<![CDATA[Latar belakang: Indonesia memiliki 40% remaja yang mempunyai teman yang sudah pernah melakukan hubunganseksual pranikah dan 66% remaja memiliki teman yang hamil di luar nikah. Yogyakarta terdapat 97,05% remajayang sudah tidak perawan. Bantul terdapat 113 pernikahan dini, 90% diakibatkan oleh kehamilan di luar nikah.Sasaran pendidikan seks ini di SMK Muhammadiyah Kretek karena 80% siswa memiliki pengetahuan yang kurangtentang seks pranikah. Angka kejadian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya masalah.Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan seks melalui peer counselor tehadap pengetahuan remaja tentang seks pranikah di SMK Muhammadiyah Kretek.Metode: Studi Quasi experiment dengan one group pretesposttest design. Pengambilan sampel secara purposivesampling dengan jumlah responden 64 siswa. Jenis data primer dengan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner.Analisis data dengan uji paired sampel Ttes.Hasil: Rerata pengetahuan sebelum diberikan pendidikan seks oleh peer counselor adalah 74,88 dengan SD 5,21dan rerata pengetahuan setelah diberikan pendidikan seks oleh peer counselor adalah 82,00 dengan SD sebesar8,52 sehingga terjadi peningkatan sebesar 7,12 dengan SD sebesar 6,81. Analisis dengan paired sample Ttestdiperoleh nilai p= 0,000.Simpulan: Ada pengaruh pendidikan seks melalui peer counselor terhadap pengetahuan remaja tentang sekspranikah di SMK Muhammadiyah Kretek Tahun 2013, dan secara statistik bermakna.
