Abstract

This book is part of Yudi Latif's anxiety as a child of the nation to respond to the problems of the nation and state today. In addition to presenting a description of the Pancasila philosophy as the focus, this book also aims to formulate state problems through studying the fundamental and essential perspective of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Pancasila. In this book, it is as if Yudi wants a precise formulation for the decline of the nation's character because for him this decline has become cancer, not the flu anymore. Therefore, through Pancasila as an idea and a practice, Yudi wants to find and at the same time seek answers to why the problems of Indonesia as a country and a nation are still recurring. Yudi wants this nation to have a new political vision, a vision that is a solution to the crisis of morality and ethos that has hit the nation. For Yudi, Pancasila is a "dead monument", but has a dynamic and representative meaning following the changing times.

Abstract

Abstract

The development of the world of tourism so rapidly from year to year. This implies an inevitable new tourist attraction. This development has its traces from the 20th century as a result of the decline of human existence, the objectification of nature and the breaking of the chain of sacredness with God through tradition. The second decade of the 21st century shows that this disconnection and decadence can be re-woven through tourism. This research will explore the statement: what kind of tourism model can then intertwine humans' disconnection from themselves, nature and God? The result is that in the ecotourism and religious tourism models there is a possibility of a harmonious mutualism symbiosis. Specifically in this study, the authors found that ecotourism (Trigonasantri Garden) and religious tourism objects (Petilasan Linggabuana) have a fundamental component—traditionally—relationship between humans, nature and God.

Abstract

Postcolonialism is a branch of the cultural studies that focuses on socio-cultural analysis, including signs and languages. Colonialism had clear implications in the actions of postcolonial society. Homi K. Bhabha found identification that in postcolonialism there emerged what he called as hybridity. Hybridity is a cross-culture (both intrinsic and extrinsic) that appears in society in many forms, one of which is language and attitude. This research will review Salman Rushdie's Midnight’s Children novel to reveal which aspects are hybridities. As a methodological tool, the authors use descriptive analysis (intrinsic-extrinsic). In this study, the authors found a large number of hybridity identifications in the novel Midnight’s Children. Especially in the aspects of identity (especially the formation of the subject), language, and inner struggle of characters in the novel.
