Abstract

Contrastive analysis is a method that can be used to help the difficulties of a teacher in teaching a second language to their students, where learning a second language is strongly influenced by the mastery of the mother tongue. The purpose of this article is to describe comparison of passive sentences in Indonesian and English. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative to provide an overview of the form of the passive sentence and find differences and similarities between passive sentencesin Indonesian and English. Examples was created by the author herself taking into account the level of general acceptance by referring to the book of Tata Bahasa Indonesian and English Grammar. Passive sentences in Indonesian are characterized by use of the "di-", "ter" or "ke-". While in English it used “to be + V3 (Past participle)" which is based on the tenses used (time of occurrence). After comparing passive sentences in Indonesian and English, the author  found similarities and differences.Analisis kontrastif merupakan suatu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu kesulitan seorang pengajardalam mengajarkan bahasa kedua kepada para siswanya, di mana dalam mempelajari bahasa kedua sangat dipengaruhi oleh penguasaan bahasa ibu. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perbandingan kalimat pasif dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris. Metode penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif komparatif-kontras yang bertujuan memberikan gambaran tentang bentuk kalimat pasif serta menemukan perbedaan dan persamaan kalimat pasif bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris. Contoh dibuat oleh penulis sendiri dengan mempertimbangkan tingkat keberterimaan secara umum dengan merujuk kepada buku Tata Bahasa Indonesia dan Grammar Bahasa Inggris. Kalimat pasif dalam bahasa Indonesia dilihat dari strukturnya menggunakan “di-”, “ter-” ataupun “ke-”. Sementara dalam bahasa Inggris hanya mengenal “to be+ V3 (Past Participle)” yang berdasarkankepada tenses yang digunakan (waktu kejadian). Setelah membandingkan kalimat pasif dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris, penulis telah menemukan persamaan dan perbedaannya.

Abstract

This study discusses the author's speech acts and how they were utilised in his work. In the novel Limpapeh by Ar. Rizal, this study will describe speech acts in the form of code mixing that create code mixing, forms of code mixing, and the function of code mixing. In addition to showing cultural identity, the code mixing used by the author can also serve as an affirmation or explain something, showing familiarity with certain calls as a form of respect for others. Thus, the author deliberately inserts the term area of origin as part of his identity. Readers can recognize the culture of an area, especially Minangkabau from the works they produce. This research will describe the factors that cause code mixing, code mixing functions, and types of code mixing in the speech of the Limpapeh novel characters. The method used in this study is a reflective-introspective analysis method. It is possible that the phenomenon of using language is lived in everyday life. Provision of data in this study in the form of written text. The code mixing that occurs is conveyed by the author through the naming of cooking spices, dishes, people's names and proverbs or terms commonly used in the Minangkabau community. In AR RIZAL's novel Limpapeh, the type of speech act used in Minangkabau society is forceful speech with the style of asserting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris, maka peneliti menggunakan metode Role Play dengan mahasiswa mampu menggali kemampuannya dalam berbahasa Inggris, meningkatkan keinginan berbicara Bahasa Inggris dan dapat menambah kosakata Bahasa Inggris mahasiswa Analis Kesehatan STIKes Perintis Padang dalam berkomunikasi dengan Bahasa Inggris yang baik dan membangun katertarikan mahasiswa untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris, khususnya diaspek speaking. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan dua siklus yaitu, siklus I dan siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai rata-rata keterampilan berbicara Bahasa Inggris mahasiswa meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus ke II. Hal ini ditunjukan oleh hasil Accent pada siklus I (43,25%) menjadi (76,50%) pada siklus II. Penguasaan mahasiswa pada grammar siklus I (52,37%) menjadi (77,20%) pada siklus II. Vocabulary dari siklus I (48, 85%) menjadi (78,40%) pada siklus II. Fluency siklus I (63,45%) menjadi (77,65%) pada siklus II. Comprehension meningkat dari siklus I (66,62%) menjadi (83,50%). Kesimpulan metode role play terbukti dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa. Metode role play memberikan banyak kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk berlatih dan praktik secara langsung

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul English in Analyzer dalam peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris bagi mahasiswa analis kesehatan yang valid. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D), yaitu penelitian yang menghasilkan produk tertentu. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model 4 D yaitu Define, design, develop, disseminate. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket yang terdiri dari lembar validitas tes hasil belajar bahasa Inggris. Modul English in Analyzer ini divalidasi oleh 3 orang validator terdiri dari 1 orang Dosen bergelar Doktor Bahasa Inggris, 1 Orang dosen Bahasa Inggris STIKes Perintis Padang, dan 1 orang Dosen Analis Kesehatan STIKes Perintis. Hasil analisis lembaran validitas, menunjukkan skor rata-rata momen kappa (k) adalah 0,79,. Skor ini jika diinterpretasikan pada kategori momen kappa maka kategori validitas Tinggi. Modul yang berhasil dikembangkan valid digunakan untuk pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris Bagi Mahasiswa Analis Kesehatan.

Abstract

The research was conducted with the aim of designing a Moodle-based e-learning implementation in the form of a website in the Computer Applications subject in the Nutrition Science study program. This e-learning system is designed to be implemented in all courses in the Nutrition Science study program, thus helping lecture activities. As an initial development, this e-learning system was tested in the Computer Application course. This study uses a research and development design (Research and Development) according to Sugiyono (2010). The research subjects were Computer Application lecturers and students who had attended Computer Application lectures determined by purposive sampling. The data taken is the feasibility of the material and media through a questionnaire, and student responses through a questionnaire. Expert response shows that Moodle-based e-learning is very good in terms of media and good in terms of material. The results of the student response questionnaire on small-scale trials showed that the majority of students gave positive responses to learning activities using Moodle-based e-learning media. The final Moodle-based e-learning product contains modules, video, ppt, chat, virtual classes and discussion forums. Various content and facilities that the e-learning has developed make Learning Motion Systems more interesting. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that Moodle-based e-learning is appropriate and feasible to be applied to the Computer Application course.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the factors that influence the intention of Generation X in using online shopping applications, with the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) approach. This research is a survey research using questionnaires as a tool to collect data. Pre-testing is carried out at the beginning of the study, before distributing questionnaires to ensure that the instruments used are valid and understandable. The 50 respondents were Generation Xers aged 43 to 58, who used online shopping applications. The instrument is a questionnaire consisting of two parts, namely the independent variable and the dependent variable. The data were analyzed with SEM, and validity and reliability tests were conducted. What influences Generation X's intention to shop on online shopping apps is 1. perception of usefulness, 2. perception of ease of use,3. perception of value and 4. perception of security. In addition, social factors such as subjective norms and reference groups. This research can help e-commerce companies improve services to Generation X consumers, by making it easier for them to use online shopping applications.

Abstract

Currently, the development of digital technology has an influence on all human lives, including shopping problems, namely online shopping applications. A lot of research has been done to study it, but there hasn't been much study of the factors that influence the intention to use online apps in generation X. So the purpose of this study is to study the factors that influence the intention to use mobile shopping applications among generation x, using the UTAUT application approach The method used is the UTAUT Model (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology), the Integrated Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology. The UTAUT model is used to be applied to the context of mobile shopping application use among Generation X. This research is a survey research using questionnaires as a data collection instrument. The sample is the Generation X Group who use smartphones and often do online shopping transactions. What influences a person's intention in the use of technology, it turns out to be between: 1) perception of ease of use, 2). perception of usefulness, 3). subjective norms, and 4). perception of quality. What influences a person's intention in the use of technology, it turns out to be between: 1) perception of ease of use, 2). perception of usefulness, 3). security, and 4). l. It can be concluded that the most significant factors in influencing the intention to use mobile shopping apps among Generation X are in terms of ease of use. This can be the basis for designing more effective marketing and promotion strategies for mobile shopping application service providers, and can help increase user satisfaction and strengthen consumer loyalty.
