Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to researcing improve beginning writing skill through Synthetic Analytic Structural methods of class I students’. This research was conducted at Catholic In'ane Elementary School, Kefamenanu-NTT. Improving the students’ beginning writing skills through synthetic analytic structural methods was measured using tests and observation sheets. The results of the study indicate that the use of synthetic analytic structural methods can improve students' beginning writing skills.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti peningkatan keterampilan menulis permulaan melalui metode struktural analitik sintetik siswa kelas I. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Katolik In’ane, Kefamenanu-NTT. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis permulaan siwa melalui metode struktural analitik sintetik diukur menggunakan tes dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode struktural dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis permulaan siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh strategi pembelajaran REACT terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Citra Bangsa Kupang. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain posttest only with non equivalent control group. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa PGSD semester II yang menempuh mata kuliah konsep dasar matematika SD berjumlah 142 mahasiswa. Peneliti menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk penarikan sampel. Jumlah sampel ditentukan menggunakan rumus perhitungan Taro Yamane sehingga diperoleh 105 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari 52 orang pada kelas kontrol dan 53 orang pada kelas eksperimen. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan studi dokumentasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test, namun sebelum dilakukan uji t, dilakukan uji persyaratan analisis data yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan semua data berdistribusi normal dan homogen, sedangkan hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (0,015 < 0,05) yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari strategi pembelajaran REACT terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Universitas Citra Bangsa Kupang pada mata kuliah konsep dasar matematika SD materi geometri.

Abstract

Abstract. Mathematics learning, chiefly in understanding geometric concepts taught in schools, still becomes elusive for elementary school students. This is as a result of the abstract characteristics of mathematics though the students' characters are at the concrete operational stage. Ethno-mathematics learning using sikidoka games can be an effort to overcome students’ difficulties in Mathematics learning because sikidoka games contain geometric concepts which are very directly related to students' lives. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of ethnomathematics learning using sikidoka games on understanding the concept of geometry for the third-grade students at SDN Unina. The sampling technique in this study is in the form of a saturated sample technique, so that the entire population used as research samples amounts 31 people, while data collection techniques applied in this study are test and documentation. Data analysis employs a paired sample t-test, but before that, a normality and homogeneity test are first carried out on the data that had been collected. Based on the data analysis, it is found that the results of the normality and homogeneity tests show that all data are normally distributed and homogeneous, while the results of the hypothesis test show that the significance value is 0.05 (0.016 <0.05), which means that ethnomathematics learning using sikidoka games has a positive and significant effect on the understanding of the concept of geometry for the third-grade students at SDN Unina. Abstrak. Pembelajaran matematika terkhususnya pada pemahaman konsep geometri yang diajarkan masih sering menjadi kendala bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Hal ini disebabkan karateristik matematika yang bersifat abstrak sedangkan karakter siswa berada pada tahap operasional kongkret. Pembelajaran etnomatematika menggunakan permainan sikidoka dapat menjadi upaya untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut karena dalam permainan sikidoka memuat konsep geometri serta sangat berkaitan langsung dengan kehidupan siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas pembelajaran etnomatematika menggunakan permainan sikidoka terhadap pemahaman konsep geometri siswa kelas III SDN unina. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh, sehingga keseluruhan populasi tersebut dijadikan sampel penelitian yaitu berjumlah 31 orang sedangkan pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t-test namun sebelum uji t dilakukan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas pada data-data yang sudah dikumpulkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan semua data berdistribusi normal dan homogen, sedangkan hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi 0,05 (0,016 < 0,05) yang berarti bahwa pembelajaran etnomatematika menggunakan permainan sikidoka berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep geometri bagi siswa kelas III SDN Unina.

Abstract

The present study investigates the low level of early reading skills among first-grade students at Oetona Public Elementary School, as evidenced by their difficulties in letter and syllable spelling as well as distinguishing letter forms. Additionally, students exhibit a lack of enthusiasm when reading sentences or short stories found in books or written by the teacher on the whiteboard. To address this issue, the utilization of Fable Storybooks with the Quantum Learning Model in early reading instruction for first-grade students at Oetona Public Elementary School was introduced, aiming to make a positive contribution to the development of students' early reading skills. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The findings of the study indicate that the implementation of Fable Storybooks with the Quantum Learning Model has a positive impact on students' early reading abilities. The majority of the students achieved a level of "excellent" in their early reading skills. The results and analysis demonstrate that the use of Fable Storybooks with the Quantum Learning Model contributes significantly to the improvement of students' early reading outcomes. Students displayed high enthusiasm and imagination during the learning process and demonstrated notable progress in their reading abilities

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of using local wisdom-based learning media "Eclipse Ammu Pe" on students' interest and learning outcomes in science subjects at the primary school level. The research method used was a pretest-posttest control group experimental design involving students of class V of SDN Fatke. Learning outcome data were measured using pretest and posttest written tests. In addition, students' interest in learning was also assessed through observation and questionnaire. The results of data analysis showed that the experimental group using local wisdom-based learning media experienced a significant increase in learning outcomes and also showed a higher increase in learning interest compared to the control group. Statistical tests showed a low significance value (0.000) for the effect of learning media on students' learning outcomes and interest in learning. These results indicate that the use of local wisdom-based learning media "Eclipse Ammu Pe" has a positive impact on students' interest in science and learning outcomes. The implications include the potential for developing more contextualized and interesting learning strategies as well as the application of local wisdom-based learning media in science education. However, this study has limitations in terms of generalizability and consideration of other factors that may influence students' interest and learning outcomes. Further research is needed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the study.
