Abstract

The background of foster children in Kemala Puji orphanage are mostly from poor families, orphans, neglected, and homeless child. The institution have been serve, nurture, and empower by providing them a sufficient living. Hence, it still needs a better improvement. This is because these children deserve to be made for the next generation. This activity aims to rise of social care between humanity in adolescents, especially for children in the orphanage. This have been done by imparting knowledge to them about healthy internet. Moreover, its increases understanding how to use the internet more healthily, properly and to anticipate of cyber bullying against them. The outcome of training activities are the youth children have been understood how to use a healthy internet, and they have been sufficient skills how to use internet which was given during the training.

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to examine the emotional response of the employee after an acquisition; the goal is to provide useful information for Parkview Hotel’s management team on how they could evaluate change processes in the future. This study included research design as a field study using survey methodology. The study conducted at a Parkview Hotel in Brunei Darussalam, particularly in the Room Division and Food and Beverage Division. In this study, research design includes a causal relationship between two or more variables. The feeling of meaningfulness and safety has a positive impact on employee perspective as categorized as high by the average score, respectively (4.08) for meaningfulness and (4.03) for safety. The limitations of this research are mainly linked to the use of the list of eight factors that was made on the basis of the existing emotion literature to attempt to include factors, especially important for service employees in the hospitality industry. The list appears to cover the most important antecedents of emotion. However, as the knowledge regarding the specific drivers of emotion for this group of employees is limited, there is a risk that some important drivers were not included in the list. Based on the reported results, management can deliver specific recommendations regarding which areas of the employee need to pay more attention to in order to improve performance of the employee, and in order to be a better work place. This paper brings to light original and valuable findings related to the perception of the employee after showing expected results in terms of emotion after acquisition.Keyword - Employee Emotion; Acquisition; Psychological Meaningfulness; Psychological Safety.

Abstract

Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menerapkan konsep berkomunikasi bisnis pada aktivitas perkuliahan masih rendah. Rendahnya pemahaman konsep peserta didik disebabkan karena pembelajaran yang diterapkan dosen masih bersifat lecturer centered. Dosen hanya menyampaikan materi pembelajaran secara satu arah. Aktivitas belajar mahasiswa menjadi tidak bervariasi, hanya mendengarkan informasi dari dosen saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem based-learning) pada pembelajaran mata kuliah komunikasi bisnis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif mahasiswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Institut Informatika dan Bisnis Darmajaya. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai dengan bulan Juni 2022. Data penelitian diambil dengan metode tindakan kelas dan survey. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Persepsi mahasiswa diukur melalui 7 aspek penilaian. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diperoleh hasil bahwa persepsi mahasiswa pada aspek interaksi mahasiswa dan dosen berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan skor rerata (mean) 20.83 dengan persentase sebesar 83.32%, persepsi mahasiswa pada aspek mampu memotivasi minat belajar mahasiswa berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan skor rerata (mean) 16.53 dengan persentase sebesar 82.65%, persepsi mahasiswa pada aspek kemampuan memahami materi kuliah mencapai kategori sangat baik dengan skor rerata (mean) 20.83 dengan persentase sebesar 83.32%, persepsi mahasiswa pada aspek kompetensi berfikir kritis, efektif dan efisien mencapai kategori sangat baik dengan skor rerata (mean) 16.99 dengan persentase sebesar 84.95%, persepsi mahasiswa pada aspek kompetensi memanajemen waktu yang baik mencapai kategori sangat baik dengan skor rerata (mean) 12.18 dengan persentase sebesar 81.2%, persepsi mahasiswa pada aspek hasil belajar mahasiswa yang baik mencapai kategori sangat baik dengan skor rerata (mean) 8.15 dengan persentase sebesar 81.5%, dan persepsi mahasiswa pada aspek kesesuaian penerapan pembelajaran dengan karakteristik mutu mata kuliah mencapai kategori sangat baik dengan skor rerata (mean) 20.89 dengan persentase sebesar 83.56%.
