Abstract

This study aims to was used to analyze the effect of substitution of Moringa oleifera and milkfish bones on the sensory evaluation and nutritional content of instant noodles with the best formula. This study design was Eksperimental with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). There are four (4) comparative concentration treatments (control, 3:1, 2:2, and 1:3) which were carried out by hedonic tests of untrained panelists and children, then the best formula instant noodles are tested for nutritional content in the laboratory. The sampling technique used simple random sampling as many as 30 mothers of children under five and their toddlers who met the inclusion criteria. Analysis of sensory evaluation data used the statistical Kruskal-Wallis test with the further test Mann-Whitney, while the analysis of the nutrient content data used a different test (T-Test for carbohydrates, protein, calcium, iron, water, and Mann-Whitney for fat). Overall the results of the hedonic test of the parameters of color, flavor, taste, texture, and acceptance of instant noodles as a whole had a real or significant difference between the control and substitution formulas with a significant value of p≤0.05. The best formula from the hedonic test results was the F2 formula (substitution of Moringa oleifera and milkfish bones 2:2). The test results for the nutritional content of carbohydrates, protein, fat, calcium, iron, and water content also differed significantly between the control formula and the best formula (F2) with a significant value of p≤0.05. The conclusion of this study is there was an effect of substitution of Moringa oleifera and milkfish bones on sensory evaluation and nutritional content of instant noodles.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a symptom that arises in a person due to an increased in blood sugar (blood glucose) levels. One of the management for diabetes mellitus patient is by providing education through nutritional conseling on various problems related to diabetes mellitus to increased knowledge. The purpose of this research to analyzed nutrions education of knowledge, dietary habit and nutritional status in diabetes patients at ibnu sina gresik general hospital. The method used was pre-experimental with one-group pretest and posttest with 1 observationed in 5-10 minutes. The data collection technique using a questionnaire and through interviews with subjects and the analyzed using pearson correlation and paired samples test. The subjects using outpatient Diabetes Mellitus patients who were taked by accidental sampling according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, as many as 40 people. The results of the pearson correlation there was a not correlation between knowledge and nutritional status (P value= 0,063), there was a correlation between knowledge and dietary habit (P value= 0,000), there was a correlation between dietary habit and nutritional status (P value= 0,028) and the result of the paired t-test there was a difference between before and after being gived nutrition education with the mean±SD knowledge of subjects before and after namely 1,08±0,267 and 2,13±0,335 with a value of p = 0,000 or <0,05.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the relationship of consumption patterns and body mass index with blood pressure in the elderly in the District of Bungah. This research is an analytic observational research with cross sectional approach. The study was conducted pre elderly and elderly at the Posyandu Lansia Kecamatan Bungah was amounting to 100 people. Sampling research using purposive sampling. Data collection was performed using the Food Frequency Questionnaire questionnaire and measurements of height, weight, and blood pressure. Data analysis was performed with the Chi Square test and Linear Regression test. The results of research show there is a relationship between consumption patterns with blood pressure with a value of p <0.05.Furthermore, the results of research showed no relationship between body mass index and blood pressure with a value of p≥0.05. The conclusion of this research is that blood pressure in the elderly and elderly is more related to consumption patterns compared to body mass index. Keywords: Body mass index, blood pressure, consumption pattern, elderly ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan pola konsumsi dan indeks massa tubuh dengan tekanan darah pada lansia di Kecamatan Bungah. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Observasional Analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada pra lansia dan lansia di Posyandu Lansia Kecamatan Bungah yang berjumlah 100 orang. Pengambilan sampel penelitian secara purposive sampling. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan antara indeks massa tubuh dengan tekanan darah dengan nilai p≥0,05. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu tekanan darah pada pra lansia dan lansia lebih berhubungan dengan pola konsumsi dibandingkan dengan indeks massa tubuh. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between sodium intake and Body Mass Index (BMI) with blood pressure in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients undergoing hemodialysis (HD). This type of research uses observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The total subject was 72 CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis at the RSUD Ibnu Sina Kabupaten Gresik, which were taken using the total sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire, Food Recall 2x24 hour and measurements of body weight, height, and blood pressure. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test and Linear Regression test. The univariate results showed that 58.3% of patients had more sodium intake, 59.7% had normal BMI, and 69.4% of patients had hypertension. The bivariate results showed that there was a relationship between sodium intake and blood pressure (p=0.000) and there was no relationship between BMI and blood pressure (p=0.145). The multivariate results showed that there was a strong relationship between sodium intake and blood pressure (R=0.646). The conclusion of this study is that blood pressure in CKD patients undergoing HD is more related to sodium intake than with BMI. So it is necessary to have education about limiting sodium intake in order to get optimal nutritional health.

Abstract

Adolescents are a group that is vulnerable to health problems and nutrition, especially in adolescent girls. The emergence of nutritional problems in adolescent girls can be caused by: by a extreem diet, physical activity, knowledge of nutrition, poor eating habits and lifestyle ( life style ) such as body image ( body image ). Besides that in the view of the young women a good body is a slim body so that many teenagers feel dissatisfied and not confident if the body is not slim then, this body image is the trigger level the emergence of eating disorders in adolescents. This study aims to identify and analyze the relationship between nutritional knowledge, perception of body image and disorders eating with nutritional status of adolescent girls in vocational high schools in Gresik Regency. This research is an Analytical Observational study with a Cluster Random design Sampling with respondents as many as 87 respondents who were selected by purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study was a nutritional knowledge questionnaire, questionnaire BSQ-34, EAT-26 questionnaire and food recall questionnaire 1 x 24 hours as additional data intake respondent energy. Data analysis using Chi-Square test and spearman test. The results shows that most of the respondents have good nutritional status (82.2%), there are (65.6%) respondents have sufficient knowledge of nutrition, there are (40.2%) respondents feel dissatisfied with their body image, there are (41.4%) respondents at risk of having eating disorders and eating disorders most of the respondents experienced a severe energy deficit with an average energy of 776 kcal. Test statistics between nutritional knowledge and nutritional status (p= 0.000), body image and nutritional status (p= 0.129) and eating disorders with nutritional status (p = 0.465). The conclusion, there is a relationship knowledge of nutrition with nutritional status of adolescent girls and there is no relationship body image, eating disorders with nutritional status of adolescent girls in Gresik Regency.
