Abstract

Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) are part of the Muhammadiyah curriculum which teaches about Islam and religion in students who study at Muhammadiyah educational institutions, to introduce Islam and Muhammadiyah. In Muslim students, AIK teaches Islamic values ​​to be understood, internalized, and practiced to make it a way of life, both personal and community life. While AIK for non-Muslim students introduces Islam and the universal values ​​contained therein (Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin). In the East Nusa Tenggara region there are 3 Muhammadiyah Universities with a number of non-Muslim dominated students. The three colleges are in Alor Regency, Sikka District, Maumere and Kupang City. In this study took 2 locations, the majority of which were non-Muslim students. First, the Muhammadiyah Maumere Teachers' Training College is in the majority area of ​​the Catholic community and the second Muhammadiyah Kupang University, the majority of which are Protestant. Both of these Universities are experiencing significant progress day by day on physical development and the number of students. This study aims: 1) To find out about the AIK curriculum and the Teaching Pattern for non-Muslim students; 2) To find out the response of students about the existence of AIK courses. The type of research used in this research is field research with descriptive qualitative research methods using data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the interactive data analysis technique of Milles and Huberman models.

Abstract

Teaching Islam, Kemuhammmadiyahan and Arabic was a compulsory subject that should be taught at elementary and secondary level students. At Muhammadiyah educational institution, Ismuba was arranged and continuously improved for introducing Islam and Muhammadiyah. For Muslim students, Ismuba was taught the value of Islam to be comprehended, experienced, and practiced as the way of life, both personal and community life. While for non-Muslim students, teaching Islam, Kemuhammmadiyahan and Arabic was to introduce Islam and the universal values ​​which is a mercy for the universe and also to introduce Muhammadiyah organizations. The study was done in two locations. The first location was Muhammadiyah Ende High School which is the majority was Catholic and second location was Waengapu Muhammadiyah High School, East Sumba District which is the majority was Protestant. This study aimed at identifying the internalization pattern of Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin in AIK / Ismuba Learning. In this field research, the descriptive qualitative methods was used. The data was obtained through interview, observation, and documentation. While the data was analyzed using Milles and Huberman model’s interactive data analysis technique.

Abstract

Essentially, K2S was established to be an unified forum for all Javanese in Kupang City and its surroundings. K2S was a kinship independent social organization which is not affiliated with other social political or community organizations. The main objective of K2S was to develop family relations, brotherhood, togetherness and harmonization between K2S members, maintain and develop the values of Javanese art and culture, tradition, supporting faith activities, strengthen worship, and enhance morals of K2S members based on their dogma and it was also for contributions of Kupang city development. This study was done to ascertain the efforts of K2S in improving education of Islamic community in Kupang city. In this qualitative descriptive research, the data was gathered through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data was analyzed use the interactive data analysis models by Milles and Huberman. The study showed that the Javanese social harmony intercaction (K2S) took part in: 1. Social community aspects; 2. member’s training and empowerments; 3. spirituality; 4. Arts and culture.

Abstract

Assessments are often unable to assess what is really meant to be graded, even it seems that it is just giving a score. In fact, a real assessment is needed according to the results shown by students. This study aims to analyze the planning and implementation of authentic assessments as well as the obstacles faced in Islamic religious learning at SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar. The study used a qualitative descriptive study, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study explain that the planning of authentic assessment is done by first compiling an instrument based on the learning objectives that have been set, but in this case the teacher only modifies the instrument that has been approved by the curriculum development team of the city education office. Implementation is carried out by applying performance learning such as fardhu kifyah practice, ability tests in the form of non-tests, or observation sheets. Some of the obstacles faced by the large number of students who want to be assessed, personal value bias, difficulty in scoring management. The point is that authentic assessment is in accordance with the characteristics of Islamic education learning which does require performance-based or practice-based assessments.

Abstract

Masyarakat Desa Oelua Kecamatan Loaholu Kabupaten Rote Ndao menganut aturan norma-norma adat yang mereka warisi secara turun-temurun yang jika terjadi pembatalan peminangan oleh salah satu pihak maka akan dikenakan sanksi adat. Hal ini dinilai sebagai suatu tindakan yang merusak dan mencemarkan nama baik keluarga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) untuk mengetahui bagaimana praktik pelaksanaan sanksi adat pembatalan khitbah di Desa Oelua Kec. Loaholu Kab. Rote Ndao, dan 2) untuk mengetahui bagaimana tinjauan hukum Islam terhadap sanksi adat tentang pembatalan khitbah di Desa Oelua Kec. Loaholu Kab. Rote Ndao. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian lapangan (field research) yang berlokasi di Desa Oelua Kabupaten Rote Ndao. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh penulis ialah dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sementara teknik analisis data yang penulis gunakan ialah teknik reduksi data, display data serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) praktik pelaksanaan sanksi adat pembatalan khitbah di Desa Oelua dilakukan dengan cara pihak yang membatalkan khitbah tersebut datang secara langsung ke tempat pihak yang di khianati untuk membicarakan mengenai pembatalan khitbah dan sanksi adat yang harus dibayar oleh pihak yang membatalkan, dapat dilakukan secara langsung oleh orang tua atau wali atau bahkan kedua-duanya dan juga beserta dengan salah satu tokoh adat atau tokoh agama setempat. Sanksi adat tersebut berupa uang tunai yang nominalnya senilai dengan harga satu ekor ternak sapi, 2) pada hakikatnya di dalam hukum Islam tidak disebutkan hukuman bagi yang membatalkan khitbah. Namun, tetap saja perbuatan tersebut merupakan perbuatan tidak terpuji dan bagian dari kemunafikan karena telah ingkar janji. Sanksi adat tersebut memiliki dasar filosofis bahwa segala hal buruk harus dicegah. Selain itu, diterapkannya sanksi adat tersebut untuk mewujudkan kemaslahatan dalam masyarakat. Kemaslahatan yang dimaksud adalah mencegah terjadinya perselisihan yang diakibatkan oleh pihak yang merasa kehormatannya diremehkan oleh pihak lain.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) leadership policies on student moral development, 2) implementation of teacher guidance in implementing student morals, 3) supporting and inhibiting factors in moral development, 4) The success of teachers in developing student morale. This research was conducted at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Kupang. This research was conducted with a descriptive analytic method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the leadership policy towards the moral development of students in MTs. Negeri Kupang, namely by making school regulations that support the development of student morals, the implementation of teacher guidance in developing student morals can be seen from the combination of Islamic religious learning with the delivery of subject matter related to morals and extracurricular activities. The supporting factor for the development of student morals is the existence of regulations. madrasah regarding the obligations of students to take part in extracurricular activities that have been determined by the schedule, the existence of a madrasah leadership policy program related to the creation of school conditions that have a nuanced hospitality, there are inhibiting factors. The success of students' moral development can be said to be less than optimal because the indicators of success are the same as changes in student character for the better.
