Abstract

During the past time the utilization of palm oil tree only limited to producing fruit to produce oil with all their derivatives, as well as the utilization of  husk and midrib. Stem, as the biggest mass palm oil tree has not been used commercially due to its lack of quality. One effort in improving quality of palm oil wood is compregnation. Compregnation interpreted as an effort of putting the chemicals into wood structure using prresure. Chemicals that can penetrate into wood structure in this case is melamine formaldehyde resin. The result of research showed that compregnation palm oil wood by melamine formaldehyde increased the specific of gravity of wood from 0,32  before compregnation to 0,48, 0,58 and 0,65 for 50%, 75% and 100% concentrate. Moisture content decreased from 12,05% before compregnation to 10,67 at 100% concentrate. MOR increased  from 64,58 kg/cm2 before compregnation to 131,54 kg/cm2, 188,94 kg/cm2 and 361,14 kg/cm2 each for 50%, 75% and 100% concentrate. Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country that has various types of wood. However, the supply of wood time to time is decreasing, while in construction the demand for wood is increasing. This increase has resulted in massive exploitation of the forest, so that the availability of large diameter timber from natural forests is increasingly limited. The use of wood that has a shorter cutting age (10-15 years) and has a small diameter is not efficient as a structural or construction component. The technology used is a structural form that does not come from whole wood but rather a laminated component that is made through a bonding process. This study aims to determine the shear strength of solid testing, solid coating testing, lamination testing, and coating lamination testing. The wood used in this study is acacia crassicarpa wood and the adhesive used is epoxy adhesive. The adhesive weight used was 50 MDGL (Multilayer Double Glue Line). From the test for testing the solid shear strength is 4,01 MPa, the shear strength of the laminate is 2,10 MPa, the shear strength of the solid coating is 3,37 MPa, the shear strength of the coating laminate is 2,83 MPa.Key words: Laminate beam, acacia crassicarpa wood, shear strength, epoxy adhesi.

Abstract

The main objective of community service is the application of the innovation of composite wood Material technology by utilizing wood species material with a fast growing species at Teluk Nilap Village, Kubu Babussalam District, Rokan Hilir Regency of Riau Province expected to provide solutions to the scarcity of wood materials with certain specifications for the rejuvenation of the community fishing vessel and the sustainability of the shipbuilding industry in the coastal region of Riau province. The method of approach used in this implementation is to combine the composite wood technology with the local wisdom culture of wood-based vessel material. The partnership of manufacturing full scale physical model timber vessel 1 GT and 3 GT fishermen in the community shipyard industry owned by H. Ali in Teluk Nilap village, Kubu Babussalam, Rokan Hilir District. The main result of devotion to society proved that the application of composite wood material technology using wood type fast growing for the construction of public fishing vessel size 1 GT and 3 GT (innovation) and has been applied to the Timber Shipyard Industry. The synergy of innovation and partnership encourages the improvement of the economy of fishermen communities in the coastal region of Riau province with the support of the independent shipyard industry.

Abstract

AbstrakLatar Belakang : Pandemic corona virus disease bukan hanya berdampak pada dunia kesehatan dan  ekonomi, tetapi juga dirasakan oleh dunia pendidikan. Terhitung Maret 2020 hingga sekarang, kegiatan pembelajaran tatap muka di sekolah resmi dihentikan sementara, diganti dengan School from Home (SFH). Madrasah  Tsanawiyah/sederajat  paling  banyak  mengikuti metode belajar di rumah. Ada 28.587.688 murid yang belajar jarak jaruh. Penutupan dan pembelajaran yang di alokasikan ke rumah menimbulkan dampak terhadap kecerdasan emosional peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui deskripsi kecerdasan emosional peserta didik selama pembelajaran dirumah (School From Home). Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitik, dengan sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 285 orang yang diambil menggunakan accidental sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner kecerdasan emosional disadur dari Siregar (2018) yakni berisi 30 item pernyataan dengan 24 pernyataan positif dan 6 pernyataan negatif menggunakan skala likert. Kuesioner terdiri atas komponen kecerdasan emosional yang meliputi kesadaran diri, pengaturan diri, motivasi, empati dan keterampilan sosial. Hasil : Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian responden (58,25%) memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang rendah, dengan nilai mean terendah terdapat pada komponen Motivasi. Kesimpulan: Hasil pengkategorisasian skor  kecerdasan  emosional secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa di MTsN 2 Bukittinggi didominasi  oleh  peserta didik  dengan kecerdasan  emosional  dengan kategori rendah, dimana pada kategori motivasi peserta didik itu sendiri. Hal ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi pembelajaran dirumah, sehingga diharapkan pihak sekolah mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik walaupun belajar dari rumah masih tetap dilakukan pada kondisi pandemi ini.Kata kunci      : kecerdasan emosional, peserta didik, school from home

Abstract

Man is a social species in which he needs the help of others, so that interaction with others to form groups/communities to meet their needs is inevitable. Communication is unavoidable to keep the relationships within a group or binding relationships between individuals in a group or groups of individuals. The author will examine how Islam arranges group communication to its believer. In this case the authors present some thematic Hadith about the urgency of the communication group.

Abstract

In this paper, to strengthen the connection between wood joints is conducted by the use of combination of bolt and epoxy adhesives. There where three variations of connection observed in this study e.g; U1, U2, U3. U1 was using a bolt connecting device. U2 was using a bolt connectors which is reinforced with epoxy adhesive on the bolt hole. U3 was using a bolt connectors which is reinforced with 40 MDGL epoxy adhesives in the joint slice plane. The result of this study indicates that the bolt connection yielding mode is theoretically as same as the yielding mode that occurs in the result of laboratory testing, named mode IIIs. The lateral resistance of bolt joints form laboratory tests result is 108% greater compared to the lateral resistance of bolt joints theoretically. The addition of epoxy adhesive to the bolt hole does not provide the real reinforcement of the joint extension of Ulin Woods with bolt connecting tools. The addition of epoxy adhesives with the amount of 40 MDGL in the joint slice plane, provides 16.6% reinforcement on the joint extension of Ulin Woods with bolt joint tools.Keywords: reinforcement joints, bolt joints, epoxy adhesive joints, lateral resistance
