Abstract

Calculus is a finite mathematics concepts to solve infinite mathematics problems. The subject which is given to students grade 1 and 2 semester, is a basic science to understanding the other subject on education mathematic program, Mathematics and science department, teacher training and education faculty, Sebelas Maret University. Learning of Interactive Multimedia (MMI) is one of  learning model based IT which can be used in Calculus I learning. This learning model have aim to enhance concept mastery and to improve the learning attitude of students a multimedia interactive based tutorial model of Calculus I is applied. This research is quasi experimental with subject on SBI class from the faculty of teacher training and education Sebelas Maret University with mathematical education as a experiment class and physic education as a control class. Research data were collected by using a concept mastery pretest, posttest and a questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted by using t –test. The result of this research show that the MMI learning have significance on improve Calculus learning quality and also improve the learning attitude of students.   Keywords: Calculus; Interactive multimedia; learning attitude

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Eigenvalue problems especially Sturm-Liouville equations often occur in physics. Homogenous Dirichlet or mixed boundary value problems can be constructed from these equations. The nontrivial solution from these equations can be obtained  using finite element methods. The purpose of this research is to obtain the details of  the  construction  of  finite  element  method  using  cubic  Hermite  interpolation  in    solving  Sturm-Liouville equations. The result shows that the solutions of the finite element method using cubic Hermite interpolation is  good  enough  in  solving  Sturm  Liouville  equation.  Based  on  the  example,  its  error  depends  on  the element’s length and the index of the eigenvalue or eigen function. Abstract

Robomind is one of the PAT (programming assistance tool) software that used as a tool for programming learning and improving the understanding of programming concepts, as well as improving the ability of logical thinking and problem solving. The advantages of Robomind compared to the other PATs are a simple graphical display and attractive, it can be used for students ranging from primary schools, secondary schools and further education. Besides design and features, Robomind has also fulfilled the Robert Gagne’s instructional theory concept. Theaim of this study is how to utilize robomind as a tool to motivate students in learning computer programming and know the students responses to its use in understanding the programming concepts. This research is motivated by the lack of student motivation in learning programming that caused by the initial perception that programming is difficult. In addition, some programming elusive concepts also make the lack of motivation to learn programming. This research was conducted at the Department of ICT Education FKIP UNS on Structured Programming course in first semester. Results showed, there were 90% of students feel motivated to learn programming although not previously been familiar with programming at all. In addition, it is also obtained from  the survey that 20% of students who previously had studied programming, 85% of whom could have better understanding concepts that were previously less understood.

Abstract

This study aims to improve learning outcomes and student motivation on Basic Programming Learning by utilizing the Scratch application. Research begins with identifying problems that occur in the classroom. Then designed an action to overcome it in an action cycle. In this study giving of the action takes place in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In cycle 1, learning is implemented using problem-based learning model, while in cycle 2 using project-based learning. The technique of data collection is done through comprehension test, observation of learning activity, assignment of portfolio, and interview to students and related teacher. Data analysis was done using quantitative and qualitative interactive analysis techniques. The results showed that the use of Scratch application can improve learning outcomes and student motivation. This is indicated by the percentage of the student’s learning outcomes completeness by 25.7% in pre-cycle, 71.4% in cycle 1, and 94.3% in cycle 2. While the percentage of student motivation is 40.3% in pre-cycle, 75.1% in cycle 1, and 83.9% on cycle 2.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil atau gambaran pemanfaatan teknologi IT dalam pemasaran atau pemasaran online produk kerajinan topeng dan kayu batik di desa Bobung, Putat, Kecamatan Pathuk Gungungkidul. Dengan mengetahui profil pemasasaran online ini dapat digunakan untuk menyusun strategi yang tempat mengenai strategi dan bentuk pegembangan pemasaran online sehingga dapat meningkatkan pasar produk kerajinan sekaligus meningkatkan omset pendapat para pengrajin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada dasarnya para pengrajin menyadari betul akan pentignya pemasaran secara online, sebagai alternatif media pemasaran yang ada selama ini yang lebih mengandalkan pada kegiatan pameran, brosur, dan informasi dari mulut ke mulut. Namun demikian di antara para pengrajin, baru 45% yang sudah mencoba menggunakan media online sebagai sarana pemasaran. Belum diterapkannya pemasaran online lebih pada kurangnya peralatan dan SDM untuk pengelolaan pemasaran secara online. Namun demikian melihat perkembangan teknologi informasi saat ini, terutama perangkat HP smartphone, masalah peralatan semestinya sudah tidak menjadi masalah karena dalam perangkat HP peralatan seperti koneksi internet, web, dan kamera dalam satu perangkat. Oleh karena itu penggunaan e-commerce mulai bergeser dengan m-commerce (mobile commerce), meskipun implementasinya m-commerce tidak bisa dipisahkan dengan e-commerce atau bisa disebut bahwa m-commerce merupakan salah satu bentuk dari e-Commerce.
