Abstract

Fly ash and bottom ash (FABA) is one of the residues produced from the coal burning process which is included in hazardous and toxic waste. However, the content of FABA is one reason for the utilization of the waste has been used. The purpose of this study was to determine the utilization of fly ash and bottom ash in the subbase on the carrying capacity of the road and with the appropriate proportions to optimize profit utilization. This research is based on laboratory testing by testing the CBR of immersion by the 2018 Bina Marga standard. The subbase layer mixture was made in four variations. Variation I was without fly ash and bottom ash. In variations II and III fly ash and bottom ash were used as substitutes, and in variation IV fly ash and bottom ash were used as additives. Variation I with 0% fly ash and bottom ash content resulted in a CBR value of 64%. Variation II and variation III with 22% and 25% fly ash and bottom ash content resulted in CBR values of 93% and 84%. Variation IV with 25% fly ash and bottom ash content results in a CBR value of 73% so that all CBR values are fulfilled on the 2018 Bina Marga standard and fly ash and bottom ash are suitable for use in the mixture of road pavement layers. Abstract

Based on the Work Plan and Budget Plan of Public Works Office, the Riau Province service in 2019, the provincial road handling program in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province is only based on the level of damage to road conditions and the level of road stability. The Ministry of Public Work has a definition of the purpose of road handling which is 100% stable roads. The level of road stability is determined by two criteria, the first one is steady in construction and the second is steady in traffic services. The purpose of this study is to obtain a priority sequence for handling provincial roads in the Tampan District of Pekanbaru appropriately by involving relevant parties. This study used the AHP method with 5 (five) criteria that were used to determine the priority of road handling, that is road conditions, traffic volume, accessibility, mobility and regional development. Based on AHP analysis, the importance level of each criterion is obtained to determine the priority of road handling. The results showed that the criteria for road conditions gains the highest weight 39.57% then level of accessibility 18.33%, then the criteria for regional development 18.25%, the criteria of traffic volume 12.51% and mobility criteria 11.35%. This study concludes that the most prioritized road sections in handling provincial roads in the Tampan District of Pekanbaru City in planning for 2020 is S.M Amin Road and Tuanku Tambusai Road and this study proves that the results of the author's analysis are different from the provincial roads planned by the government which to be handled in 2020, S.M Amin Road and Soekarno-Hatta Road. Abstract

The filler in a concrete asphalt mixture that is commonly used is Portland cement which is relatively expensive. It is expected that the filler is replaced with cheaper materials. Flying ash is a relatively cheaper material because fly ash is waste material. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of fly ash fillers in ACWC asphalt mixtures. This study used the percentage of optimum asphalt content (KAO), namely 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5% and 7%. The proportion of fly ash used is 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and 8%. The specifications used follow the 2018 Bina Marga Standard using the Marshall method. The results of this study indicate that the AC-WC mixture using fly ash filler has a better stability value than not using fly ash filler. The recommended level of fly ash for AC-WC mixtures according to specifications is 6% because it has better values of KAO 6,58% stability, flow, VIM, VMA, VFA, and MQ and meets the 2018 Bina Marga standards. Abstract

The type of pavement commonly used in Indonesia is flexible pavement that uses asphalt as its binding material. It is very important to maintain the characteristic of asphalt that functions as the aggregate adhesive in a mixture of asphalt concrete (laston). One way of maintaining or improving the characteristics of the laston is by using graphene as an additive. This study was aimed to examine and analyze the effect of adding graphene as an additive and to find out the most effective level of graphene addition in the asphalt mixture to the Marshall characteristics of the AC–BC laston mixture. This study combined the addition of graphene as an additive of 3.5%, 4%, and 4.5% of the weight of asphalt. The test results showed that the stability value of Marshall characteristics at optimum bitumen content conditions is increased. The highest stability value is found in the addition of 4.5% of graphene which is 1500 kg. The most effective level of graphene addition in the asphalt mixture against Marshall characteristics is by adding 4.5% graphene. The addition of 4.5% of graphene has the highest stability value with a difference of 200 kg or 14.81%, while the value of flow is 4,5 mm, VIM is 3.7%, VFA is 76%, VMA is 14,8%, and MQ is 350 kg/mm, all these values fulfill Bina Marga specifications 2010 revision 3, except the flow values.Keywords: Graphene, Marshall characteristics, AC–BC, Laston

Abstract

One most important service aspect of Trans Metro Pekanbaru is a bus stop. Trans Metro Pekanbaru Bus Stop is a place where passenges get on and off from the Bus as well as a place to transit from one to another place orderly, smoothly, safely, and comfortable. Thecondition of bus stop must suit the well-construct building that it can be comfort and be a shelter from the sun and the rain. The condition of facility at coridor 3 is still deficient, henceit needs to observe the suitability of facility according to Standard Directorate General of Land Transportation 2012 and Wahana Tata Nugraha 2010. The result of judgement for busstop condition at corridor 3 showed it was included into deficient category since the weight of all judgement were 40%. Percentage result of bus stop facility according to weight of judgement was in efficient category of 3,77% for 2 bus stops, sufficient category of 35.19%for 19 bus stops, deficient cateogry of 46.30% for 25 bus stops and less deficient category of 13.21% for 7 bus stops. TMP bus stop at coridor 3 is type 1 witb average weight of judgement was 26.71% and was included into deficient category, type 2 with 11% weight of judgement and was less deficient, and type 3 with 30% weight of judgement and wasdeficient.Keywords: Bus stop, Condition, TMP (Trans Metro Pekanbaru), Corridor, WTN (Wahana Tata Nugraha)

Abstract

Many elementary school of the facilities located on the main road so it would be very dangerous for the students when crossing the road. Previous research on the effectiveness of ZoSS conducted by Sri Wahyuni with the results showed that ZoSS not work so effectively with still a lot of behaviors that does not comply with regulations. This research was conducted with the lecture method and distributes some leaflets to determine the effect of socialization to the effectiveness of complex ZoSS at SDN 68 and SDN 75 Balam Street and at SDN 77 and SDN 143 complex Taskurun Street. The result showed that there were some signs missing and faded sign. The Level of service Balam street included for category B and Taskurun street included in category C. The vehicles instantaneous speed (spot speed) in Balam street for motorcycle was 31.38 km/h and light vehicles was 21.96 km/h and at ZoSS in Taskurun street for motorcycle was 25.19 km/h and light vehicles of the 20.16 km/h, but it still exceeded the permitted maximum of speed limit at location ZoSS about 20 km/h. The result of pedestrians behavior are categorized as "already saved" by the student with positive behavior at SDN 68 and SDN 75 by 79%, and SDN 77 and SDN 143 by 69%. For students introducter also categorized as "already saved" by the student with positive behavior at SDN 68 and SDN 75 by 95%, and SDN 77 and SDN 143 by 93%.Keywords: socialization, ZoSS, effectiveness

Abstract

One type of road pavement layers that susceptible to damage is Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course (AC-WC). AC-WC is the top layer of the road pavement structure. One effort that can be carried out to improve the quality of asphalt pavement is to modify the asphalt mixture materials by using additive. Graphene is one of the materials that can be used as asphalt additive. Several previous studies have used this material in various reinforcement structures. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of using asphalt that has been mixed with graphene as the additive in the AC-WC mixture based on the value of Marshall characteristics. Variations made in this study were 0% (without mixture) as a comparison, 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5% of asphalt weight. This research was carried out by designing the AC-WC mixture based on the gradation specifications of combined aggregate for each variation. The specimens of Marshall test were made for each variation. Graphene was made by using the Electrochemical and Mechanical Liquid Exfoliation (EMLE) method. The results showed that the use of graphene as the additive in the AC-WC mixture affected the value of Marshall characteristics. The best value that meets the general specifications of Bina Marga 2010 revision 3 was obtained in the addition of 1.5% graphene, with stability value 1485 kg or an increase of 28.57%, flow value 4.25 mm, VIM value 6%, VMA value 18.3%, VFA value 65%, and MQ value 345 kg/mm.Keywords: Graphene, Additives, AC-WC, General Specifications of Bina Marga 2010 Revision 3, Marshall

Abstract

The terminal is a road transportation infrastructure that takes the form of a transportation node for the purpose of raising passengers, loading / unloading goods, arranging the arrival and departure of public transport and the place to start and end trips. Simpang Aur Terminal is a type A terminal serving inter-city transportation in the province (AKDP), between inter-provincial cities (AKAP) in the City of Bukittinggi. This condition makes facilities at terminals important, but there are still many lack of terminal facilities at Simpang Aur that have not met Terminal service standards based on PM No. 40 of 2015. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate Simpang Aur terminal service facility standards to improve terminal services good in accordance with established standards, safe and comfortable for users. The method used in this study is the method of direct observation, literature, and interviews. The results of the Simpang Aur terminal facility service standard analysis based on the availability of available infrastructure, in terms of reliabilit/regularity, obtained a suitability value of 60%, comfort services obtained 36.4% conformity value, and convenience /affordability services that is 80%. The loading factor for AKDP public transportation is 44.58%, and for AKAP is 46.72%. Waiting time / parking duration for AKDP 44 minutes, for AKAP 81 minutes. The results of the analysis of the physical condition based on the Dirjen Wahana Tata Nugraha Decree in 2010 showed that the physical condition of Simpang Aur Terminal was 59% that met the requirements, with the assessment weight in the range ≤60% included in the medium category, then for Terminal Aur facilities needed additional facility as a type A terminal for convenience for terminal infrastructure users.Keywords: Simpang Aur Terminal, Type A Terminal, Terminal Facilities, Physical Conditions, Service Standards.

Abstract

The use of fillers is useful for filling empty voids in the asphalt mixture for highway pavements so that the use of fillers greatly affects the strength of its stability. Materials that can be used as fillers are those that have pozzolanic content and contain high levels of silica. One of the materials that has this content is palm bunch ash. The water content of peat has a high acidity, so it can damage a pavement when there is inundation for a long time. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of peat water on the characteristics of marshall in AC-BC mixture which uses oil palm bunch ash as a filler. This study used a percentage of filler variations in the form of 0%, 2%, 4% and 6% which were immersed for 0.5 hours, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours and 24 hours using peat water. This study follows the Standard Specification of Bina Marga 2018. In this study, the KAO value obtained the highest stability value and 4% filler variation at 0.5 hour immersion time of 906.53 kg and the lowest stability value of 0% filler variation at 24 hours immersion time of 505.33 kg. then for the IKS value that meets the standard requirements of the Standard Specification of Bina Marga 2018 only at 3 hours of immersion time for all percentages of filler variations where the maximum requirement for reduction in the stability value is 90% from the original stability value. Abstract

The improvement of  passenger count in Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport makes the activity in the airport is rising up, so an appropriate parking facility is required and compatible with parking demand. In analyzing of parking demand in Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport, it necessary to know the existing parking characteristic. From the result of  parking characteristic analysis that is parking accumulation, the parking demand can be determined. By using maximum parking accumulation method, obtained the maximum parking accumulation 277 cars at 12.4613.00 Wib and 267 motorcycles at 14.31-14.45Wib on first day of survey, on second day 416 cars at 17.16-17.30Wib and 289 motorcycles at 14.31-14.45 Wib and on third day 369 cars at 17.0117.15 Wib and 291 motorcycles at 14.31-14.45 Wib. Parking duration in this airport is dominated by 0-30 minutes of duration for car and motorcycle in whole survey day. This parking duration classified to short-term parking because under 2 hours of parking duration,  while parking indeks on the first day of survey 87,11% for car and 142,87% for motorcycle, on the second day 130,82% for car and 154,55% for motorcycle and on third day 116,40% for car and 155,61% for motorcycle. The maximum of parking demand identified 416 parking lot for car  and 291 parking lot for motorcycle in  2013. In addition, interview survey to the passengers held with parking survey in the same time to know how the characteristics of passenger trip in Sultan Syarif Kasim II international airport.
