Abstract

The progress of an organization is inseparable from the role of humans as activators of the organization. Human resources are crucial aspects to support the performance of a company in order to be able to survive in the current tight business competition. Therefore, a company must be able to manage its human resources well in order to improve performance in the company. Many factors that affect performance include work stress and work motivation. This study aims to determine the effect of work stress and work motivation on employee performance at the Conrad Hotel. The study was conducted with a total sample of 81 people. The sampling technique uses the Proportioned Stratified Random Sampling method. This research uses quantitative methods that use data from the results of questionnaire data processing. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that work stress (X1) has a negative effect on performance with the regression coefficient value is -0.100 is negative and the significance value is 0.015. Work motivation (X2) has a positive effect on performance with a regression coefficient value of 0.447 and a significance value of 0.000. F test results show the value of F is 86.255 and the significance value is 0.000 this means that work stress and work motivation simultaneously affect performance with a percentage of 68.1% performance influenced by work stress and work motivation and 31.9% influenced by factors outside research

Abstract

A company can not serve all customers in the vast market. It should observe themarket segment it can serve most effectively. A marketer should perform a strategyof 3 (three) major steps; identify and classify different customers (segmenting);choose one or more market segment to approach (targeting); and to make image oropinion and to communicate the major benefit to the customers that distinguish it tothe other (positioning). And this research aims to formulate a particular marketingstrategy; which consist of segmenting, targeting and positioning of “ Kopi BubukBali Banyuatis” The study was done in Denpasar, 140 sample was taken usingnon probability random sampling method, accidentally. Ordinal data 1 to 5 Likertscale was taken using questionnaire, transformed into interval data using IntervalSuccessive Method. The market segment of Kopi Banyuatis was formulated basedon the analysis of consumers behaviour and psychographic using Cluster Analysiswith K- Mean Cluster, result 3 clusters that are cross-tabulated with demographicvariable to obtain segmented consumer’s profile. The computer software SPSSVer 13.0 and Microsoft Excel-XP were used to assist all calculation steps in theanalysis. The output are: Segment-1, 42,9%, frequent consumption level, readinessto buy is high because they understand the product, positive attitude toward theproduct and its benefit. In terms of psychographic, segment-1 are active, modern,optimistic and secure.Various income, from low into high class. Potential as maintarget of the market. Segment-2, 35,7%, infrequent consumption level, moderate inreadiness to buy, positive attitude toward the product and its benefit. Psychographic:simple, optimistic. Potential as market target next to segment-1. Segment-3, 21,4%,consumption level rare, readiness to buy low, negative toward product and its benefit.Psychographic: logic, normative, homebody. Less potential as market target. Basedon the market size, structure, and the goal and capacity of the company , segment-1choosen as the target of the company. Product positioning on customers head andtheir perception are mapped using Correspondent Analysis and Multi DimensionalScaling (MDS). It shows that Kopi Banyuatis is in tight competition with Kopi BolaDunia regarding quality, discount, gift, and product diversity. Its advantages in quality, discount, gifts and product diversity will not be effective in the long run, because Kopi Banyuatis could easily imitate by its competitors. That’s why itsmarketing mix strategy upon the choosen segment, and product positioning shouldbe adjusted. Outstanding packaging will distinguish it from others. Various taste forthose who always like to try new product, and equal price for the middle-low classconsumers should be considered. Outstanding outlets make them easily seen by thecustomers and other promotion mix through advertising, sales promotion, publicrelations and personal selling should also be considered.

Abstract

The main role of a secretary is to assist the manager or the leader ofthe company to do his job. Bisides a secretary is mean something to the otheremployee.There are many things a secretary should do in her job. For some reason a secretarycouldn’t do their jobs and duties optimally even sometimes couldn’t fi nish some ofthem at all. Their reaserch is aim to the role of a secretary to do offi ce explorepractice at Melia Bali Nusa Dua.The problem for this reaserch is how much the role of a secretary could contribute to the job of offi ce practice at Melia Bali Nusa Dua. And the aim of this reaserch isto know more about secretary’s duties and how much she could complete them well.The result of this reaserch is to do some contribution to the process of curriculumdevelopment at Bussiness Administration Politeknik Negeri Bali.Data collection is done by interview, observation and questionnaire. The result isdescribed descriptionly. The result of the reaserch is 72,13% of secretary’s dutiesshown has important contribution to offi ce practice. It is said to be in good level ofstandard.

Abstract

Developing marine eco-tourism as an alternative source of livelihood. To accelerate poverty alleviation in Karangasem regency, where 6.88% of the population of 27,800 people are classified as poor , various efforts have been made by the Regional Government such as developing marine eco-tourism in Tulamben Village, Kubu Sub-district and Amed Village, Abang District of Karangasem Regency. Developing of marine eco-tourism resulted in a shift in livelihood patterns of the population from the agricultural sector to the tourism industry sector. The problem in this research is "Is Marine Eco-tourism Development feasible to be an alternative livelihood for Tulamben and Amed people of Karangasem Regency?" The research objectives are to assess whether marine eco-tourism development is a viable alternative livelihood for Tulamben and Amed communities. The method used is the Contingent Valuation Method: Willingness to Accept (WTA), Willingness to Pay (WTP) and Economic Potential Analysis and SWOT analysis. Result: the Contingent Valuation Method shows WTP value of Rp.176.500 higher than WTA value of Rp.154.500. Analysis of Economic Potential, from analysis of the economic potential of Marine Ecotourism, can create value Rp.4.728.964.500 from every tourist visit to an object. From the above two analyses, it can be concluded that Marine Ecotourism is very feasible as an alternative livelihood. To complement the analysis of marine eco-tourism development strategy with SWOT, it can be recommended as follows:• Improving cooperation with domestic and foreign travel agents• Providing an information center related to Marine Ecotourism activities.• Increasing safety insurance for tourists• Improving the quality of human resources, through on-going training. Pengembangan Ekowisata Bahari sebagai Mata pencahariaan alternatif. Untuk mempercepat pengentasan kemiskinan di Kabupaten Karangasem, dimana 6,88% dari jumlah penduduknya tergolong miskin. Menyadari akan hal ini berbagai upaya telah dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Daerah diantaranya adalah Pengembangan Ekowisata Bahari di Desa Tulamben, Kecamatan Kubu dan Desa Amed Kecamatan Abang, Kabupaten Karangasem. Dengan berkembangnya Ekowisata Bahari mengakibatkan adanya pergeseran pola mata pencaharian penduduk dari sektor pertanian ke sektor industri pariwisata. Yang menjadi masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Apakah Pengembangan Ekowisata Bahari layak untuk dijadikan mata pencaharian Alternatf bagi Masyarakat Tulamben dan Amed Kabupaten Karangasem? Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengkaji apakah Pengembangan Ekowisata Bahari layak dijadikan sebagai mata pencaharian alternatif bagi masyarakat Tulamben dan Amed. Metode Penelitian. Metode yang digunakan adalah Metode Kontingen (Contingen Valuation Method): Willingness to Accept (WTA), Willingness to Pay (WTP).dan analisis Potensi Ekonomi serta analisis SWOT. Hasil kajian menunjukkan nilai WTP lebih tinggi dari nilai WTA berarti Ekowisata Bahari layak sebagai mata pencaharian alternatif.

Abstract

Pelayanan prima merupakan ujung tombak perusahaan. Dalam konsep pelayanan prima terdapat empat unsur pokok, yaitu: kecepatan, ketepatan, keramahan, dan kenyamanan. Semakin tinggi tingkat kualitas pelayanan yang dipersepsikan, maka semakin meningkat kepuasan masyarakat. Dimensi kualitas pelayanan jasa adalah Keandalan, daya tanggap , jaminan,empati, dan bukti fisik. Dimensi jaminan adalahkompetensi,kesopanan, kredibilitas, dimensi empati yaitu akses, komunikasi, dan pemahaman terhadap pelanggan.Bukti fisik berhubungan dengan penampilan fisik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat pencapaian kualitas pelayanan prima terhadap klaimen asuransi kecelakaan pada PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) dan untuk mengetahui kualitas pelayanan yang masih perlu ditingkatkan terhadap klaimen asuransi kecelakaan pada PT Jasa Raharja (Persero). Jumlah responden79 orang dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif.Kesimpulan dari pembahasan adalah kualitas pelayanan prima yang diberikan kepada klaimen PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) Cabang Bali adalah “Baik” (berkualitas) dengan rata-rata (mean) sebesar 4,16. Kualitas pelayanan prima yang terbaik adalah keandalan yang memperoleh nilai paling tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata yaitu 4,23, sedangkan kualitas yang memiliki penilaian paling rendah adalah empati. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai rata-rata hanya sebesar 4,09 serta terdapat pula dua variabel yang masih perlu untuk ditingkatkan yaitu dimensi daya tanggap yang hanya memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,97 dan dimensi empati yang juga memperoleh nilai rata-rata (mean) sebesar 3,97

Abstract

Salah satu aspek keterampilan yang diajarkan dalam kemahiran berbahasa Indonesia adalah keterampilan menulis. Pembelajaran menulis sering kurang digemari oleh maha-siswa karena metode pengajarannya dianggap kurang menarik. Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah respons pebelajar dan pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar menulis setelah metode quantum diujicobakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode quantum dalam pembelajaran menulis akademik pada pendidikan vokasi S1-Terapan Politeknik Negeri Bali. Kajian ini dilakukan karena kemampuan mahasiswa untuk menulis masih kurang, padahal menulis merupakan bagian dari kemahiran berbahasa Indonesia. Objek kajian penelitian ini adalah proses pembelajaran menulis yang dilandasi dengan metode quantum writing di pendidikan vokasi S1-terapan Politeknik Negeri Bali. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner terhadap 105 mahasiswa semester dua. Data selanjutnya dianalisis dengan Mann-Whitney U-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 85,81 % responden mengatakan bahwa buku ajar yang dikembangkan ini sangat layak untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran menulis akademik. Hasil uji lapangan juga secara signifikan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan prestasi pebelajar. Mann-Whitney U=2.027,5, n1 = 53, n2 = 52, p < 0,05, r = 0,41.

Abstract

Kedudukan Sabha Yowana sebagai organisasi non profit dibawah naungan Desa Adat menjadikan Sabha Yowana harus dikelola secara baik. Beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi yaitu format laporan keuangan yang berbeda dan pengarispan dokumen yang dilakukan secara offline pada laptop pribadi. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka solusi yang ditawarkan adalah dengan memberi pelatihan digital finance dan digital filing kepada pengurus Sabha Yowana Desa Adat Sesetan. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di kantor Lurah Desa Sesetan dengan sasaran pengurus Sabha Yowana Desa Sesetan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan terbagi atas tahap persiapan dan pelaksanaan. Hasil pengabdian ini diharapkan mampu memberi kontribusi bagi Sabha Yowana Desa Sesetan dan mampu mengaplikasikannya kepada kepengurusan Sabha Yowana.
