Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran Think berbasis media I Spring suite 8 bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development. Pengembangan media pembelajaran menggunakan metode Research and Development (R & D) dengan model 4 D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Dessiminate). Penelitian ini dimulai dari tahap define yaitu mengidentifikasi konsep-konsep material yang harus terkandung dalam media. Mendesain lebih lanjut model pembelajaran Think berbasis media pembelajaran I Spring suite 8. Setelah media dirancang dan dibuat maka dilakukan tahap pengembangan yaitu validasi produk oleh ahli dan uji coba produk pada proses perkuliahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validitas ahli materi dalam kriteria valid dengan persentase 88 persen, hasil validitas ahli media dalam kriteria valid dengan persentase media pembelajaran sebesar 89 persen. Dari uji kelayakan diperoleh hasil uji kelayakan. Disimpulkan bahwa media termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik.Asbtract. This research starts from the define stage that was identificatethe material concepts that must be contained in media. Furthermoredesign the I Spring suite 8 learning media based Think learning model. After media has been designed and created, the development stage was carried out, namely product validation by experts and product testing in the lecture process. The results showed that the validity of the material experts was in valid criteria with the percentage of 88 percent, the results of validity by media experts were in valid criteria with the percentage of learning media as much as 89percent. From the feasibility test, it was concluded that the media is included in the categoryvery good.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a focusky-based module on Paracytology course for Biology Education college students. The type of this research is Research Development (Research and Development). The development of focusky-based module uses the Research and Development (R & D) method with the 4 D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Dessiminate). This research starts from the define stage where at this stage identification of material concepts that must be contained in focusky-based module. Furthermore  design the focusky-based module. After focusky-based module has been designed and created, the development stage is carried out, namely product validation by experts and product testing in the lecture process. The results showed that the validity of the material experts was in valid criteria with the percentage of paracytology modules of 89%, the results of validity by media experts were in valid criteria with the percentage of learning media as much as 88,25%. From the feasibility test, it was concluded that the module is included in the category very good.

Abstract

Hydroponics was derived from the Greek words hydro that means water and ponos which means power. Hydroponics was also known as soilless culture or cultivation of plants without soil. So hydroponic means the plants mindculture utilizing water or without using soil as a soilless growing media. But there were also hydroponics that using soil, chaff, and sand or gravel. Hydroponics system was also applied to the vegetable crops and fruits. The vegetable crops that had been developed with hydroponic system were cabbage, lettuced, kale and celedry. The hydroponic models that used in this research was wick hidroponic models and vertical pipa paralon culture. Each of hydroponic models has its own short coming and advantages. Other factors that also determine the plants growth was fertilizer (nutrient). The nutrient that used in this research were tea waste, fertilizers coffee grounds. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of hydroponic models and nutrients to the celedrys growth rate. The research was quantitative research. Research conducted in the Ngumpul village in Ponorogo. Research held three times and analyzed using ANOVA test, then analyzed with Duncan test.

Abstract

Reading is the active process of understanding print and graphic texts. Reading is a thinking process. Students use reading to acquire knowledge which is related to scholastic success. This study aims to describe about 1) students selfs concept as a reader; 2) students value of reading. Subjects in this study were students of an educational institute IKIP Budi Utomo Malang majoring in Biology Education Program. To measure students selfs concept and value of reading using MRP (Motivation to Read Profile) questionnaire. Reading motivations that consist of students selfs concept and value of reading from the respondents have been analyzed to find out how their reading motivations. The research found that 77,65% students thought that they were a good reader but 77,65% students answer that they just have few understand of what they read. Most of the students have a positive value of reading but only 55,29% students that use their half time to read. Based on the findings of a questionnaire-based survey, the paper also attempts to put forward recommendations for improving the reading motivation of students.

Abstract

Poncokusumo is a village in East Java which most of the people work as a farmer. One of it’s comodities was apple fruit, and the products that have being popular now was apple’s chips. Nowdays people usually use vaccum friying technology to produce apple’s chips. There were some factors that can effect the apple’s chips quality such as slices thickness, oil type and vacuum frying temperature. This is a descriptive quantitative research that want to describe how the variations of slice thickness (K), type of oil (M), and vacuum frying temperature (S) effect the apple’s chips flavor and crispness. The response was organoleptic preference level of the flavor and crispness, chemical analyzes performed on water content, fat content, and carbohydrate content. The results showed there are difference flavor and crispness with variation of slice thickness, type of oil, and vacuum frying temperature. The organoleptic test also showed that most preferred apple’s chips have low water levels, low fat content and high carbohydrate content. The most preferred apple’s chips was chips that have 3 mm of slice thickness, use coconut oil and frying at 850C.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop Student Worksheets (LKS) based on the Predict Observe Explain Model for Class XI High School and (2) find out the feasibility test of Student Worksheets (LKS) based on the Predict Observe Explain model on the digestive system and respiratory system material in human. This research is a type of development research (research and development) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). This research was conducted in March 2018 until July 2018 at IKIP BUDI UTOMO Malang. Data analysis techniques were carried out using descriptive analysis with feasibility tests from material experts and media experts. The results of this study are: (1) the development of Student Worksheets (LKS) based on the Predict Observe Explain (POE) model produces a pre-filled section containing the main title page, preface, table of contents, competency map and instructions for use, the contents of the digestive system material and the human respiratory system and practice questions, the post-contents section contains a bibliography and author's profile with a total of 62 pages using 70 grams of HVS paper to fill the LKS and AP 120 paper for the cover of the LKS, printed with A5 paper size. (2) the results of the feasibility assessment by material experts get an average number of scores of 41.5 with a mean score of 3.4 which includes eligible criteria. Feasibility assessment of media experts get an average score of 43 with a mean score of 3.3 which includes Eligible criteria so that LKS based on the Explain Predict Observe model is suitable for use as teaching material
