Abstrak : Naskah atau manuskrip kuno telah menjadi perhatian pemerintah pusat dan daerah Republik Indonesia. Banyaknya naskah-naskah kuno yang tidak sempat lagi untuk dilestarikan menjadi alasan kuat akan perhatian tersebut. Perpustakaan yang memang salah satu perannya sebagai tempat pelestarian bahan pustaka dituntut agar dapat mengoptimalkan peran tersebut, khususnya pada koleksi naskah kuno. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya dan kendala yang dihadapi oleh BPAD Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dalam pelestarian naskah kuno. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yakni untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai fakta-fakta tentang bagaimana upaya dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelestarian naskah kuno di BPAD Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Pengumpulan data dilakukanÂ dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data kualitatif dalam mengolah tiap-tiap data yang diperolah dari lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa upaya yang dilakukan oleh BPAD Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dalam melestarikan naskah kuno yaitu laminasi, fumigasi, alih media ke dalam bentuk microfilm serta transliterasi dan terjemahan. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelestarian naskah kuno antara lain kurangnya sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam bidang transliterasi dan terjemahan, anggaran, serta sarana dan prasarana yang tidak memadai untuk proses pengembangan dalam pelestarian naskah kuno.Kata Kunci: Naskah kuno, Pelestarian dan perbaikanÂ Abstract : Efforts have been done by Badan Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Sulawesi Selatan (Regional Library and Archive Institution of South Sulawesi) in order to preserve its all manuscripts tcollections. The current study is aimed to discover and describe those efforts and barriers faced by its institution in preserving and conservating their manuscripts collections. The qualitative approach was used. Some informan were selected to answer structure questions regarding its focus study. The study found that lamination, fumigation, and repackaging manuscripts into digital object were the general tasks done by its librarians. In addition, transliteration and translation were also duties for the librarians. Some barriers challenged by the library were human resources who can understand the content of the manuscripts, fund, and facilities that can be used to support its works. However, the library has been put some valuable efforts to keep all manuscripts well.Key Words: Manusripts, Preservation and conservationÂ

The study aims to identify the degree of author collaboration among scholars in digital literacy articles published from 1997-2013. The 661 digital literacy articles were gathered and indexed by Web of Science. The study found that the degree of author collaboration was 0.62 or 62%, indicating that more than a half of 661 articles were multi-authored papers. In addition, America Continents have proportionally contributed in discussing about digital literacy topic. It was then followed by European countries, Australia/Oceania, Asia, and Africa respectively. The study also figured out that Eszter Hargittai was the most prolific author who has published 8 articles in different journals on this particular topic.

Background of the study: Since established in 1999, the Department of Library Science of Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Alauddin Makassar has been teaching its degree students throughout conventional way of teaching, in which whiteboards and classrooms are still mostly used as learning media till current days. The department challenges with the growing education technology, media such as e-learning.Purpose: This paper is aimed to describe the strategic planning to build and implement an e-learning in the department and to configure e-learning software called Claroline.Method: The data were gathered by discussing with all lecturers and several students as the basic sources to plan and build e-learning.Findings: As the research findings, Panrita 4.0 was determined as its e-learningâ€™s name in order to make the engaged users (lecturers and students) be more familiar with.Conclusion: In addition, the study highlighted challenges faced by most lecturers in implementing such learning media although trainings have been conducted. However, most students were more enjoy learning with Panrita 4.0, even though it was their first experience dealing with such media.

Academic libraries play an important role in supporting teaching and learning programs in their institutions. All services that he has provided must adapt to current and future conditions, including the reading materials it prepares. This paper is aimed to describe the role of UIN Alauddin Makassar Library in supporting "Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka" or "Freedom to Learn" program. This qualitative study gathered the data through observation, literature resources, and in-depth interviews. In the university library, the scope of PTKIN through librarians can contribute to the independent campus program and independent learning which directly provides facilities, collections of library materials (printed and electronic) for the academic community in learning as well as through activities designed by the library to strengthen skills and abilities. literacy for students and lecturers. "Freedom to teach for lecturers and freedom to learn for students is a must".

A school library plays important roles to support education learning-process in school. However, many school libraries in fact lack of aware its roles. The most reason why it happened due to lack of understanding how to organize a school library. The current study investigates one of Islamic High School libraries in Makassar, which is Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Makassar. Based on the pre-observation, it is shown that there was a significant role done by its school librarians. The data is collected throughout interviews with the chief of school, students, and some teachers as well. The result findings depicted that school librarians have optimally played their roles as school librarians. However, it remains some barriers such as less aware from the school authoritative, collections, budget, and facilities.

Z39.50 is an international standard client–server, application layer communications protocol for searching and retrieving information from a database over a TCP/IP computer network. The current study is focused on how the Z39.50 fiture at SLiMS being used by the FAH library staff. The purposes of the study are divided into two which are (1) to know library staf’s perception on the fiture, and (2) to know the difficulties faced by the staf to do copy cataloging from the Library of Congress server. The data was gathered through the library staf experiences and being qualitatively analysed. The study found that the library has been using Z39.50 protocol to copy cataloging English book collections from the Library of Congress server since 2015. Although it makes easier the library to catalog, but some fields need to be edited by the library staf

Penelitian ini fokus kepada tren publikasi jurnal ilmiah online yang ada di Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Alauddin Makassar, khususnya pada jurnal ilmiah dalam bentuk online yang dapat diakses melalui situsnya. Data-data penelitian diperoleh dari situs resmi jurnal online kampus ini, Google Cendekia (Google Scholar), PDII LIPI, dan beberapa dokumen-dokumen pendukung lainnya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 62 jurnal ilmiah online dengan beragam subjek dan terindeks di beragam situs-situs pengindeks nasional maupun internasional. Hingga November 2017, terdapat sebanyak 2343 artikel jurnal yang telah dipublikasi secara online. Selain itu, Lentera Pendidikan, Khizanah al-Hikmah, dan Assets merupakan 3 jurnal yang memiliki sitasi, h-index, dan i10-index paling tinggi di antara jurnal-jurnal lainnya.ABSTRACTThe study is aimed to describe scholarly journals publication in Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar (State Islamic University Alauddin of Makassar), particularly in online scholarly journals which can be accessed throughout its journal website. The data were gathered from its journal website, Google Scholar, PDII LIPI, and few documents from the campus. The study found that there were 62 scholarly journals within the campus which have different subjects and indexed in national or international index sites. Until November 2017, these journals have published as many as 2343 papers online. In addition, Lentera Pendidikan, Khizanah al-Hikmah, and Assets were the three most cited journals compared to others.

Open Access (OA) atau akses terbuka dapat menjadi jalan alternatif dalam menyebarkan informasi ilmiah kepada seluruh dunia tanpa dibatasi ruang dan waktu. Repositori institusi atau instutional repository (IR) telah banyak diaplikasikan pada beberapa perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan pemetaan perkembangan repositori institusi perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang open akses dan perangkat lunak yang digunakannya pada portal OpenDOAR. Penelitian ini terbatas pada repositori institusi perguruan tinggi yang telah terdaftar di OpenDoar saja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan jumlah perkembangan repositori di Indonesia pada OpenDOAR mulai dari tahun 2008 hingga 2018 ini. Sementara perangkat lunak yang digunakan ialah Eprints, Dspace, dan lainnya.ABSTRACT Open Access (OA) can be an alternative way of disseminating scientific information to the globe without limited by space and time. Institutional repositories (IR) have been widely applied to several universities in Indonesia. This paper describes the mapping of the development of open access institutional universities in Indonesia and the software used from the OpenDOAR website. This research is limited to the repository of tertiary institutions that have been registered in OpenDoar only. The results showed that there was an increase in the number of repository developments in Indonesia in OpenDOAR starting from 2008 to 2018. While the software used is Eprints, Dspace, and others.
