Abstract

In general a boat building must be adjusted with cost estimation, to creates efficient and effective building. Cost estimation is an importance activity on boat building because it will be a starting point to make offering finance system and scheduling implementation. Nowaday, the traditional shipyard at Bagansiapi-api still using building cost calculation manually, where as it is need long process and more complex. This research aim is to create RAB aplication for traditional shipyard’s boat building at Bagan Siapi-api, where it is constructed by using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) or Macro Excel. Data of costs of material as well as wedge are collected and programmed to be a syntax to create user interface for the ship with principal dimensions as LOA = 14 m, B = 3,2 m, d = 1,10 m. Building cost consist of hull and bridge, machinery and equipment, electrical, navigation equipment, additional equipment, shipyard services, purse seine fishing gear, sea trial that each price are estimated based on interview to ship owner and foreman. The result of RAB is Rp605.699.000,- . This aplication also can simplify calculation process for every users.Keywords: Bagan Siapi-api, Cost Estimation, Macro Excel, Purse Seine, Shipyard

Abstract

Accuration for preparing budget to estimate contruction costs greatly affects thesuccess of its funding. In addition, this will effect the successfull of its building. Inboatbuilding project, this will monitor the initial funding ability. Therefore,preparation of Cost –Budget Plan (RAB) can be as a solution to describe total cost inboatbuilding as material cost, cost of manpower, etc. The aim of this research is togenerate application of RAB for Bagansiapi-api shipyard by using Macros Excel. It isdeveloped by using prototype methods with visual basic for application (VBA).Results shown that the resulting aplication can help in processing the boatbuildingcost .

Abstract

A good designer of fishing vessels must be able to estimate ship resistances which treat-ment on ship during fishing operations. Such resistances information will be used as themilestones in the main and the auxiliary engine matching in which the chosen engine must besuitable to the needs of thrust at the certain velocity. The magnitude of ship resistance can bedetermined by some methods e.g. towing tank methods, using ship resistance graph of seriesship models on various velocities, using approaching formula from statistic (with regression)and the last by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). CFD is the most economic inship resistance study with result almost approaching the manual test. The ship was gillnetter 5in gross tonnage. Its model was investigated by using numerical simulation of CFD. The dataof resistance are processed with ANSYS CFX version 14. The result shows the vesselresistance was 6,43 kN and engine power was 29,76 kW at maximum speed (9 knots). Itimplys the similiar conclusion by using manual test and approaching formula.

Abstract

The power requirement of ship must comply its form and principle dimension to make efficient fishing operational cost. To estimate power requirement of a ship conducted by vary approach such as Guldhamer Methods. Manual calculation by using this methods somewhat sophisticated and not practical since can only be done by certain people. Thus, to make it more simple, all the patterns are modified to be Matlab Graphical User Interface. The result shows that scoop netter power is 25,0754 HP calculated by using Matlab Application, meanwhile in the real condition the magnitude of fisher fishing vessel is 26 HP. There was discrepancy approximately about 4% where it was caused by measurement calculation in the field. Thus, this application can be used as a reference in calculation power requirement of a fishing vessel.

Abstract

                                           ABSTRACTLampulo Oceanic Fishing Port is located in the city of Banda Aceh with fishing grounds in the Malacca Strait and the Indian Ocean, included in the Fisheries Management Area of the Republik of Indonesia 571 and 572. As one of the government agencies that plays an important role in supporting the development of capture fisheries in the city of Banda Aceh, then the port operational performance needs to be interpreted so that it can provide alternative solution to improve operational performance in the future so that it can provide more optimal services for the wearer. The problems at the Lampulo Oceanic Fishing Port so faris the low level of operation and service of the fishing port caused by internal and external factors at the fishing port.Therefore, this study was conducted to find out how much the operational performance level of the Lampulo Oceanic Fishing Port by looking at operational activities and fishermen satisfaction with port services as a basis for solving existing problems.The assessment of operational performance of the Lampulo Oceanic Fishing Port in analyzed using the Scorring Method which will then be analyzed descriptively.Based on the results of the analysis conducted showed that the operational performance of the Lampulo Oceanic Fishing Port is included in the quite good category with a value of 2,71 included in the interval (2,6-<3,4).Keyword: Fishing Port, Scorring Method, Operational Performance

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in Countryside of Haranggaol, District of Sondi Raya, Sub-Province of Simalungun, Province of North Sumatera. It was April 2013 until September 2013. The objective of the research is to obtain the prinipal dimension of the new sport fishing in territorial water of Toba Lake. The methods to obtain such principal dimention is comparison ship methods by finding it about 6% above and below measure of owner requitment. The numbet of the comparison ship is 11. After analyzing by technique analyzes, it’s results for optmize vessel as LPP 7,5 m; B 3 m; H 1,2 m; T 1 m and total passenger 6-10 teps of especial size measure of optimasi is length 7,5m, wide 3m, high 1,2m, loaded 1m and amount of passenger counted 6 people. Desain general arrangement is provided in this research.Keyword: Sport of Fishing, Territorial Water of Lake of Toba, general arrangement.

Abstract

The research was conducted on July to October with goal to obtain gilnetter performa in Maskom Village, District of Bengkalis through vessel response toward beam sea, following sea, and head sea. The vessel faces oscilatory motion in 6 degree of freedom. The vessel model was optimizing vessel in previous research. The principal dimension is LBP 14,0 m; B 2,8 m; H 2,4 m and T 1 m. It was modelled by using Maxsurf and continued using Seakeeper to ana-lyze Response Amplitude Operator (RAO) for instance pitching, rolling and heaving motion. Input data as vessel speed, feading angle and spectrum type was entered to depicts vessel re-sponse information. RAO for pithcing, rolling and heaving is between 1,1-8 and encountering frequency is in 0,22-0,6. It can be concluded that the vessel are decent to operate in the sea (seaworthies).

Abstract

Difficulties to obtain good wooden materials as vessels primary materials conduce to drop the quality and the lifetime of a ship. To satisfy new ship building demand, a shipyard tends to apply fast building and ignores the ship quality, types, and dimension and materials characteristics. Shipyard also did not consider about the technical and operational aspects as rule and regulations for wooden vessels. Un-optimal ship construction make it low in quality and at the end, it cannot be used directly after handover. In general, the cause of damage of ship was due to unsatisfying of construction criteria such as the types of wood, including the age and the length of the wood used for its construction. In addition, it had been found that there were unsatisfied ships operating under construction regulation.

Abstract

This research was conducted in December 2012 with tuna longliner as the objectin which designed operated in Bungus Waters, Province of West Sumatera. The objectof the research was the review of previous reseach with optimatized main dimensionnamely LWL = 29,27 m, LPP = 28,14 m, B =6,40 m, H = 3,57 m dan T = 2,87 m. Theaim of this research is to calculate tuna longliner stability by inputting main dimension,form coefficients, and various other additional paramaters. Its value was entered toequations of stability calculation so that resulting a value that will be checked its statustowards stability criterion according to IMO. Calculation result conclude that tunalongliner stability satisfy IMO criterions.

Abstract

Abstract This research was conducted to measure the level of productivity in ship repair activities and determine the factors that influence the increase in productivity in ship repair activities. This research was carried out in April until May 2018 at the shipyard of the Palabuhanratu Fishing Port, Sukabumi Regency, West Java Province. The method used is a survey method by knowing directly the productivity of reparations in shipyards. Reparation is an overall activity about repairing a ship, starting from the collision on the part of the ship that is leaking, painting, replacing weathered wood, cleaning the hull skin and repairing the damaged engine. Productivity is a comparison between spending and input. The factors that most influence the shipyard productivity from the measured performance indicators are the number of employee absenteeism or labor where the importance of the weight is 30%, the ship repair workforce and effective working hours which have a weighting of 20% each. Based on the results of the measurement of performance indicators for 5 years with the Objective Matrix method, the productivity index of performance indicators from 2013 to 2017 has experienced a considerable decline due to the decreasing number of vessels carrying out ship repairs. Keywords: Ship Repair, Productivity, Measurement of Performance Indicators
