Abstract

This study aimed to explore the phylogenetic pattern of Extended-spectrum β-lactamase-producing Escherichia coli in the gut flora of neonatal into groups A, B1, B2, D and tracing the presence of spreading among the age group of neonatal. Multiplex PCR was conducted to classify the phylogenetic group of ESBL producing E. coli into groups of commensals (A, B1) and pathogen (B2, D). The spread of bacterial agents among the host (neonatal) was conducted by the RAPD-PCR method with two random primers. Among 34 bacterial isolates were identified among early neonatal group A (22,2%), B1 (11,1%), B2 (22,2%) D (33,3%) and postneonatal groups A (8%), B1 (4%), B2 (36%) D (40%). It was not a statistically significant difference (p=0.388). The dominance of pathogenic groups B2 and D as many as 70,6%. From 34 samples was found 34 types of RAPD indicated there were not any bacterial spread among neonatal. The ESBL producing E. coli among early neonatal and postneonatal were dominated by the pathogenic group of B2 and D (total=70,6%), but they were not statistically significant. There was not any spreading of bacterial agents among individual gut flora of neonatal.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transition between childhood and adulthood characterized by psychic, physical change and maturation of human reproductive organs called puberty. Adolescent populations need to get serious attention because they are very risky with reproductive health issues about premarital sexual behavior, drugs and HIV/AIDS and have a great desire to try various things, including active in dating. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of reproductive health counseling to the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about sexual premarital in Lebak Pracimantoro Wonogiri. This study used quasy experiment design with pretest-postest. The sample of the research is 30 adolescents in Lebak Pracimantoro Wonogiri. Statistical analysis using Wilcoxon test with a degree of α = 0.05 significance. The results showed that the respondents knowledge of premarital sex before counseling activities with the most knowledgeable were as many as 29 people (93.5%) and quite as much as 2 people (6.5%). After the counseling activities on premarital sex, there has been an increase in knowledge where good knowledgeable respondents increased to 31 people (100%), there was an increase in scores on 18 respondents and a decrease in scores on 8 respondents. While 5 respondents get the same score between pretes and postes. Statistical test results were obtained that p = 0.02 < α = 0.05 for knowledge and p = 0.043 < α = 0.05 for adolescents attitudes. This demonstrates that reproductive health counseling activities on adolescents influence of knowledge and attitudes about premarital sex.

Abstract

In neonates, infection by ESBL-producing bacteria increases the risk of death, and decelerates time for recovery. Thus, neonates with ESBL infection who require antibiotic therapy will be hospitalized longer than patients who are not infected with ESBL. This causes the cost of hospitalization in the hospital increases. To identify the risk factors of ESBL transmission to neonates. Literature search from journal from January till August 2020 using an online journal database by the keywords ESBL, ESBL neonatus, dan risk factor ESBL. A total of 35 articles are selected because they match the inclusion criteria, namely titles and content relevant to the purpose, written in English or Indonesian, full text, published in the last 7 years. From 14 articles selected for review, information is obtained regarding risk factors for the ESBL transmission to neonates. The risk factors associated with the ESBL transmission to neonates are ages, delivery process, visits to health facilities, and administration of antibiotics.
