<![CDATA[AbstractMedians variety of potato is the main commodity developed by Agricultural Technology Park, Cikajang, Garut, West Java. The product has been partially sold in raw form and partly processed by itself into potato chips. This article will analyze the technical and financial feasibility of two ways of potato chips production. Production of potato chips has done manually by several machine units, therefore it needs to analyze technically and financially. Some analysis have conducted for this technical and financial analysis. The results showed that the average slicing capacity by slicing machine was 71.160 kg/hour, with the result of perfect shape about 58.493%. During five-year project, the cost of sold, break event point, benefit cost ratio, net present value, benefit cost ratio, and payback period by slicing machine were around of 55,591 Rp/kg, 612 kg/year, 459,639,059 Rp/year, 1.41, 17.17% and four months, respectively. In contras by traditional manner that the cost of sold, break event point, benefit cost ratio, net present value, benefit cost ratio, and payback period were nearly of 59,248 Rp/kg, 507 kg/year, 260,787,383 Rp/year, 1.35, 23.22% and four months, respectively.AbstrakKentang industri varietas Medians merupakan komoditi utama yang dikembangkan Taman Teknologi Pertanian, Cikajang, Garut, Jawa Barat. Hasil produksi sebagian dijual dalam bentuk mentah dan sebagianlagi diolah sendiri menjadi keripik kentang. Produksi keripik kentang dilakukan secara manual dan menggunakan beberapa unit mesin, sehingga diperlukan analisis teknis dan finansial untuk keberlanjutanusaha produksi keripik kentang. Analisis yang dilakukan meliputi kapasitas kinerja mesin pengiris, rendemen hasil irisan, HPP, BEP, NPV, BCR, IRR dan PBP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kapasitas pengirisan mesin pengiris adalah sebesar 71.160 kg/jam, dengan hasil irisan yang memiliki bentuk sempurna sebesar 58.493%. Pada umur proyek lima tahun, produksi keripik kentang secara mekanis didapatkan HPP sebesar Rp.55,591/kg, BEP sebesar 612 kg pertahun, NPV sebesar Rp.459,639,059/tahun, BCR sebesar 1.41, IRR sebesar 17.17% dan modal akan kembali pada bulan keempat. Sedangkan pada produksi keripik kentang secara manual didapatkan HPP sebesar Rp.59,248/kg, BEP sebesar 507 kg pertahun, NPV sebesar Rp.260,787,383/tahun, BCR sebesar 1.35, I.RR sebesar 23.22% dan modal akan kembali padabulan keempat.]]>
