<![CDATA[This was a quasi-experimental research that aimed to know about the influence of cooperative learning model of jigsaw type towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. This research used a posttest only control design. The population was the grade seven students of Junior High School state 20 of Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2012/2013 as many as 217 students who distributed into six classes. Samples were students of VIID and VIIE class that chosen by purposive sampling technique. The data was value of conceptual understanding of mathematics which obtained by test. Based on the results of hypothesis test, conceptual understanding of mathematics of students who taught by the cooperative learning model of jigsaw type was better than conventional learning. It can be concluded that cooperative learning model of jigsaw type influenced conceptual understanding of mathematics of grade seven students of Junior High School state 20 of Bandar Lampung academic year of 2012/2013.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 20 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 217 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam enam kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIID dan kelas VIIE yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa nilai pemahaman konsep matematis yang diperoleh melalui tes. Hasil uji hipotesis, pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajran kooperatif tipe jigsaw lebih baik daripada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 20 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.Kata kunci: jigsaw, model pembelajaran kooperatif, pemahaman konsep matematis]]>
