Abstract

Gravitational Water Vortex Power Plant (GWVPP) merupakan salah satu jenis teknologi energi terbarukan menggunakan sumber energi air dan dikategorikan sebagai mini-mikrohidro dengan head rendah dimana struktur saluran dan cekungan digunakan untuk membuat pusaran, yang kemudian di ekstraksi melalui runner. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengaruh desain basin dan saluran, bentuk sudu, faktor eksternal, dan simulasi numerik water turbine vortvex. Desain basin kerucut lebih efisiensi dibanding dengan basin silinder.Bentuk sudu lengkung lebih efisien dari bentuk sudu datar. Debit air yang masuk ke dalam saluran dapat mempengaruhi kecepatan aliran air. Simulasi numerik digunakan untuk mendapatkan data seperti data eksperimen langsung di lapangan menggunakan Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD). Diameter outlet yang kecil menghasilkan kecepatan maksimal pada basin berbentuk kerucut.Kata kunci: GWVPP, basin, geometri sudu, CFD

Abstract

The main press unit is the main part of the paving block printing machine using hydraulic power and a vibrator which is the development of the manual paving block printing machine. Currently, paving block printing machines which are usually carried out by workers manually have begun to be abandoned because the quality produced does not meet the SNI 03-0691-1996 standard and the demand is increasing. The purpose of this Main Press Unit design design is to design a paving block printing machine that can reach K400 quality and the amount of 100 m2 in a day. The main component design of the main press unit for the K400 type paving block printing machine (compressive strength 400 kg/cm2) consists of a middle hydraulic press with a pressure capacity of 10 MPa (compressive force of 12560 N with a bore diameter of 40 mm), two hydraulic side arm drives with 3.5 MPa capacity, two rear hydraulics driving the feeding box with a capacity of 3.5 MPa, main frame, upper mold, lower mold, lower mold vibrating table, upper mold vibrator, feeding box, and side molding drive arm. The total power requirement for all hydraulics is 1.606 kW (2.087 hp), while the total power requirement for the vibrator system is 1.47 kW (1.96 hp). This main press unit machine with a hydraulic pressure of 10 Mpa and with 15 pieces of mold can make paving blocks with K400 quality with a capacity of up to 100 m2 or more per day. The paving block materials used are; fine sand : coarse aggregate : fine aggregate : water plus concrete hardener ie 1/2 : 1 : 1 : 1/4.

Abstract

Shredded is a food that is quite popular in the community because of its soft taste and texture and has a long shelf life, so it is very suitable to be used as processed meat products to make it more durable. Making Beef Shredded consists of several stages ranging from boiling, refining fibers or shredding meat, mixing spices, soaking, frying, and draining oil. Mahkota Abon Business Group is a Abon business group located on Jl. Kaliurang Dusun Ngebo Rt. 07, Rw. 23, Sukoharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman, Yogyakarta, which in the process of making the shredded meat is still simple and manual, especially in the roasting process which requires a lot of energy and time. Meat shredding machine has been made and effectively can be operated easily to produce hygienic meat slices. Therefore, through this service, it is hoped that the shredded production capacity of MSME partners will increase both in terms of quantity and quality. The socio-economic impact after this service is carried out is an increase in knowledge about the components, workings, and maintenance of the meat frying machine, so it is hoped that the shredded meat produced by partners will increase in quality and quantity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamic performance of the 2011 Toyota Avanza Type G, which includes engine performance, maximum speed, time required to reach maximum speed, climbability and steering system performance. The analysis is based on empirical equations from the existing literature and vehicle specifications. From the analysis results obtained engine performance characteristics, the maximum speed that can be achieved is 165.6 km / h, the time required to reach a maximum speed of 24.87 seconds, able to climb at a maximum slope angle of 50.99° using 1st gear, able to turn with a turning angle (δi) to 40° without slipping.

Abstract

Determination of the type of mesh and mesh manufacturing density plays a very important role in a simulation, this is due to minimize the time and computational costs. This study presents a comparison of the influence of mesh on CFD analysis. Mesh is the most important part in doing a simulation. Mesh is good, affects the calculation results of a simulation. To simulate internal flow in injection molding cooling channels to make it more accurate. There are three types of mesh that are applied in a simulation of this study, namely: hexahedral, polyhedral, and tetrahedral mesh are applied to simulate the internal flow of cooling channel injection molding using the k-epsilon turbulence model. Simulation results show that the simulation method using the polyhedral mesh is proposed to be able to speed up calculations and accelerate the convergence of the simulation as evidenced by an iteration graph. The use of polyhedral mesh in CFD simulations is more effective than using tetrahedral or hexahedral mesh. However, the use of hexahedral mesh simulation results is closer to the experiment and requires a long iteration time. In addition, the result is polyhedral mesh requires less computational time than hexahedral mesh and tetrahedral mesh. Using polyhedral mesh in CFD was found to be more effective than using tetrahedral elements.
