Abstract

   This study generally aims to determine student’s reading comprehension, vocabulary mastery of the students, and the ability to write arguments class XI High School in Depok, particularly SMA Tugu Ibu 1 Depok, while specifically to get a picture of whether there is influence between reading comprehension student’s ability to write arguments, obtain information whether there is influence between students' vocabulary mastery of the ability to write arguments, get a picture there is influence reading comprehension and vocabulary skills of students to write arguments.This study is using a survey method with correlation technique based on a simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The population in this study amounted to 248 high school students of class XI Tugu Ibu 1 Depok Academic Year 2013/2014, which used a sample of 150 students. Data collection techniques using a multiple-choice test to determine the level of reading comprehension, vocabulary level, and essay tests to measure student’s ability to write arguments. Instrument trials conducted to 43 respondents. The validity test is using Point Biserial correlation technique, while the reliability test using the formula KR-20 (Kuder Richardson). Testing requirements analysis include normality test, heteroskedastisiti, multikolineariti test, and test the regression equation fits tuna.            Based on the research results can be obtained the following conclusions : (1) ability to significantly influence reading comprehension of written argumentation skills , (2) There is no significant influence of the vocabulary mastery of argumentation writing skills , (3) Variable reading comprehension ability and vocabulary control variables together significantly influential arguments against writing skills as much as 10 percent (R Square = 0.100). It is composed of a variable contribution of reading ability and understanding as much as 5 percent of the control variables vocabulary as much as 5 percent . When calculated as the relative contribution shows that it appears proficiency in reading comprehension and vocabulary accounted for 50 percent . Based thitung value (=6.721, = 2.847, and = -2.585) showed that mass sequentially from the regression coefficient B (multiple regression equation = 74.917 + 0.255 X1 (reading comprehension ability) - 0.337 X2 (mastery vocabulary)) , as well as floor (= 0.000,= 0.005, and = 0.011)  showed the first is the ability to read comprehension, secondly vocabulary mastery.Keywords: Learning Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary Mastery, Argumentation Writing Skill

Abstract

Interferensi merupakan salah satu penyimpangan dari norma-norma bahasa. Interferensi adalah kekeliruan yang disebabkan oleh adanya kecenderungan membiasakan pengucapan (ujaran) suatu bahasa terhadap bahasa lain mencakup pengucapan satuan bunyi, tata bahasa, dan kosakata. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang interferensi pada lirik lagu “Demam Unyu-Unyu” yang dinyanyikan oleh Grup Vokal Coboy Junior dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kekeliruan atau kesalahan penggunaan kosakata. Dari analisis data yang telah dilakukan, penulis menemukan beberapa interferensi pada lirik lagu “Demam Unyu-unyu”, yaitu interferensi dalam bidang fonologi berupa kata “gitu”, morfologi berupa kata “ketemu” dan “pacaran”, dan kosakata/leksikon berupa kata “unyu-unyu”.Kata kunci: interferensi, lirik lagu, Coboy Junior

Abstract

This form of community service is the implementation of the Literacy Village Program in the RT 03 RW 16 area, Mekarjaya Village, Sukmajaya District, Depok by providing educational reading books for elementary school-age children that have educational value. The activities carried out for the children there are in the form of reading books that have educational value. There are several stages that will be carried out by the Abdimas team. The first stage, namely finding out and identifying the problems felt by partners and subjects of community service, namely elementary school-age children. You do this by asking Mitra Abdimas as the Head of the RT there and making observations in the RT 03 area to see the activities of the children there. The second stage is to provide a place to organize the Literacy Village Program for the children there. Apart from that, the community service team provided reading books as well as prepared the necessary equipment to be used for the children's activities there. The method used in this community service is to use the literacy learning method. The literacy learning method is a Select-Know-Read-Invented-Discussion (PiKeBaDiCi) method, namely 1) choosing and recognizing books; 2) reading books; 3) discuss the theme; and 4) creating work. The existence of this community service activity can make children in the RT 03 area more enthusiastic about learning and reading with their friends. The friendship between them became even closer and the boredom and boredom that they had experienced all this time disappeared and was replaced by a feeling of pleasure during the reading activity. The feeling of pleasure from participating in community service activities has an impact on children's enthusiasm for learning and reading together as well as increasing their literacy skills. The results achieved were: 1) the availability of knowledge and information services in the non-formal education pathway in the form of books and non-books, 2) school-age children increase their knowledge, skills and develop positive attitudes, so that they have better literacy skills, 3) the availability of information services to children related to 2 of the 6 components of literacy, namely literacy and numeracy.
