Abstract

This article reveals the phenomenon of Khatm Al-Qur’ān culture in Pondok Pesantren Sunan Pandanaran (PPSPA) Yogyakarta. The author examines how Al-Qur’an’s Khatm culture is in PPSPA, what are the variations, as well as how the usage of Al-Qur’an’s Khatm by the PPSPA community. This article is to find that Al-Qur’an Khatm is not only a complete activity to read al-Qur’an by the Muslim community.  Khatm Al-Qur’ān in its development is done with various varians and different purposes so it is interesting to be examined more deeply. With the perspective of cultural interpretation, the use and understanding of the Muslim community towards the Qur’an Khatm is varied. This diversity looks at the cultural behavior of its community can be interpreted with its various dimensions: spiritual dimension, individual dimension, and social dimension.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini berupaya menjelaskan makna dan fungsi kepunan dan malet dalam masyarakat Bangka dengan perspektif tafsir kebudayaan. Tulisan ini diawali dengan menelisik makna keduanya menurut pemahaman komunitas masyarakat Bangka. Pada tahap kedua, artikel ini akan memaknai kepunan dan malet tersebut dengan pendekatan tafsir kebudayaan.  Dengan paradigma tafsir kebudayaan, kepunan yang umumnya dipahami oleh komunitas masyarakat Bangka sebagai adat istiadat, mitos, dan syirik, bahkan dianggap sebagai penyebab bala’ sebenarnya dapat ditafsirkan sebagai bentuk solidaritas sosial masyarakat Bangka. Sedangkan malet yang oleh komunitas masyarakat Bangka dipahami sebagai bentuk penolak bala’ dapat dipahami sebagai wujud etika sosial masyarakat Bangka dalam menghargai dan menghormati pemberian orang lain. Keywords: kepunan, malet, tafsir kebudayaan  Abstract: This study is an attempt to unveil the meaning as well the function of kepunan and malet  culture in Bangka society with a Qur’anic exegeses perspective. This research begins by examining the meaning of both (kepunan and mallet) and how they function according to the understanding of the Bangka community. In the second stage, this study will interpret the kepunan and malet with the cultural interpretation approach. With this cultural interpretation paradigm, the kepunan which is generally understood by the Bangka community as customs, myths, and syirk (an act and belief of polytheism), even considered as the cause of disaster is eventually interpreted as a form of social solidarity of the people of Bangka. While malet which is understood by the Bangka community as a form and means of rejection of disaster and bad things, could be understood as a form of social ethics of the Bangka community in respecting the gifts of others.  Keywords: kepunan, malet, cultural interpretations

Abstract

This paper explored the idea of Neal Robinson, Farid Esack and Abdullah Saeed in their books, Discovering The Qur'an: A Contemporary Approach To A Veiled Text, The Qur‟an: A User‟s Guide, and The Qur‟an: An Introduction in order to understand the living Qur‟an in moslem society. After reading these books, the writer found that the Qur‟an gave a strong presence in the lives of many Muslims. Various norms and practices concerning interaction with the Qur‟an have developed over time. Recitation of the Qur‟an was not only as Islamic artistic expression but also as a good reward. Memorizing al-Qur‟an is a demand and a need for many Muslims. In modern era, on one hand, the Qur‟an is always listened by electronic media, on the other hand, the Qur‟an was used as a protection from evil by wearing it as amulet. Ayahs of Qur‟an and certain surahs were believed that they have superiority and were recitated at specific times. Arabic calligraphy was considered one of the most important forms of Islamic artistic expressions. All in all,the Qur‟an was not only a guidance but also an ideology.

Abstract

This paper explored the idea of Neal Robinson in his book, Discovering The Qur'an: A Contemporary Approach To A Veiled Text in order to understand the chronology of surah in the Qur'an. After reading the book, the writer found that there are three strategies to understand the chronology of the surah in the Qur'an; They are investigating the events of occasions of the revelation (asbab an-nuzul), understanding the literature of abrogating and abrogated ayahs (nasikh and mansukh), and categorizing the traditional lists of Meccan and Madinan surahs (Makiyyah and Madaniyyah). By conducting those ways, Robinson proved that asbab an-nuzul should be treated with extreme caution. Then, in some cases, asbab an-nuzul should be limited in order to determine the chronological order of the Qur’an. After that, nasikh and mansukh are used merely for the purpose of determining the chronological order of the Qur’an and did not highlight certain evolution within a period of revelation. Finally, by analyzing Madaniyah and Makiyah surah, it revealed the certainty of the origin and the list of traditional surah in which there were some differences in the determination of the date among the companions. The differences are due to rivalry in the collection of the Qur'an and wrong isnads done by some companions in order to increase their prestige.

Abstract

The results showed that the merchandise inventory accounting information system owned by Minimarket ****** Mart was good. Assessment based on: the inventory recording method is in accordance with the theory using physical recording, the inventory valuation method is in accordance with the theory using the FIFO method, the cash sales procedure applied by ****** Mart can be said to be good and is in accordance with the theory where the cash sales procedure starts from the buyer coming to the store to shop and ends with the cashier who provides a payment receipt proof of the transaction, the purchasing procedure implemented by ****** Mart is still not in accordance with the theory this is because the manager still has concurrent duties as part the buyer of goods and the finance department, the documentation used can be said to be in accordance with the theory where it can be seen that purchases, purchase invoices, inventory stock books.

Abstract

E-court is a court instrument in the form of service to people who want to litigate online. One of the reasons for the birth of the e-court system was based on the need for services in cases that were easer, cheaper, faster and more efficent. This also includes divorce cases where the number of cases always dominates in every court, including the Mentok Religious Court. This research aims to find out how effective the implementation of contested divorce cases is using the e-court system and the factors that influence its implementation at the class II Mentok Religious Court. This type of research is qualitative research with an empirical juridical approach. Data collection techniques were carred out using intervews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique is carred out in three steps, namely data reduction for agences related to the implementation of e-court, data display or presentation of research data, so that conclusions are drawn that answer the problems of this research. The results of this research show that the effectiveness of implementing divorce cases using the E-court system at the Mentok Class II Religious Court has generally been carred out in accordance with existing regulations, however if measured based on Soerjono Soekanto's theory the implementation is still less effective, this is because there are still several factors which have not been fulfilled properly include legal means and facilites, public awareness factors and cultural factors.
