Abstract

AbstrakCendawan endofit akar bersepta gelap,Veronaeopsis simplex (CBS 588.66) pertama kali diisolasi dari serasah daun Acacia karoo di Afrika Selatan. Dua isolat Jepang (Y34 dan IBA K45) dewasa ini juga telah berhasil diisolasi dari pulau Yakushima dan Ibaraki. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan kedua isolat ini memiliki posisi taksonomi yang sama dengan V. simplex. Hasil analisis filogenetik secara molekular menggunakan fragmen ITS 1, 5.8S rDNA dan ITS 2 gene region menunjukkan hubungan kekerabatan yang sangat dekat. Karakter morfologi dan faktor lingkungan yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan cendawan seperti temperature dan pH berhasil diamati. Dua isolat Jepang dapat tumbuh pada suhu 37°C, namun isolat Afrika Selatan tidak dapat tumbuh pada suhu tersebut. Ketiga isolat dapat tumbuh dengan baik tanpa adanya perbedaan pada perlakuan nitrat dan asam amino Phe, Val, Leu. Cendawan DSE tersebar luas pada rizosfer dan rizoplain tanaman dan salah satu manfaat dari kolonisasi DSE ialah penguraian secara enzimatik sumber nutrisi organik di tanah yang akan ditransfer ke tanaman meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman tersebut. Dari ketiga isolat yang diuji, tidak satupun isolat yang menunjukkan kemampuan mendegradasi selulose, lignin, atau pectin, sedangkan lipase, gelatin, amylase, asam tanat dan asam galik menunjukkan respon yang positif

Abstract

Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum L.) is an important horticultural crops but very susceptive in their growth. It is known that the plant growth can be influenced by microorganisms, such as symbiosis between plants and endophytic fungi. Endophytic fungi are fungi that live in the tissues of living plants and will not cause any negative effects on its host. This study aims to determine the growth of tomato plants affected by endophytic fungi isolated from Mangrove root collected from Pulau Dua Sanctuary Serang Banten, both in vitro and in vivo. There were five isolates endophytic fungi of mangrove root (CEM), collection of biology education laboratory UNTIRTA, which is used in this study: CEM 2, CEM 3, CEM 4, CEM 7, and CEM 9. The research conducted by inoculating tomato seedlings on MS medium that has been grown by endophytic fungi for in vitro growth, while the in vivo growth carried out by inoculating tomato seedlings on zeolite medium with corn as a fungi carrier. Morphological observation and plant growth parameters measured after 5 weeks incubation. The result showed that CEM 9 is the potential endophytic fungi from roots of Mangrove Pulau Dua Sanctuary Serang to increase tomato growth.

Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the quality of the waters of the Ciwaka Reservoir, Serang City, Banten, based on the content of chlorophyll-a and the presence of phytoplankton. The relationship between the chlorophyll-a content and the presence of phytoplankton with the physical-chemical parameters of the waters was also being analyzed. Thus the results from the study were used as content for learning media education research. This research was conducted from February-July 2021, in Ciwaka Reservoir, Serang City, Banten. A sampling of water at three stations was carried out using the purposive sampling method. Chlorophyll-a analysis was carried out using spectrophotometric methods. The results of chlorophyll-a analyze in each station ranged from 7,458 g/L – 34,352 g/L. Ciwaka Reservoir is included in the category of waters that are eutrophic (polluted) due to high nutrient levels. The water quality of Ciwaka Reservoir is still in good condition according to the designation of class 2 water quality standards in PP No. 82 of 2001. The content of chlorophyll-a and the presence of phytoplankton (abundance, diversity, and dominance) only has a weakness with the brightness (r = 0.000). Phytoplankton diversity was strongly correlated with temperature (r = 0.994). Phytoplankton dominance was strongly related to DO (r = 0.998) and BOD (r = 0.998). Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN KREATIVITAS DAN NILAI-NILAI WIRAUSAHA DI SISWA SEKOLAH TINGGI MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PROYEK PADA KONSEP BIOTEKNOLOGIAbstractThis research focused on determining the influence of project-based learning model oriented to bioentrepreneurship for XII grade student’s creativity and entrepreneurial values on conventional biotechnology sub topic. This research used quasi experimental method and the posttest only control group design. The sample was XII science 2 as experimental class and XII science 1 as control class chosen by random sampling. The data collected by using creative thinking ability test, creative product valuation rubric, observation sheet and entrepreneurial values questionnaire. The hypothesis analysed by using t-test which obtained the significance of creative products was 0,000 < 0,05 and the creative thinking ability was 0,001 < 0,05, so it would be concluded that project-based learning model oriented to bioentrepreneurship effected on student creativity. As for the significance of entrepreneurial values from the observation sheet was 0,000 < 0,05 and the questionnaire was 0,019 < 0,05, so it would be concluded that project-based learning model oriented to bioentrepreneurship effected on student’s entrepreneurial values. Correlation analysis concluded that there was a correlation between them, with the value of correlation coefficient was 0,195. The result of linear regression test showed that creativity contributed about 3% to student’s entrepreneurial values.AbstrakPenelitian ini berfokus pada menentukan pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang berorientasi pada bioentrepreneurship untuk kreativitas dan nilai-nilai kewirausahaan siswa kelas XII pada sub topik bioteknologi konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dan desain kelompok kontrol posttest. Sampel adalah XII sains 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XII sains 1 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara acak. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif, rubrik penilaian produk kreatif, lembar observasi dan kuesioner nilai kewirausahaan. Hipotesis dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t yang diperoleh signifikansi produk kreatif adalah 0,000 <0,05 dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif 0,001 <0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang berorientasi pada bioentrepreneurship berpengaruh pada siswa kreativitas. Adapun signifikansi nilai kewirausahaan dari lembar pengamatan adalah 0,000 <0,05 dan kuesioner adalah 0,019 <0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang berorientasi pada bioentrepreneurship berpengaruh pada nilai-nilai kewirausahaan siswa. Analisis korelasi menyimpulkan bahwa ada korelasi di antara mereka, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi adalah 0,195. Hasil uji regresi linier menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas berkontribusi sekitar 3% terhadap nilai kewirausahaan siswa.

Abstract

Kebutuhan pangan nasional dapat dilakukan upaya diversifikasi pangan yaitu pemanfaatan kelompok umbi-umbian seperti Talas Beneng (Xanthosoma undipes K.Koch) yang merupakan salah satu jenis flora umbi-umbian khas Provinsi Banten. Produktivitas talas beneng dapat ditingkatkan yaitu salah satunya dengan menggunakan pupuk hayati mengandung mikroorganisme hidup yang bermanfaat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi dan melakukan penapisan terhadap cendawan endofit akar asal rhizosfer talas beneng sehingga dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai pupuk hayati untuk meningkatkan produktivitas talas beneng. Sebanyak 19 isolat cendawan berhasil diisolasi melalui teknik isolasi langsung dan pengumpanan. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan jenis cendawan dari genus Acremonium, Aspergillus, Aureobasidium, Curvularia, Fusarium, Penicillium, Paecilomyces, Trichoderma, dan beberapa isolat yang belum teridentifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penapisan diperoleh sebanyak 12 isolat merupakan cendawan endofit akar dan 5 isolat merupakan cendawan parasit akar. Kata Kunci: Cendawan endofit akar, talas beneng, rhizosfer

Abstract

Banana is the most favorite fruits in the world. Indonesia is in the center of origin and diversity of banana in Southeast Asia. Banten is one of the most banana producer in Indonesia. However, no information on banana diversity and its associated disease available from this province. In this paper, we explored Kabupaten Pandeglang in its diversity of banana and its associated disease. Eleven local banana germplasm were identified with their associated disease. Fusarium wilt, Sigatoka, and Blood disease are the most common diseases found on those varieties. Seven local banana germplasm are described in this paper. These information are very important to preserved biodiversity of Indonesia and will be useful for future food security and sustainability.

Abstract

Banana is the number one fruit commodity in Indonesia. Thousands of household farmers depend on their income in cultivating banana on their back-home yard. However, banana is under threat of fusarium wilt disease that cannot be eliminated using fungicides. In this research, we aimed to examine the effect of mycorrhizal fungi on plants in controlling fusarium wilt. We used, two local banana varieties Raja Buluh and Kepok Kuning. The experiment was design using complete random design two factors. The plants were kept in well-controlled green house. Supplementation of mycorrhizal fungi on those two varieties increase the growth of the pseudostem. Pisang Raja Buluh which colonized by mycorrhizal fungi were resistant to fusarium wilt, but not on pisang Kepok Kuning. This research give insight on the use of mycorrhizal fungi to control fusarium wilt on bananas. Further studies with larger samples and more varieties that are susceptible will be interesting and important to find effective methods to control this important disease on bananas

Abstract

Emping Melinjo is a typical Banten Food made from melinjo seed. This research aimed to study fungi that contaminate Emping Melinjo. Samples were collected from two melinjo producers and distributors in Kabupaten Serang; Waringinkurung and Ciomas. Samples were isolated with PDA medium. Isolates were identified from its macroscopic and microscopic characters. 11 fungi were successfully isolated, namely Aspergillus, Basipetospora, Paecilomyces, Rhizopus, Cladosporium, Fusarium, and Candida. The largest dominance index was the genus Aspergillus with 3.44. Fusarium, Basipetospora, and Cladosporium have dominance index of 0.81 followed by Paecilomyces and Rhizopus for 0.02. The highest contamination intensity of 26.8% in the Ciomas producer, 3.12% in the Ciomas distributor. 1.2% at Waringinkurung producers, and 2.4% Waringinkurung distributors.

Abstract

Pemberlakuan kebijakan pembelajaran daring dilakukan oleh pemerintah sebagai dampak pandemi Covid-19 untuk memutus persebaran Covid-19. Artikel ini membahas mengenai pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring mata pelajaran IPS, tantangan, dan solusinya berdasarkan studi literatur. Berbagai flatform dapat digunakan sebagai fasilitas dalam pembelajaran daring dan pelaksanaannya memiliki banyak memiliki tantangan dan kendala baik dari aspek sumber daya manusia, sarana-prasarana, dan teknis implementasi. Sebagai solusi dibutuhkan keterlibatan banyak pihak secara berkelanjutan agar keberhasilan pembelajaran daring ini dapat dirasakan manfaatnya bagi siwa dalam menghadapi era revolusi industri 4.0 di era new normal Pandemi Covid-19
