Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic affects businesses around the world and the most impacted are small and medium event organizer business (SMB EO) that usually having social gathering event participated by a few hundred participants only. Digital transformation must be executed immediately to adapt to the conditions utilizing Industry 4.0 technology especially in recent pandemic era. This paper study the enterprise architecture design of SMB EO utilizing Industry 4.0 to survive in pandemic era and beyond. The enterprise architecture based on Togaf framework consists of business, application, information, and technology architecture is decribed in this paper. Small business doesn’t have the big capital on investing in technologies and during pandemic where certain technology is scarce may cause the business to be left behind. Choice of utilizing public social media and cloud providers according to the architecture is the key. Once the technology is adopted, business is digitalized then business can be ready to face future metaverse business model.

Abstract

Management of forest resources can generate income for individuals or companies including agroforestry and ecotourism. In times of a pandemic like recent times, the application of technology with the Industry 4.0 framework is needed the most and is no longer a privilege. However, the implementation of Industry 4.0 technology requires large investment or cost so that a collaborative ecosystem is required from several stakeholders such as forest planter, crop planters, livestock and ecotourism business actors with suppliers, customers and policy makers. In its application, even for Information Technology (IT) system in general, the use of Enterprise Architecture is a mediator between business language and IT language. With all of that background and a literature study approach, this research will propose an Enterprise Architecture design with an Industry 4.0 framework in the agroforestry industry and ecotourism that can be used together to form an integrated ecosystem from various stakeholders, both for companies of various scales and small farmers if supported by the government or a larger company for better efficiency and common interests.

Abstract

Currently the development of information technology is very fast in its development. Up to all fields can not be separated from information technology. In the industrial era 4.0, there are also a lot of Internet of Things devices. Almost every field has used many IoT devices. The presence of IoT-based devices is very helpful in modern human life today. Moreover, with the development of microcontrollers and open source makes someone create a device quickly. One of them is making a prototype for sensing objects. By utilizing the Arduino Uno microcontroller and Ultrasonic sensors to create a sensing prototype. The results of this sensing can be displayed on notebooks and mobile phones. The microcontroller also sends sensing sensor data via Bluetooth as a wireless communication medium. Called Internet of Thing if a device can send signals to other devices. Various data communications can be via wireless or wire. Mobile app that is used to display sensing results from Ultrasonic sensors. Use of the App Inventor platform as a front end for mobile apps. This device is only limited to a short distance. Due to the limitations of the Ultrasonic sensing sensor it does not exceed 1 meter. This prototype can be developed using a longer distance and can be applied to remote sensing, if changing the sensing sensor with a remote sensing sensor.
