Abstract

Abstract: Changes in the curriculum requires students to be more active, creative, and love of nature. Then, the addition of learning resources should also be emphasized, that is not the lack of information learned. Source of learning is learning system components are designed, selected, used to create a complete learning and controlled. Exploiting local potential to become a reference source of student learning, the material vertebrates. Vertebrates material is one material that is easily found in the neighborhood. One type of Vertebrates are easy to find fish. Panjaratan river is one of the rivers that have quite a lot of fish that can potentially be used as an additional reference source of learning. This research aimed to describe the results of the development of teaching materials of the river fish species Panjaratan in valid criteria. Research method used Research and Development. It contains how to develop teaching materials with some phase like validity by expert, and its revise. The data source used was involved 3 lecturer Lambung Mangkurat University and students from Pelaihari Senior High School 1. The results showed teaching materials are made is quite valid based on the validation expert (81,2%) and partner teachers (87,9%), and the test showed that the readability of teaching materials by students is worth using. Keywords: valid, teaching materials, river, pisces

Abstract

Data on crab species in the Mangrove Ecotourism Area Pagatan Besar Village, Tanah Laut Regency is not yet available. The purpose of this study was to describe the species of crab in the mangrove ecotourism area and explain its density and diversity. Three walkways that are made of ironwood (Eusideroxylon zwagery) with a width of about 1.5 m and a length of about 100 m stretch about 1.5 m above the mud surface. The three wooden walkways were used to observe species and count the number of crab individuals found in the sample plots. For each wooden walkway, there were 6 (1 m x 1 m) plots on the left and 6 (1 m x 1 m ) plots on the right. The distance between plots from the land to the sea was 20 m. Seven crab species are described. Two of them are crabs that are active at night. All crab species become denser along with the qualitative existence of mangrove forests and their shade to the environment and the substrate below. On the other hand, species diversity is thought to be influenced by the type of substrate (clay and sandy loam) and exposure by sunlight.

Abstract

In line with the increasing population and the community's need for city facilities and infrastructure, urban development continues to increase. The paradigm of urban development should have changed and needs to be designed early towards the city with a better, more balanced way of life and still paying attention to environmental quality. The level of environmental comfort decreases as a result of the imbalance between built-up space and green open space (RTH) with the three main functions of urban vegetation being structural function, environmental function and visual function. RTH has a role in shaping the comfort of the urban climate through ecological functions, namely as a regulator of air temperature and humidity, so that it can be used as input in improving the quality of the microclimate by improving the quality of urban RTH so as to minimize the decline in environmental quality. The purpose of the study was to analyze the influence of vegetation structure and the role in improving the microclimate at each Tropical Rainforest Miniature RTH location in the Governor's Office area in Banjarbaru City. Banua Botanical Garden as a research site located in the Banjarbaru City Area, South Kalimantan Provincial Government Office Complex. The influence of vegetation structure on Location I which is dominated by lawns/grasses and shrubs with horizontal and columnar header shapes with low header density. Meanwhile, in Location II, the shape of the canopy is columnar and horizontal with a medium canopy density and has a tree height of 3-4 meters, slightly reducing the air temperature around the RTH. For Locations III and IV, they have a pyramid-shaped and spherical header shape that acts as a counterweight to increasing air humidity and decreasing air temperature.  The role of the Tropical Rainforest Miniature RTH in the Governor's Office area in Banjarbaru City in improving the microclimate based on air temperature at locations I, II, III and IV, namely 30.1°C, 29.2°C, 28.0°C and 27.3°C.  It can be seen that location III and location IV have the lowest temperature because they have characteristics of vegetation structures that can lower air temperature. For humidity parameters, it will adjust to air temperature conditions as well as wind speed will adjust to the vegetation structure in the RTH.
