Abstract

Some Banjar people believe in and eshtablish familiarity with crocodile incarnation. Such crocodiles are believed can help or even disrupt the keepers family. One of the rituals of the belief is that the family make offerings that is put into the river, so that the crocodile will not tempt to annoy and otherwise help the keepers family. The kinship with animals is called totemism which is a hereditary belief.Keywords: belief, behavior, incarnated crocodile.Sebagian masyarakat Banjar mempercayai dan menjalin keakraban dengan buaya jelmaan. Buaya jelmaan dipercaya dapat membantu, dan mengganggu keluarga pemeliharanya. Dari kepercayaan itu, mereka memberi sesajen yang dimasukan ke dalam air sungai, agar buaya jelmaan tidak mengganggu dan dapat membantu mereka. Hubungan kekerabatan dengan binatang adalah paham totem yang merupakan kepercayaan turun temurun yang diwariskan.Kata kunci: kepercayaan, perilaku, buaya jelmaan

Abstract

It has become the responsible of all parties to promote public toleratnce in the mids of religious pluralism in Indonesia. The issue of tolerance is a matter of religious awareness which concerns with the psychological aspect, so that it is significant to present the issue of tolerance with psychological approach. Women as one of the active religious followers have psychological potential to exhibit tolerance. Various roles that women run have coloured themselves with the essence of humanity that all human whatever ethnicity and religion they proclaim are one big family who should live in harmony.Keywords: women, tolerance, psychological, harmony,Adalah menjadi tanggung jawab semua pihak untuk mewujudkan masyarakat yang toleran di tengah pluralitas agama di Indonesia. Persoalan toleransi adalah persoalan kesadaran beragama yang menyangkut aspek psikologis, sehingga penting mengetengahkan isu toleransi dengan pendekatan psikologis. Wanita sebagai salah satu pihak penganut agama aktif memiliki potensi psikologis yang besar untuk berperilaku toleran, berbagai peran yang dijalaninya memberikan wanita makna nilai-nilai kemanusiaan, bahwa semua manusia apa pun agama, suku dan rasnya adalah satu keluarga besar yang bisa hidup dengan harmonis.Kata kunci: wanita, toleransi, psikologis, kekeluargaan, keharmonisan.

Abstract

Abstract

Banjarese people carry out the celebration or commemoration of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad Saw. with swinging children or adults, this event commonly referred to baayun mulud. The purpose of this event is based on various motives, both religious, sociological, and some other political-cultural motives. The religious motivation is the belief that it will be granted all the luck, get blessings, health, safety, recover from illness, child is not naughty / fussy and because nadzar which granted Allah Swt. The sociological motivation of this event is to cultivate the spirit of togetherness, mutually cooperation, and unity in the midst of urban society that tends to be individualist today. While the political-cultural motivation can be felt from the statement of the organizing committee who firmly stated that this event was held in order to revive a tradition that has been forgotten, whereas it used to exist in the time of the Sultanate of Banjar. Along with the reaffirmation of the existence of the Sultanate of Banjar, then the existence of culture that ever existed in the heyday of this Sultanate also tried to be raised again.
