Abstract

Penggunaan metode yang sering digunakan oleh guru adalah metode konvensional dimana guru hanya berceramah terus/menerus yang keterlibatan siswa sangat kurang, sehingga guru lebih Nampak aktif dan siswa bersifat pasif dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD sebagai alternatife guna menunjang keaktifan siswa dalam belajar. Rancangan Penelitian dilakukan yaitu melalui empat tahap yaitu (1) Perencanaan, (2) Pelaksanaan Tindakan, (3) Observasi, (4) Refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa Kelas IV SDN No. 1 Lende Kecamatan Sirenja pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014 pada semester II (Dua). Hasil belajar pada Mata Pelajaran IPA yang diperoleh siswa dari pemberian tes LKS dan observasi pada semester II (dua) Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 ini meningkat menjadi 68,7. Sedangkan pada tahun sebelumnya nilai rata-rata siswa pada tahu ajaran 2012/2013 semester I dan II yaitu 61,30,  Dan semester I pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014 nilai siswa menurun hingga 61,00. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut, maka disimpulkan bahwa pada semester II 2013/2014 hasil belajar IPA melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe STAD pada siswa Kelas IV (empat) SDN No. 1 Lende Kecamatan Sirenja meningkat, yang dapat dilihat pada nilai ketuntasan belajar klasikal yaitu 68,7 di mana KBK adalah 65,00 lebih dari nilai yang ditentukan dan hasil penilaian ini dapat juga dilihat nilai daya serap individu siswa yaitu : 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, dan 80%. Abstract

Teaching and learning is a process involving interaction with active communication between students and teacher in educational activities. Therefore we need a method of learning that is focused to the students. This research uses learning Everyone is Teacher here method (ETH). The aim of this research was to determine the influence of the use of ETH methods on chemical content on learning outcomes and communication skills at tenth grade student of SMAN 1 Marawola generation 2013/2014, the sample of research was class XF as a class experiment with the application of learning ETH method (n = 20) and class XB as a control class without the use of learning ETH method (n = 21). Data were collected by observation, initial test, and final test. The data were analyzed by descriptively and right side t-test. The results of the analyzed of the data shows the average score in the experimental class = 83.95 and for control class = 70.36, both classes distributed were normally and have the variance (F test) are homogeneous. Testing hypotheses t test obtained tcount = 5.57 > ttabel = 1.68 with a significance level (α) = 0.05. In this case H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected, because of tcount were in H0 rejection region. The results suggest the application of learning ETH method has posirive side on learning outcomes and student communication skills in chemical material.

Abstract

Existing studies on classroom questioning tend to focus on exploring effective teacher’s questioning in classroom learning and finding the relationship between questioning behavior and students outcomes, however, there has been scarce research on teacher questioning as a formative assessment strategy. It investigated how teachers deployed questions to stimulate student thinking, uncover students’ current level of learning, and allow responses to inform pedagogic decisions. The research method was classroom observations. This article highlights the practice of one experienced teacher who conducted quality questioning to gauge and facilitate learning. It also provides practical insights into how questioning can be developed as a formative assessment method and recommends equipping teachers with further knowledge and skills to carry out effective questioning.

Abstract

Evidence is mounting that teacher question can assist EFL students in various purposes in teaching learning process. However, teacher’s lack of knowledge about questioning taxonomy could become a failure in leading students’ learning. This study investigates questioning strategies, the taxonomy of questions-type, and their application by teacher in advanced prose class, to scaffold students’ learning. Classroom observations, field notes and videotape recording, were employed to collect the data. Findings indicate that among four types of questioning strategies, redirecting was the most frequently used to initiate students’ responses and to probe more into students’ understanding. Other findings show that low-cognitive questions were common. Of those, knowledge-based questions were the most frequently used to confirm students’ understanding of the materials they learnt, but, the higher-level questions were rarely used. It was also found that teacher employed questioning strategies ineffectively to manage the class; insufficient time responded to a complex level of questions; the number of questions created confusion. Some changes to create effective classroom questioning and a stronger connection between the level of question and the questioning strategies are discussed.

Abstract

Recently curriculum in elementary school has posed the English subject as an extracurricular subject. However, the meeting is done once in a week during effective learning hours. It challenges the English teacher to formulate English learning activities. This study is aimed to describe the teaching-learning activities, including the English teacher’s strategy, material, and media. An English teacher and 29 students of 4A were chosen as the subjects. Mix methods; observation, interviews, and questionnaires were chosen to collect data. The results of observation indicate that the English teacher has the ability in explaining, managing, communicating and evaluating the students. On the contrary, negative responses towards the media used, the attitude, and the benefit of the media were also shown by students’ responses. Mainly, they thought that some of what they get did not match with their expectations. Some changes to create effective English teacher strategy and students’ participation are discussed.

Abstract

The Independent Learning and Independent Campus (MBKM) curriculum for vocational education provided learning experiences for students. However, the reading material conducted had not reached the curriculum target. Thus, this study aimed to develop critical reading material and worksheets based on the MBKM curriculum. The development procedure was designed in three stages: defining, designing, and developing for 3-D aids. The research resources employed were validation sheets for critical reading aids and semi-observation sheets to provide student activity during PjBL field trial. The results of this study were project-based learning (PjBL) used to construct English language learning aids for the syllabus and coursework units, including worksheets for critical reading. Hence, this learning aid could slightly enhance students' reading competence, which could lead them to have soft and hard skills as well as meet the MBKM curriculum target.

Abstract

This research discusses the policy of refocusing regional budgets in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in the Majalengka Regional Government. This issue is important to discuss because it is related to the Covid-19 Pandemic which must be addressed immediately, according to Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2020 regarding Budget Refocusing Policies, Budget Reallocations, and Procurement of Goods and Services to Accelerate the Handling of COVID-19. The purpose of writing this article is to explain how the Regional Budget Refocusing policy is related and what impact this policy has. This study used a qualitative method with literature study, namely by collecting information relevant to the problem being studied, such as notes, literature, as well as various reports related to the problem, and verifying to make a conclusion. The results of this study found that on the one hand, the implementation of budget refocusing was considered appropriate in accelerating the handling of COVID-19, on the other hand, the budget refocusing policy was not effective given that there were still many local governments that were constrained and ineffective in refocusing the regional budget.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan melalui kerja sama tim pengabdian masyarakat bersama mitra melalui proses pendampingan penulisan Karya Ilmiah kepada guru di lingkungan lembaga mitra(MTsN) Kota Madiun berlangsung secara effektif dan effisien. Hasil Pretes dan post-Test yang dilakukan pada saat pendampingan, dapat diketahui bahwa proses kegiatan pendampingan dapat berjalan lancar dan sukses. Pemahaman peserta tentang kosep Karya Ilmiah penulisan artikel, serta penelusuran artikel pada jurnal bereputasi Nasional mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan. Namun demikian masih memerlukan pendampingan penuh dalam dalam pelaksanaan penulisan artikel, mengingat latar belakang guru MTsN Kota Madiun yang belum pernah melakukan penelitian bahkan penulisan artikel ilmiah.

Abstract

Kematian orangtua akibat COVID-19 dapat menimbulkan rasa kehilangan yang mendalam sehingga menyebabkan remaja yang ditinggalkan harus melalui proses grief hingga mampu mencapai penerimaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami gambaran grief dan proses grief serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi grief pada remaja perempuan pasca kematian orangtua akibat COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan teknik analisis theory driven. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 3 (tiga) remaja perempuan berusia 18-20 tahun dan telah kehilangan orangtua akibat COVID-19 yang terjadi 1-2 tahun yang lalu. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gambaran grief responden terdiri atas berbagai gejala grief yang menyangkut aspek fisik, sosial, spiritual dan psikologis. Proses grief melalui 5 tahap yaitu denial, anger, bargaining, depression dan acceptance, tetapi proses yang dialami responden tidak terjadi secara berurutan dan bersifat dinamis menuju penerimaan. Hal tersebut terjadi karena terdapat faktor pendukung antara lain kemampuan menguatkan diri, memiliki cita-cita dan harapan yang kuat, dukungan dari keluarga dan teman serta faktor penghambat antara lain hubungan emosional dengan orangtua yang meninggal, grief yang tidak terantisipasi, lapisan kehilangan, tidak menyaksikan orangtua meninggal hingga dimakamkan, isolasi mandiri setelah kehilangan dan stigma sosial yang negatif. Implikasi penelitian ini yaitu menambah khazanah kajian ilmu psikologi khususnya psikologi klinis, psikologi perkembangan dan secara lebih spesifik mengenai grief pada remaja pasca kematian orangtua akibat COVID-19.
