Abstract

Banana plants in Indonesia can grow well both high and lowland, from the temperate wet and dry climate. In addition to the consumption of fresh banana in Indonesia a few cultivars are also widely used as industrial raw material chips, “sale pisang” and banana flour. Many craftsmen who developed food banana in the form of sale due to ease in the manufacturing process, in addition to food enthusiasts sale high enough banana. Making banana sale in the domestic industrial scale is still mostly done by hand which is only capable of producing 20 kg / hour in the form of processed banana fruit in banana sale. So many craftsmen maker banana sale household scale industries can not buy banana in large numbers. In the manufacture of sale of banana is done manually are still many shortcomings, which measure the thickness of the sale of banana produced uneven. In general, pressing machine banana sale is a tool that changes the shape of banana from thick to thin size. By utilizing the roll rotation that drives the conveyor belt top and conveyor belt bottom of the moving direction. In this study is designed pressing sale banana toot driven electric motor with power 2 hp 1 phase with a speed of 1400 rpm. With a shaft diameter of 25 mm, the size of the pegs 10x22 mm whit a depth of 5 mm. Gear is used in this reduction type where a large number of gear as much as 115 teeth, gear motor driver as much as 9 teeth and roll gear driver as much as 15 teeth. Bearings used in the manufacture of this pressing banana sale tool is bearing 6305 ZZ C3 P6 type. Resulting of test manufacturing pressing banana sale tool conducted showed that the pressing machine capable flattens banana sale with an average size of 10.16 cm in length banana sale, with  3.3 cm and 0.36 cm thick with a capacity of 90 Kg/hour or in day (7 hour) machine capable of pressing flattens banana sale much as 630 Kg/day.Keywords: Banana plants,  pressing,  machine design

Abstract

Perancangan sebuah desain merupakan kegiatan awal dari usaha pengembangan suatu produk yang kebutuhannya sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat. Masyarakat dalam hal ini menginginkan suatu alat atau mesin untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi yang cepat, tepat, dan efesien. Hal ini dikarenakan proses tingkat produksi sekarang sangat tinggi dan tingkat kebutuhan yang semakin meningkat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat perancangan desain alat pengupas kulit luar buah melinjo yang sederhana sehingga dapat mudah diaplikasikan di masyarakat, terutama di industri pembuatan emping skala kecil dan menengah di pedesaan. Serta untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi supaya tercapainya hasil yang sesuai, baik dalam pekerjaan maupun mutu. Melinjo atau Gnetum gnemon linn merupakan tanaman biji-bijian, hampir dari seluruh bagian dari tanaman ini mempunyai manfaat. Daun muda, bunga, kulit biji tua yang sangat populer dimasyarakat yang digunakan sebagai bahan sayuran. Dalam produksinya terutama pada proses awal yaitu proses pengupasan kulit lunak buah melinjo masih di lakukan secara manual dengan memanfaatkan tenaga manusia dengan menggunakan pisau sebagai alat pengupasnya. Aktivitas proses pengupasan kulit lunak buah melinjo diketahui melalui survei setiap harinya para pekerja membutuhkan waktu rata-rata pengupasan 2 jam dengan kapasitas biji melinjo sebanyak 5 kg. Berdasarkan permasalahan diatas dilakukan perancangan alat pengupas kulit luar buah melinjo, dengan analisis diperoleh rancangan alat dengan model roll gerigi. Dari hasil pengolahan data rancangan mesin didapat dimensi tinggi 984,5 mm, lebar 320 mm dan panjang 900 mm. Dengan karakteristik bahan yaitu : Plat lembaran, Poros, Besi rangka, roll gerigi sebagai pengupas, Bearing, Pulley, Belt, Motor listrik 1 HP. Hasil dari mesin ini berupa melinjo yang sudah terkelupas dari kulit luar buah melinjo dengan kapasitas 120 kg/jam, dan dari hasil uji kerja mesin didapat presentase hasil sebesar 73%.Kata kunci : melinjo, mesin pengupas, alat pengupas kulit luar buah melinjo. ABSTRACT: The Machine Design Skinner Outside of Melinjo Roll Model Serrations Capacity 120 Kg Per Hour. The concept of a design is the initial activity of the business development needs a product that is needed by society. In this case the community wants a device or machine to increase production of rapid, accurate, and efficient. This is because the current production level is very high and increasing level of need. The aim of this study is to make designing the outer skin of the fruit peeler melinjo simple so it can be easily applied in society, particularly in the industrial manufacture of small and medium-scale empings in the countryside. As well as to increase production in order to achieve appropriate results, both at work and quality. Melinjo or Gnetum gnemon linn is the grain crops, almost all parts of this plant has benefits. The young leaves, flowers, old seed coat that is very popular in the community are used as vegetables. In production is mainly at the beginning of the process, namely the process of stripping the skin soft fruit melinjo still done manually by using human power using a knife peeler. Activities soft fruit pulping process melinjo known through surveys each day the workers took an average of 2 hours stripping with a capacity of 5 kg seeds counted melinjo. Based on the above problems is to design the outer skin of the fruit peeler melinjo, the draft obtained by analysis tool with models roll serrations. From the data processing engine design obtained high dimension 984.5 mm, width 320 mm and length of 900 mm. With the characteristics of the material namely: Plat sheet, axis, iron frame, roll serrations as a peeler, Bearings, Pulley, Belt, Electric Motor 1 HP. Results of this machine in the form of melinjo peeling of the outer skin of the fruit melinjo with a capacity of 120 kg / hour, and from result of test work machine go by presentase result of aqual to 73%.Keywords : melinjo, parer, peeler outer skin of the fruit melinjo
