Abstract

The pandemic has caused an economic downturn in the Sekaran Gunung Pati area, Semarang. The Banaran Community Center as a Christian institution seeks to internalize the attitude of Jesus who cares for people who suffer and need help, has facilitated by providing empowerment in the form of catfish farming in buckets (budikdamber). The method of implementation is through the stages of preparation, assessment, program planning, formulation of action plans, program implementation, evaluation and termination. The results of the budikdamber show that the assisted groups experience additional insight into catfish cultivation in buckets, an increase in the economy in the family and gain insight into effective marketing strategies. This paper contributes to the context of a mission strategy through community empowerment.Pandemik menyebabkan kelesuan ekonomi di wilayah Sekaran Gunung Pati Semarang. Pusat Komunitas Banaran selaku Lembaga kristen berupaya menginternalisasi sikap Yesus yang peduli kepada orang-orang yang menderita dan membutuhkan pertolongan, telah menfasilitasi dengan memberikan pemberdayaan berupa budidaya ikan lele dalam ember (budikdamber). Metode pelaksanaan melalui tahapan persiapan, pengkajian, perencanaan program, formulasi rencana aksi, implementasi program, evaluasi dan terminasi. Hasil budikdamber didapati bahwa kelompok dampingan mengalami penambahan wawasan dalam budidaya lele dalam ember, adanya peningkatan ekonomi dalam keluarga dan bertambahnya wawasan dalam strategi pemasaran yang efektif. Tulisan ini memberi kontribusi dalam konteks strategi misi melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat.

Abstract

Service in a cultural context is needed. God set an example by entering into the context of human culture through Jesus Christ. The disciples and the Apostle Paul also preached the Gospel by adjusting themselves to the enculturation and acculturation of the local culture. This study aims to examine the attitude of the apostle Paul's enculturation and acculturation. The method used is qualitative with hermeneutic and literature studies. The research found that Paul applied God's wisdom in his outreach based on the awareness of love and awareness as a messenger of the gospel. He mingled with lowly people, felt what they felt, followed their way of life and general rules without having to taint the principles of truth that had been engraved in him. In a sense, even though Paul lived in a mingling with them, Paul did not compromise on sin. This is done so that evangelism can be done effectively.

Abstract

The Bible records differences in the formula of baptism. As Jesus taught in Matthew 28:19, those who believe should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Meanwhile, in some parts of the Bible, the disciples command every believer to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. This study tries to describe the formula of baptism taught by Jesus. It is a descriptive research and used the Bible, books, and journals as the main sources. It is concluded that the formula of baptism in the name of Jesus does not contradict His teachings. However, because Jesus Himself taught that baptism must be in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, in practice, it is better to use the formula He had taught.
