Abstract

ABSTRACTFace is the part of the body that is uncovered topographically and easy to get trauma as the result. The high incidence of traffic accident in developing countries is equal to the increasing of facial bone fracture incidence rate. Anatomy shape and the opened-position of mandibular lead to be easy to get trauma compared to other facial bones. This research was aimed to know the incidence rate of mandibular fracture based on anatomical location in Riau Province General Hospital during January 2011-December 2013 that consists of distribution of mandibular fracture in age, sex, total of fracture line, and trauma variant. The research was an observational study using descriptive retrospective design. This study used total sampling method. Samples of this study were all data of mandibular fracture patient that fulfilled inclusion criteria. The total samples were 206 cases. This study shows that the age group of 18-40 years old (59%) and male (80.1%) in sex group were the most commonly patient with mandibular fracture. Single trauma was the highest trauma that happened with 57.3% in percentage. The highest fracture line was single fracture (68.6%) with symphysis parasymphysis region (26.7%). Symphysis parasymphysis mandibular fracture was found in age group of 18-40 years old (53.12%), male in sex group (75%), single fracture line (63.38), and single trauma in trauma variant (57.81%.) .Keywords: Mandibular Fracture, Anatomical Fracture Location

Abstract

ABSTRACTVisum et Repertum (VeR) is a written report by a sworn doctor and has theauthority of what he/she has seen and and found in the evidence presented. The mostfrequent VeR requested by investigators is VeR of injury. A good quality of VeR isrequired in view of its important role in litigation of a criminal offense. This studywas aimed to understand the quality of VeR of injury in Kepulauan MerantiGeneral Hospital during 1 January 2010-31 December 2013. The research wasan observational study using descriptive retrospective design. This study usedHerkutanto’s scoring method towards 13 VeR substances. Samples of this studywere all data of VeR of injury that had fulfilled inclusion criteria. The total ofsamples were 70 samples of VeR. This study suggested that the highest number ofliving victims of injury cases was 27 victims (38,6%) in age group 22-40 years oldwith the most frequent sex was male as many as 43 victims (61,4%). The mostfrequent violence was blunt violence as many as 57 (81,4%) cases with the mostfrequent age group was 22-40 years old. The quality of VeR in preface was89,14% (good), in body part was 58,69% (medium) and in conclusion was39,28% (poor). In general, quality of VeR of injury in Kepulauan MerantiGeneral Hospital during 1 january 2010-31 december 2013 was 50% that couldbe categorized as medium quality.Keywords: Visum et Repertum, injury, quality of VeR of injury

Abstract

ABSTRACTVisum et Repertum (VeR) is a written statement of doctor who made request by the investigator is required for law enforcement and justice. VeR of injury is the type of VeR that most often requested by the investigator to a doctor. This research were done to find out the quality of VeR of injury in Bengkalis General Hospital during 1st January 2009-31st December 2013. A descriptive retrospective research was designed using Herkutanto’s scoring method with 13 unit VeR in preliminary unit of Ver, reporting unit of VeR and inference unit of VeR. All VeR data in Bengkalis General Hospital during 1st January 2009-31st December 2013 were counted as samples a two hundred forty four VeR data in Bengkalis General Hospital during 1st January 2009-31st December 2013. That were found injury survivors most cases are in the age group 22-40 years old as many as 106 victims (43,44%), mostly male 177 victims (72,54%). The most frequent violence that were experienced by the victims were blunt violence was 280 VeR (85,25%). The preliminary unit of VeR about 69,34% showed medium quality, the reporting unit about 55,09% showed medium quality and also the inference unit about 42,62% showed poor quality. It can be concluded that quality of VeR reports in Bengkalis General Hospital during 1st January 2009-31st December 2013 was 49% which means poor quality.Keywords: Visum et Repertum, injury, the quality of Visum et Repertum of injury
