Abstract

The possible cause of divorce is the happening of nushuz from wife (party/side) and also husband. As for wife, nushuz is explained by at Q.S. al-Nisa‘ [4] sentence 34 and nushuz from husband at Q.S. al-Nisa‘ [4] sentence 128. This paper explain the view of al-Qurtubi and M. Quraish Shihab cited from al-Jami' Li Ahkam al-Qur‘an and Tafsir al-Misbah by considering the nowadays context particularly about gender equality as a means to revisit the concept in al-Qur'an about nushuz. The research belongs to library research. The data are managed using descriptive method in the form of comparative method and is also related to the perspective of gender equality in the concept of nushuz of wife as well as  husband.

Abstract

This paper aims to show Husein Muhammad's interpretation on verses related to religious pluralism. To achieve that purpose, the author uses the hermeneutic method of liberation by Farid Esack which wants to show the relationship between the text of the Qur’an and the context of the relationship between religious believers, which will then build justice based on human values. The key to Farid Esack's hermeneutics relates to piety, monotheism, relationships between humans, the oppressed, justice and concrete practices as a form of struggle (jihad) to humanize humans. The conclusion of this paper shows that Husein Muhammad has a very tolerant, wise and full of wisdom in conveying the meaning of religious pluralism verses. He believes that the messages in the Qur’an act as a guide to uphold human values. So that, the verse of religious pluralism requires for an equal position of religious people as God's creatures. There is no justification for certain religious communities which is the most right or which is clearly wrong.Keywords: Religious Pluralism, Husein Muhammad. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan penafsiran Husein Muhammad atas ayat-ayat yang terkait dengan tema pluralisme agama. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penulis menggunakan metode hermeneutika pembebasan Farid Esack yang ingin memperlihatkan relasi antara teks Alquran dengan konteks hubungan antarumat beragama, yang kemudian akan membangun keadilan berdasarkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Kunci hermeneutika Farid Esack berkaitan dengan takwa, tauhid, hubungan antarsesama manusia, golongan yang tertindas, keadilan serta praktik konkret sebagai bentuk perjuangan (jihad) memanusiakan manusia. Kesimpulan dari tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa Husein Muhammad memiliki pandangan yang amat toleran, bijak dan penuh hikmah dalam menyampaikan makna atas ayat-ayat pluralisme agama. Ia meyakini bahwa pesan-pesan dalam Alquran berperan sebagai pembawa petunjuk untuk menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Sehingga, ayat pluralisme agama menghendaki adanya kesamaan kedudukan umat beragama sebagai makhluk Tuhan. Tidak ada justifikasi atas umat agama tertentu yang paling benar atau yang jelas salah.Kata Kunci: Pluralisme agama, Husein Muhammad.

Abstract

At-Tarbiyyatul Wathoniyyah Islamic Boarding School (PATWA) located in the village of Mertapada Kulon, Astanajapura District, Cirebon Regency, is one of the Islamic boarding schools that conducts a routine reading of Surah Yasin, or commonly known as Surah Yasin Fadilah, in which there are dhirk and prayers. The phenomenon was used as the object of this study with some research questions formulated, which are (1) why do they conduct a routine reading of Surah Yasin Fadilah?, (2) what is the purpose of reading Surah Yasin Fadilah?, and (3) how does the practice of reading Surah Yasin Fadilah affect the community?

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss gender equality regarding women's leadership in the IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon campus environment according to the perspective of authentic Bukhari hadith. The method used in this research is literature study and field study. The research resulted in findings that in the campus environment IAIN Syekh Nurjati has implemented gender equality with examples of female leaders in the campus leadership structure or student organizations. This is in line with the authentic hadith of Bukhari regarding women's leadership explaining that this hadith has a special meaning if it is aligned with asbabul al-wurud because the incident occurred in ancient times with conditions that are of course different from today.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the impact of digitalization of social media on four Arabic skills. This study uses a qualitative approach by applying descriptive methods. The results and discussion of this study show that digitization can be accepted and entered into various groups in Indonesia through its use in several applications. The impact of digitalization has also made Indonesians interested in social media. From this, social media can also be used to improve foreign language skills, including Arabic by using the features available in several of these applications, including Instagram. There are various features such as follow, direct message, photo upload, video upload, and others that can be used to hone the four Arabic language skills, namely Maharah al-Istima', al-Kalam, al-Qira'ah, and al-Kitabah. But for al-Kitabah (writing) in the application it can only be done by typing via the keyboard, while writing by hand is done offline. There are also accounts of other users who can provide education about Arabic. Therefore, this study recommends communities of Arabic language lovers or learners to develop shared language skills remotely both in Indonesia and abroad.
