Abstract

Kupang City is one of the areas that has become the center of marine fish marketing in East Nusa Tenggara Province. Sea fisheries production in 2017 amounted to 25,262.27 tons consisting of 32 types of fish. Until now, information about important marine fish species and their marketing channels in Kupang City are still limited. The purpose of the research is to identificate and inventory important marine fish species and analyze their marketing channels. This research discusses in Kupang City from May to November 2019 The research locations were Oesapa Market, Oeba Fish Market, Pasir Panjang Fish Market, Kasih Market and Tenau Fish Landing Center. This research was conducted using the field survey method and literature review. Based on the results of the study data obtained by demersal fish species of 72 species, which are included in 42 genera and 29 families. Pelagic fish species numbered 38 species, which are included in 28 genera and 14 families. So the number of species of marine fish inventoryed and collected was 110 species consisting of 43 families and 70 genera. The types of sea fish are very important which are inventoried as many as 62 species of demersal fish and 38 types of pelagic fish. So a total of 100 important marine fish that have been successfully inventoryed and repaired are 100 species. For marketing channels, from the survey results, five (5) network marketing models for important marine fish products were obtained in Kupang City. There are 7 types of marketing institutions involved from producers to registered consumers: traders, sea collectors, land collectors, retailers, agents, end consumers, and exporters.  Keywords: marine fish, demersal, pelagic, economically important, marketing

Abstract

Economic analysis of the business development catfish farming in Kota Kupang aims to:  feasibility mengetetahui catfish farming comprising: aspects of market , technical , financial , management, institutional involved , the law ( kelegalan effort ) , socio-economic and environmental aspects, recognize the catfish farming business development and Plan out effort (Business Plans ) cultured catfish .This research used descriptive method . Descriptive method is a method which aims to provide a general, systematic , factual and actual . This descriptive method are two: the descriptive method qualitative and quantitative methods . Implementation of current research in the field is to survey techniques that emphasize the historical data in the bibliography. Sampling techniques / determination of respondents do purposive sampling studies where samples are selected based on judgment . While the considerations taken based on the purpose of the study. Abstract

The evaluation of fisheries performance using Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM) is done by evaluating indicators based on existing data. The data used for indicators’ evaluation have to be up to standards and requirements in place. Three out of six domains that are going to be evaluated in this process consist of fish resources, habitats and ecosystems of fish, and also the catching technology of it. The process of evaluating the fisheries performance of Kupang Bay Marine Nature Park has been finished. This research is made to help describe fisheries performance that would be a great consideration for development of sustainable fisheries in collaboration with development of tourism inside the area. Based on results of composite evaluation and analysis, fisheries performance in Kupang Bay Marine Nature Park is categorized as not applying the EAFM enough. This is not only because the real condition on the field is very unsatisfactory, even gradually diminishing, but also because the availability of data needed for research has not been met. In order to guarantee the validity of fisheries performance in the area for the next two years, there are some strategic actions being offered like provision of institution that will manage data integration, formation of observers that will accompany fishermen during fish catching, training for fishermen so they can do data collecting during fish catching, development of integrated research programs, and optimization of fish auction places in relation to data recording for performance evaluation. Active involvement of all parties will hopefully guarantee the improvement of fisheries performance in the next two years.

Abstract

Marketing Model of Skipjack Tuna in Kupang Regency.  The study was aimed to identify marketing model of Skipjack Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) in Kupang City especially in Namosain, Oeba and Oesapa markets. The samples were selected by using Cluster Random Sampling method.  Descriptive analysis was used to analyse model ofevery marketing channel of Skipjack Tuna.  The study disclosed that there were 5 channels in Skipjack Tuna marketing and 2 marketing models. The first model, the fishermen made partnership relation with owner of Skipjack Tuna fishing boat as well as the owner of  equipment and trader.  The second model, the fishermen had no partership. Condusive marketing model for fisherman is still need with support from govermant and other institute. Keyword: Skipjack Tuna, Marketing Model, Marketing Channel

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola hubungan kerja ponggawa sawi pada usaha perikanan teripang ditinjau dari fungsi ekonomitelah dilaksanakan pada Bulan April sampai Juni 2011 di Pulau Barrang Lompo, Kota Makassar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan mewawancarai 8 orang ponggawa dan 45 orang sawi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara Purposive Random Sampling. Analisis kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis pola hubungan kerja ponggawa sawi pada usaha perikanan teripang dan analisis kuantitatif untuk menganalisis pendapatan ponggawa dan sawi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya dua (2) pola hubungan kerja ponggawa sawi pada usaha perikanan teripang, yaitu berdasarkan suku dan kontrak kerja. Sistem bagi hasil ponggawa sawi pada usaha perikanan teripang ada dua (2) pola. Padapola pertamaponggawa mendapat bagian 25 persen dari hasil dan 75 persen dibagikan kepada sawi; sedangkan pada pola ke duaponggawamendapat bagian 50 persen dari hasil dan 50 persen sisanya dibagikan kepada sawi. Pendapatan rata-rata per bulanponggawa pada sistem bagi hasil 25 : 75 berkisar Rp. 3.300.000 sampai Rp. 4.500.000sedangkan sawiberkisar Rp. 750.000 sampai Rp. 1.375.000.Pada sistem bagi hasil 50 : 50, pendapatan ratarata per bulanponggawa berkisar Rp. 2.100.000,- sampai Rp. 2.980.000 dan sawi berkisar Rp. 480.000 sampai Rp. 1.650.000(Title: An Analysis of Work Relationship Pattern of Ponggawa Sawi in The Sea Cucumber Business In Terms of Economic Function)The study aimed to to analyze the ponggawa sawi workrelationship patternin the sea cucumberbusiness in terms of economic function was conducted April to June 2011 in Barrang Lompo Island, Makassar City. This was a case study involving 8 ponggawa and 45 sawi.Respondents were selected by purposive sampling. Qualitative analysis was used to analyse the work relationship patternof ponggawa sawi and quantitative analysis was used to analyzed ponggawa and sawi income.The study disclosed that there were two patterns of the work relationship in the sea cucumber business management: one was based on tribe and the other was based on work contract. There were two types of a profit shaing system. In type I, ponggawa had 25 percent of the share and sawi had 75 percent, while in type II, ponggawa has 50 percent and sawi had 50 percent. The average monthly incomes of ponggawa in the first system (25:75), respectively,was from IDR 750,000 to IDR 1,375,000 and sawi from IDR 3,300,000 to IDR 4,500,000. In the second system (50:50), the average monthly income of ponggawa and sawi respectively was IDR 2,100,000 to IDR 2,980,000 and IDR 480,000 to IDR 1,650,000

Abstract

ABSTRAKSektor perikanan terbagi menjadi perikanan tangkap dan perikanan budidaya. Perikanan tangkap berkorelasi dengan nelayan dan masyarakat pesisir, sedangkan budidaya berkorelasi dengan pembudidaya yang berada di darat. Salah satu komoditas ikan air tawar yang sangat potensial untuk dibuddiayakan adalah ikan lele. Ikan lele merupakan salah satu jenis ikan air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi. Permintaan ikan lele yang semakin meningkat menuntut para pelaku budidaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitasnya. Untuk meningkatkan produktivitas maka Ditjen Perikanan Budidaya terus melakukan inovasi dan pengembangan teknologi yang menghasilkan sistem pembesaran ikan lele yang lebih efisien, yaitu sistem Boster. Hal ini seiring dengan pengembangan kegiatan budidaya perikanan menjadi salah satu prioritas Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan guna meningkatkan perekonomian masyakat. Permintaan ikan lele yang semakin meningkat menuntut para pelaku budidaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitasnya. Selama ini, umumnya pembudidaya lele masih melakukan pembesaran system konvensional. Untuk meningkatkan produktivitas maka Ditjen Perikanan Budidaya terus melakukan inovasi dan pengembangan teknologi yang menghasilkan sistem pembesaran ikan lele yang lebih efisien. Sistem tersebut salah satunya adalah sistem Boster. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk  perbandingan pertumbuhan ikan leles sangkuriang sistem antara sistem Boster dan konvensional .Dari hasil pengukuran kualitas air suhu 25-27oC, pH 7 dan DO 1,2 – 2,2 selama pemeliharaan pada kedua perlakuan masih pada kisaran yang layak, FCR 0,546 dan 1,1 masih pada kisaran yang baik. Dari analisa keuangan sistem boster nilai RC-Ratio :  1.1 sedangkan sistem konvensional  RC Ratio : 1.03. Umur panen sistem boster 80 hari dan sistem konvensional 100 hari. Berdasarkan hasil analisa tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa  pertumbuhan ikan lele sangkuriang sistem pembesaran boster lebih bagus  dibandingkan dengan dengan sistem konvensional. Kata kunci : ikan lele, boster, konvensional, pembesaran

Abstract

 To increase catfish productivity, the Directorate General of Aquaculture continues to innovate and develop technology that results in a more efficient catfish enlargement system. The purpose of this study is to find out the most efficient and economically feasible sangkuriang catfish enlargement system between biofloc and conventional systems. From the results of water quality measurements of temperatures of 25-27oC, pH 7, DO 1.2 – 2.2, FCR 0.9 and 1.1 are still in the good range. From the financial analysis of the biofloc system the value of RC-Ratio: 1.1 while the conventional system RC Ratio: 1.03. The harvest life of the biofloc system is 80 days and the conventional system is 100 days. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the enlargement of sangkuriang catfish using a biofloc system is more economical in terms of cost and time.  Keywords: catfish, biofloc, conventional, enlargement

Abstract

Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu penjual ikan dalam menyediakan alat untuk menjual ikan yang memadai sehingga kelompok bisa berjualan dengan baik dan ketika selesai berjualan tidak merusak pemandangan dengan ketidakteraturan meja yang tidak memadai, menciptakan dan meningkatkan kualitas pemasaran ikan yang mereka pasaran sehingga hasil yang mereka dapat lebih meningkat serta membuat produk olahan selain ikan yang mereka pasaran sehingga apabila ikan mereka jual tidak laku bisa mereka olah sehingga dapat menambah hasil pendapatan dan kualitas ikan mereka tetap segar. Pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) digunakan dalam kegiatan ini.Dengan pendekatan ini masyarakat memiliki peran yang besar dalam pelaksanaanya. Tahapan yang dilakukan adalah penyuluhan tentang pemetaan potensi dan rantai produksi hasil perikanan, Pelatihan pengolahan hasil perikanan serta pemasaran produk dan pemberian bantuan berupa meja untuk tempat berjualan ikan Peningkatan keberdayaan dan kapasitas dapat dilihat melalui meningkatnya jumlah ikan yang dijual. Produk olahan ikan dengan menggunakan jenis ikan yang kurang laku dan sudah tidak segar mampu meningkatkan nilai tambah ikan dan berpotensi menjadi produk olahan ikan unggulan di Kupang.
