Abstract

This study is a development research or often known as Research and Development (RD). It developed a learning media for writing procedure text in the form of video. The study used the research procedure proposed by Thiagarajan abbreviated as 4D (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination) that was adapted and simplified into 3D, namely the Define, Design, and Development stages. The validation test was carried out by four experts; two media experts and two material experts. The research instrument used a validation sheet in the form of a questionnaire that used a Likert scale in the form of a checklist contained five kinds of answers in each question item given to material experts and media experts. The data obtained was quantitative that converted into qualitative data. The percentage data analysis was carried out to determine the percentage of product feasibility on learning media in the form of video. The percentage of the results of material and media validation shows that the media developed in this study is said to be feasible through several stages of assessment. As for the feasibility of the quality of the material from the development of this learning media, 84% of the first material experts with very valid qualifications and very decent categories, 69% of the second material experts with valid qualifications and proper categories, 81% of the first media experts with very valid qualifications and very feasible category and 100% of the second media expert with very valid qualifications and very feasible category. Based on the material and media aspect or overall learning media writing procedure text in the form of learning videos in this study is said to be very feasible use on Self Directed Learning Model.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the development process and feasibility of negotiation text learning media assisted by Powtoon video for class X SMA students. The source of data is questionnaires. The type of data used quantitative descriptive data as the main data collected through an instrument with a Likert scale. Respondents in this study were material and media experts. The research method used 4-D of Research and Development by Thiagajangan that consists of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination. This study is limited to the development and validation stages by four expert validators, since the current situation of Covid-19 so it cannot do the dissemination stage. Based on the results of the material expert responses, the overall material aspect average was 75% with the "Eligible" category. Meanwhile, media/design experts obtained an average overall aspect of 87% in the "Very Eligible" category. It means that the learning media is feasible and valid to be applied to small groups and large groups.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop and assess the feasibility of comic media for teaching anecdote writing to Class X students at SMAS Al-Hidayah Medan. Following the Research and Development approach by Borg and Gall, this study involved seven steps: research and data collection, planning, product draft development, preliminary field testing, revising trial results, main field testing, and improving the operational product. The sample comprised 24 students from a population of 46. The assessment results indicated that the developed product was deemed feasible. Material experts I and II rated it as "Decent" (78%) and "Very Eligible" (95%) respectively. Media experts I and II assessed it as "Very Eligible" (90%) and "Decent" (80%) respectively. Indonesian language teachers' response was "Very Eligible" (94%), and students' response was also "Very Eligible" (90%).
