKM 69%, siswa kelompok menengah sebesar 58% dan kelompok bawah sebesar 45%. Sedangkan kemampuan koneksi matematik dinyatakan tinggi jika persentase minmal adalah 75%, sehingga kemampuan koneksi matematik siswa dari ketiga kelompok KAM masih tergolong rendah. Kemudian siswa memperoleh persentase skor tinggi pada indikator soal no 1, yaitu memahami hubungan antar topik matematika dan persentase rendah pada indikator no 2, yaitu mengenali representasi ekuivalen dari konsep yang sama. Sedangkan untuk KAM bawah skor terendah terdapat pada soal indikator no 2 dan no 5.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the learning difficulties of mathematics experienced by students of class XI Vocational School in terms of mathematical communication skills. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were 20 students pleasure XI Bina Insan Bangsa (BIB) Vocational School Ngamprah from the Department of Motorcycle Engineering (TSM) and Online and Marketing Business (BDPMS). Data collection techniques in this study used observation, tests and interviews, while data analysis techniques in this study were data collection, data processing, data presentation and conclusion drawing. So the conclusions that can be drawn from this study are that students' learning difficulties in mathematics are; difficulty of concepts and verbal difficulties. The causes of the difficulties experienced by students are among others due to the low mathematical communication skills of students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning with the help of Geogebra on improving the mathematical problem solving abilities of middle school students. The research method used simple linear regression analysis with IBM SPSS 20 and research design with The One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. The place of research was conducted in one of the Cimahi city junior high schools in class VIII even semester 2018-2019. The subject of this study was class VIII B students on circle material. The instrument of this study is a test of the problem of problem solving ability. The results of the study showed that there was a significant positive effect between learning with Geogebra's assistance on the improvement of junior high school students' mathematical problem solving abilities
