Abstract

The application of technology to agriculture provides an advantage in terms of increasing production or yields. In terms of maintaining a plant, it takes a long process, for example fertilizing, irrigation, synthesis of sunlight and others. Up to now, this work is still carried out by human labor so that it severely limits the yield or quantity of harvest. The application of technology for plant cultivation is planned to build an automatic irrigation system for hydroponic plants. Hydroponic plants are a type of plant that only need water in the process of growth. Thus a good irrigation system greatly affects the success of cultivating this type of plant. The results of this study are: First, designing a hydroponic plant maintenance system that works automatically with sensors and microcontrollers. Second, designing a control circuit using the ATMega8 Microcontroller as the system controller. And third, implementing the Fuzzy Set algorithm in the program so that the system can work properly.

Abstract

The learning process will run smoothly and effectively if it is supported by infrastructure. One of the infrastructure that can support the learning process is the availability of teaching materials. One of the teaching materials that can be applied is electronic teaching materials (e-books). The purpose of this study was to determine the development of e-book teaching materials based on local potential in Asahan Regency on ecosystem material for class X students at the senior high school level which is valid, practical, and effective. This research is a research and development model of ADDIE. The research trials were carried out on a large scale. The validity of the E-Book is measured using a validation sheet. The validity of the E-Book material that has been developed is 74% categorized as valid, the validity of the media is 88% categorized as very valid, and language validity of 84% which is categorized as very valid. The practicality of the E-Book was measured using field practitioner validation sheets and student response questionnaires. Based on the validation of field practitioners, the practicality percentage of the E-Book is 96%, which is categorized as very practical, and the student response questionnaire is 94%, which is categorized as very practical. The effectiveness of the E-Book is measured by the normalized gain test. The N-Gain score is 0.7 which is categorized as effective because The effectiveness of the E-Book is measured by the normalized gain test. Abstract

Inquiry learning strategies are a series of learning activities that emphasize the process of critical and analytical thinking to seek and find answers to a questionable problem yourself. This study aims to determine the effect of inquiry learning strategies on scientific attitudes of class XI MA students. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research type. The study population was class XI of the Model Ujung Kubu Private Madrasah Aliyah, where the sample used 2 classes with the total sampling method. Class XI IPA 1 as an experimental class using inquiry learning strategies, while class XI IPA 2 as a control class using conventional learning methods. The instruments used were questionnaires and observation sheets to see students' scientific attitudes. The scientific attitudes observed in this study include curiosity, objective attitude, critical thinking, discovery and creativity, open-mindedness and cooperation, persistence and sensitivity to the environment. After the data is collected, then the data is analyzed using statistical analysis such as the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing. Based on the research results obtained from questionnaires in the experimental and control classes, aspects of openness and cooperation have a greater percentage when compared to other aspects, namely 92% in the experimental class and 77% in the control class. While the results obtained from the observation sheet, the highest aspect is in the attitude of being sensitive to the environment with a percentage of 86% in the experimental class and 80% in the control class. Data analysis for the simple regression test shows that the t value is 3.257 with a significance value of 0.0026 (meaning that the significant value is <0.05). This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the application of inquiry learning strategies on students' scientific attitudes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis literasi lingkungan siswa SMA Swasta Imelda Kecamatan Bilah Barat Kabupaten Labuhanbatu. Penelitian merupakan melibatkan sampel sebanyak 23 siswa yang ada dikelas X SMA Sigabu Julu. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Instrumen literasi lingkungan yang digunakan yaitu tes terdiri dari 13 soal polihan ganda dan angket terdiri dari 15 pernyataan. Analisis data dilakukan secara statistik deskriftif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat lterasi lingkungan siswa SMAS Imelda berada pada kategori tinggi. Dalam literasi lingkungan terdapat empat indikator yaitu, aspek pengetahuan menggunakan tes, aspek keterampilan menggunakan lembar observasi, aspek sikap menggunakan asngket dan aspek perilaku menggunakan angket. Pada aspek pengetahuan rata-rata nilai domain dalam konteks pengetahuan berjumlah 71,7% dengan kriteria tinggi, pada aspek sikap dengan rata-rata pada doamin sikap berjumlah 50,5% yang berarti kriteria sedang, pada aspek perilaku berjumlah 87,8% dengan kriteri tinggi. Sedangkan dalam validasi isi terdapat nilai yang berjumlah 80% dengan kriteria tinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu capaian dalam kemampuan literasi lingkungan ssiwa kelas X SMA Swasta Imelda berkategori tinggi.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter adalah upaya terencana yang dilakukan untuk mengajarkan dan menanamkan nilai-nilai moral yang baik pada siswa-siswinya. Pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter dilaksanakan pda kegiatan belajar mengajar, salah satunya melalui mata pelajaran Biologi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field Research), dalam hal ini peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif, menggunakan angka, mulai dari pengumpulan data, penafsiran terhadap data tersebut, serta penampilan dari hasilnya. Dan dideskripsikan secara deduksi yang berangkat dari teori-teori umum, lalu dengan observasi untuk menguji validitas keberlakuan teori tersebut ditariklah kesimpulan. Kemudian di jabarkan secara deskriptif, karena hasilnya akan kami arahkan untuk mendiskripsikan data yang diperoleh dan untuk menjawab rumusan. Sumber datanya penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi atau penarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan tempatnya dan objeknya, penelitian ini termasuk penelitian lapangan.
