Abstract

The availability of materials that meet production needs is sometimes not easy to obtain. Material properties must meet the standards are physical properties, including violence. One method is to increase the value of the surface hardness of the material by the boriding process. Boriding is a surface hardening process through the process of diffusion of the substrate, thereby causing the material hardness to increase. The results showed the temperature in the boriding process of DIN 34CrNiMo6 material was proven to affect the surface hardness of the material. The FeB diffusion process begins to form at temperatures of 850°C and 950°C. The optimal temperature for the boriding process is at a temperature of 950°C.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a characteristic that can be observed in the actions of a person or institution. Entrepreneurship includes a range of behaviors, skills and traits that support the development of innovation and creativity. Someone who always works better and is different from others, so that person is an entrepreneur. This research is a preliminary research that aims to produce the profile of entrepreneurial competence of Polman students in Bandung. From the profile of entrepreneurial competence, students are expected to formulate patterns of entrepreneurship development in Polman Bandung. The research method used is descriptive method, with ex post facto research type and survey data collection method through questionnaire. The instrument used in this study was adapted from the Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies (PEC) developed by McClelland with McBer and Co. The results of the study were processed with descriptive analysis statistics. The conclusion of the study shows that the profile dimensions of entrepreneurial competence and the average total score of Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies (PEC) Polman Bandung students are categorized as medium criteria, which means that each individual has competence in entrepreneurship, although the level still needs to be improved.

Abstract

Abstrac : The assessed co-curricular can build students’ character. However, the study which describe about it has not existed until now. The aim of this study is to acquire deep knowledge about co-curricular program as method in character education, so the concept and strategy to operate it efficiently and effectively can be obtained. Data is collected by using questionnaire instrument of Social Skill Improvement System Rating Scale or SSIS-RS (Gresham & Elliot, 2008) distributed to students who participate in co-curricular from various fields, in which 131 students become sample. The data result is analyzed by using factor analysis technique to find out which factor is dominant and to determine variable rank. The study result shows that co-curricular participant students can build their character by 68%, specifically, character education with co-curricular in field of sports is 76%, arts is 60%, and special skill is 65%, and the rest is stimulated by other factors which had not been revealed. It can be concluded that sports in co-curricular activity give the most dominant contribution in forming students’ character compared with another field

Abstract

Indonesia has many corn-producing areas, but the need for corn still cannot be fulfilled because several regions cannot produce corn to the fullest, especially in West Java. Besides that, The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a need for more corn buyers, both from factories and collectors, to absorb corn yields from farmers. This condition indicates that the climate for small and medium business activities in the agricultural sector, especially corn, still needs to be more conducive and optimal. This study aims to analyze the influence of Entrepreneurial Orientation and External Environment on Business Strategy. The data collection results were analyzed using the Pearson correlation method and linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that business strategy is influenced by entrepreneurial orientation and the external environment. Entrepreneurial orientation and the external environment must be honed and continuously improved to impact innovative business strategies' power significantly.

Abstract

Considering Polman Bandung is a public higher education institution, it has a responsibility to evaluate how satisfactorily its services are received by its customers. However, Polman Bandung currently lacks a valid and reliable measurement tool, so it is necessary to create one so that the results can be more credibly reported. This study aims to obtain an instrument model for measuring customer satisfaction with the services provided by Polman Bandung. This study was a qualitative analysis study using the grounded research methodology to obtain new perspectives for developing customer satisfaction measuring tools.  Activities that have been carried out include formulating the dimensions of customer satisfaction to be measured by combining 14 elements of the community service satisfaction index from KEMENPAN no.25/2004, 9 elements of service satisfaction dimensions from PERMENPAN no.14/2017, and the CARTER dimension which consists of 6 dimensions so that new dimensions are obtained in measuring service satisfaction with Polman Bandung institutions. The dimensions formulated into CHARACTER consist of 9 dimensions, namely Compliance, Handling complaints, Assurance, Reliability, Ability to serve, Clarity, Tangibility, Empathy, and Responsiveness. These nine dimensions are then derived into question items in the form of a questionnaire used to measure the level of service satisfaction provided by the institution to its customers. Responses from 757 respondents from internal and external customers were used in the quantitative analysis to test the validity and reliability of the measurement instrument. The result of this research showed measurement instrument's validity and reliability tests revealed that 18 elements are determined to be valid, and the highest validity value for each dimension is chosen to serve as a question item in the instrument that has up to 9 question items, in addition, the Cronbach's alpha reliability number is 0.945, allowing for proper use of the tool.
