Abstract

The economic profit of mini purse seine fishing business in the coastal area of the Kei Islands is different in every season and fishing ground. The aim.of.this analyze the profit of the mini purse seine fishing business on every season and on fishing grounds. Collecting data using survey methods, determining respondents using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using fishing ground analysis and economic analysis. The results of.the identification indicate that during the transitional season 1 and west, the mini purse seine fishing ground are located on the eastern coast of Tayando and eastern Kei Besar coast and the Nerong strait. The result of the identification shows that the fishing grounds of mini purse seine in the western and transitional 1 seasons in the waters of the eastern Tayando Island, the Nerong Strait, and the waters of the eastern Kei Besar Island, while at the beginning of.the east monsoon in the waters of.the eastern part of Tayando Island and the Nerong Strait.The.results.of.the.economic.analysis.show.that the fishing grounds waters of.the eastern Tayando Islandhaves higher economic profit in each season because it has low efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and high business profit. Fisheries managers in Maluku Province need to work together with fishermen to regulate production inputs in the fishing grounds of the Nerong Strait every season.

Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF SEA CUCUMBER CULTIVATION IN MADWAER VILLAGE, SOUTHEAST MALUKU. Sea cucumbers or Teripang (Holothuria sp) is a fishery commodity that has economic value. Sea cucumbers are often caught and sold by a group of people in Madwaer village, Southeast Maluku regency. The value of perceived benefits motivates them (partners) to try to cultivate sea cucumbers by utilizing the coastal conditions in their village. Limitations of knowledge about the technique of making cucumber cultivation container, technology of sea cucumber rearing and management of sea cucumber business is a problem faced by partners. This activity aims to help partners solve the problems faced. The method used in this activity is elucidation, training and monitoring. From the results of the activity is known that partners have had the knowledge and skills so that they are able to make a good cultivation cucumber container, able to cultivate sea cucumbers and partners are able to do the management of sea cucumber business well.

Abstract

Following the Covid-19 outbreak, the number of fisheries processing organisations in Southeast Maluku Regency declined significantly. The Sibit group in Loon Village is one of the groups that is still operating and is striving to expand its operation through business diversification. The goal of this service activity is to assist the Sibit group with expanding their business by acquiring product label legality, product quality testing, yesterday product design, and general management competence enhancement. Counseling, training, and direct help to partners in fisheries processing business groups are employed to attain this specific purpose. The business group supported and responded positively to this community service initiative. There is a fundamental concept of management and business management, as well as the growth of expansion through the diversity of processed products generated.
