Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini di karenakan dasawarsa media luar ruang mempunyai peran strategis dalam kehidupan politik berbangsa dan bertanah air. Media luar ruang juga berperan dalam menyalurkan dan menyebarkan informasi tentang peristiwa politik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskanpemetaan tanda yang terkandung pada media baliho dan menginterpretasikan pesan politik yang terkandung pada media baliho pilpres dan wapilpres Jokowi-JK 2014 di kota Makassar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan analisis semiotika dengan menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer diperoleh secara langsung baik berupa gambar siap olah maupun gambar yang telah di olah dari tim pemenangan kampanye Jokowi-JK di kota Makassar. Sedangkan data sekunder yaitu data yang dikumpulkan melalui dokumen-dokumen tertulis yang berkaitan dengan makna pesan kampanye Jokowi-JK. Data di analisis dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif, teori yang digunakan adalah teori perbedaan pendapat, teori informatif, teori persuasif dan teori propaganda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menghasilkan pemetaan pada baliho pertama terdapat dua ikon, enam indeks dan tiga simbol, sedangkan pada baliho kedua terdapat dua ikon, enam indeks dan tiga simbol, baliho ketiga terdapat dua ikon, tujuh indeks dan tiga simbol, baliho keempat terdapat dua ikon, enam indeks dan dua symbol, baliho kelima terdapat dua ikon, enam indeks dan dua simbol, pada baliho keenam terdapat dua ikon, enam indeks dan dua simbol dan terkahir pada baliho ketujuh terdapat dua ikon, enam indeks dan dua simbol. Sedangkan pada pada representasi pesan kampanye politik pada media baliho pilpres dan wapilpres 2014 adalah Jokowi-JK merupakan pemimpin transformasional dan melayani dengan memiliki beberapa karakter diantaranya seperti merakyat, amanah, sederhana, bijaksana, jujur dan bertanggung jawab. Adapun jenis pesan yang digunakan pada media baliho kampanye Jokowi-JK ini pada umumnya menggunakan jenis pesan yang bersifat propaganda.

Abstract

Humas merupakan salah satu elemen yang menentukan kampanye kebijakan pemerintah dalam penanganan Covid-19, namun faktanya masih ada sebagian masyarakat yang tidak mengetahui kebijakan penanganan Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana Humas dalam mengkampanyekan kebijakan penanganan Covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Manajemen Humas Pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Banggai dalam merespon penanganan Covid-19 melalui empat tahapan utama, yaitu: 1) Identifikasi masalah; 2) perencanaan dan program; 3) melaksanakan dan mengkomunikasikan; 4) evaluasi program. Selanjutnya media yang digunakan dalam mengkampanyekan kebijakan berupa media cetak (koran), media elektronik (radio), media sosial (Facebook, Instagram, dan Whatsapp), spanduk dan pola komunikasi konvensional (melalui rumah ibadah, balai pertemuan umum).

Abstract

Internet has penetrated not only urban areas but also remote villages, and has become a necessity for society as a whole. The spread of the internet has become a common thing in changing the social order of society. This study aims as a means of communicating information delivery through social media Instagram. This study uses a qualitative approach with literacy techniques. In the past, literacy referred to a person's ability to process and understand information in the process of reading and writing. Utilization of social media Instagram as a promotional medium by the elected regent pair. Instagram social media is used as a communication medium to communicate profiles, activities and information about partner selection. The results of this study indicate that the use of Instagram social media has not been optimally used by the chairman pair Syam-Suhartina Bohari because there is no special board to manage it.

Abstract

The digital era has brought many changes in various aspects of life, including the health sector. Digital media is a health communication tool to disseminate information, education, and knowledge about health. Digital media plays an essential role in changing how people get and understand health information. This research article describes the use of digital media in health communication in Indonesia and how it has changed the traditional paradigm of delivering health information. A qualitative approach through literature review and in-depth interviews with stakeholders using digital media for health communication in Indonesia. These stakeholders include health practitioners, health app developers, digital health service users, and health communication experts. This article shows how digital media, such as websites, mobile apps, and social media, have improved people's health knowledge and behavior. The findings show that digital media have become important health information channels, facilitating interactions between healthcare providers and the public. However, challenges related to information reliability and digital literacy are of concern. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of ongoing efforts to improve digital literacy and ensure the reliability of health information disseminated through digital media.

Abstract

This study investigates the ethical dimensions of digital journalism with a focus on privacy, aiming to shed light on the challenges faced by journalists in balancing transparency with the protection of individual privacy rights. A qualitative analysis was conducted, incorporating case studies and an examination of legal frameworks to understand the ethical dilemmas digital journalists encounter. Additionally, established best practices were analyzed to ascertain effective strategies for addressing privacy concerns. The study revealed that journalists encounter multifaceted ethical challenges when handling personal information. Case studies underscored instances where inadequate privacy considerations led to real-world harm. Legal frameworks, including GDPR and COPPA, impose responsibilities on journalists to responsibly handle personal data. In conclusion, this study underscores the critical role of ethical reporting in the digital journalism landscape. By prioritizing privacy considerations, journalists can navigate the complex landscape, ensuring that their work upholds both journalistic integrity and individual privacy rights.

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into journalism has caused a significant shift in the industry. AI-powered tools are now a part of the journalistic workflow, transforming how news is collected, reported, and shared. These tools can assist with fact-checking, research, and content generation. This technological advancement has the potential to revolutionize how we interact with news in the digital age. In this article, we explore the relationship between AI and journalism, examining its advantages and challenges. Through a comprehensive analysis of academic literature and interviews with experts in journalism and AI, this article embarks on a journey of discovery. It concludes that a balanced and ethical approach is crucial to the integration of AI in journalism. The article emphasizes the importance of ethical guidelines to govern the use of AI in newsrooms, with a focus on transparency, accountability, and eliminating bias. As AI-infused journalism continues to evolve, it is the responsibility of journalists to ensure that this technological marvel enhances human capabilities and does not undermine the fundamental principles of journalism.

Abstract

This article examines the evolution of contemporary journalistic practices in the context of the mass media transformation in the digital era. Employing a qualitative approach, through document analysis and in-depth interviews with media practitioners, the study reveals how digitalization affects news processes and journalistic dynamics. Focusing on the period from 2015 to 2023, the research finds that the digital revolution has brought about significant changes in news production, distribution, and consumption. Notably, there has been an increased integration of digital technology in news gathering and presentation, as well as a shift in media-audience interaction. The article also highlights the challenges faced by journalists in adapting to new technologies and changing audience preferences, including issues of speed versus accuracy and the struggle against the spread of misinformation. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of how contemporary journalistic practices adapt and evolve in an increasingly digital society, as well as its implications for the future of the news industry.
