Abstract

Abstract:  This research and development aims to produce student worksheets (LKS) based on inquiry guided to improve student science process skills on slope and lever material. The development used refers to the model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementations, and Evaluation). The data collection instruments used are interview guidelines, validation sheets, and readability test polls. The results of this study showed that the developed LKS have high feasibility. This can be seen at the test phase of Kevaliand the LKS assessed by three experts covering materials and media experts, obtained an average assessment of 87.55% of the material experts and 91.01% of the media experts, so that this assessment proves that the LKS meet the criteria "very valid". At practicality test, the student response to the LKS was acquired on average score of 92%. The average student rating meets the "excellent" criteria. At the next stage is a test of the effectiveness seen in student learning outcomes. The average result of pre-test values is 50.75 Class A and 48.83 Class B, while the average post-test value is 80.67 Class A and 81.33 Class B. Based on the stage traveled with the results obtained, the LKS-based inquiry is guided to be worthy and effective in improving students ' science process skills

Abstract

This study is an experimental research using a quasi-experimental design with the type of non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest. This research aims to reduce Intrinsic Cognitive Load (ICL) through Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) model based STEM approach. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Seputih Banyak with the research subjects of class X IPA 1 students and X IPA 4. An data Intrinsic Cognitive Load obtained from essay the pretest-posttest (Task Complexity worksheet). Cognitive load test data analysis was performed using the data normality test, N-gain test and hypothesis test using the Paired Sample T-Test. The experimental class implements the Inquiry Based Learning model based audio and visual using STEM approach while the control class is nonaudio and visual. The results showed by the average value of N-Gain Intrinsic Cognitive Load (ICL) in the experimental class was 0.63 with the moderate category and the control class was 0.18 with the low category. Based on data analysis, can be concluded that there is a positive influence in the form of a decrease in the cognitive load Intrinsic Cognitive Load (ICL) in the experimental class using the Inquiry Based Learning model plus an audio and visual based  STEM approach.

Abstract

This study aims to measure students' complex problem solving on the concept of global warming. This study used a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects were 52 grade 11 high school students in Pesawaran District using a purposive sampling technique. This study uses eight essay questions as complex problem-solving instruments with six skill indicators, namely 1) articulating the problem, 2) identifying the desired result, 3) brainstorming creative options, 4) analyzing and choosing the best option, 5) developing an action plan that will achieve the result desired end 6) establish a plan of action and adapt as needed. The results showed that there was an effect of learning using the nature of science on students' complex problem solving with an increase of 0.75 in the high category in the experimental class compared to the control class with an increase of 0.35 in the medium category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity, practicality and effectiveness of a learning program based on multiple representations integrated PjBL STEM to foster students' sustainability literacy. This study used a mix method using the ADDIE model for learning program development framework. The research subjects were the students of SMAN 2 Kotabumi, class XI MIPA 3 as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 2 as the control class. Based on the analysis of research data the learning program developed is feasible to be implemented based on the assessment of experts who meet the very valid category, has a good practicality and proved to be effective in increasing the learning outcomes of sustainability literacy with N gain in the experimental class which is higher than the control class. The study findings showed that (1) the learning program with Multiple representations integrated with PjBL STEM is proven to maximize the potential of students and minimize learning gaps because students were more facilitated to develop their potential to the fullest, (2) the Learning activities have improved students’ sustainability literacy related to renewable energy. These findings gave empirical evidence that project-based learning are recommended to support learning activities, and in line with government policy

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of interactive e-modules based on PjBL-STEM activities to train students' visual literacy.  This research uses mixed methods with sequential explanatory design to obtain quantitative and qualitative data.  Quantitative data was obtained by administering questionnaires to 39 science teachers in Lampung province and 149 junior high school students and qualitative data was obtained from interviews with teachers. The research results show as many as 41.70% of teacher respondents were new to using e-module teaching materials.  The e-module they use is not yet interactive and the activities in the e-module do not invite students to carry out projects.  The results of the teacher questionnaire were only 15.3% of teacher respondents using the PjBL learning model.  As many as 74.5% of teacher respondents stated that the e-modules used had not been used to train students' visual literacy.  The results of the questionnaire and interviews of teachers responded positively to the existence of teaching materials that can train students' visual literacy.
