This research is a qualitative descriptive design with the Simple Random Sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that from a total of 10 fresh milk samples, it is known that 9 fresh milk samples (90%) have a good reduction test and 1 fresh milk sample (10%) has a bad reduction test. Based on the results of the above research, it can be stated that 90% of the fresh milk samples from the dairy farmer group in Pabyongan Pagerwojo village have a good reduction test. Poor reduction test results are due to the condition of the cage is not clean, the condition of the animal being sick, the condition of the farmer being sick, or the equipment is not clean.

Abstract

Energy supplement drinks are drinks that contain caffeine, taurine, sweeteners, and other substances that have the effect of increasing energy, concentration, alertness, maintaining physical strength, and reducing drowsiness. Blood calcium is an important mineral that the body needs. The purpose of this study was to determine blood calcium levels in marble factory workers in Besole Village, Tulungagung Regency. The research design used was Analytical Descriptive. The population in this study were all marble factory workers who routinely consumed energy supplement drinks in the village of Besole in 2018 using a total sampling technique of 30 respondents. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Dr. Iskak Tulungagung in May 2018 using the O-CPC method. The results obtained from the examination of blood calcium in marble factory workers showed 10 respondents (33%) had blood calcium levels within normal limits, 17 respondents (57%) had deep blood calcium levels. low limit and 3 respondents (10%) had very low blood calcium levels. Consumption of energy supplement drinks that exceed the threshold can damage the kidneys and affect blood calcium levels because the caffeine content in energy supplements can increase the release of calcium in the bones so that more calcium is released through the urine.

Abstract

Examination of blood cholesterol at this time became the trend of laboratory examination that much in demand by most people because of many diseases caused by hypercholesterolemia due to wrong diet or high cholesterol levels. Damaged equipment, reagent exhaustion, a large number of samples, laboratory distance with the sampling site too far, and power outages resulted in delayed laboratory examination that required sample storage. This study aimed to determine the effect of serum storage for five days with a serum examined directly to examine total cholesterol. The research design used was an experiment. The population in this research is all female students; Level 3 Study Program D3 Health Analyst STIKes Hutama Abdi Husada Tulungagung, using the Purposive sampling technique, counted 15 respondents. This research was conducted in May 2018. The data obtained were processed using SPSS 16 software and analyzed by Paired t-Test. This study showed the average value of total cholesterol levels in serum examined directly at 163 mg/dl while stored for five days temperature of 2-8 ° C at 158 mg/dl. After the paired test obtained value of P-value = 0.000, so P-value = 0.000 <α = 0.05, it can be concluded there is an influence between total cholesterol levels are checked directly and stored for five days temperature 2-8°C. Five days of serum storage affects the results of total cholesterol tests that lead to a decrease in total cholesterol, but the reduction is insignificant.
