Abstract

Strong and rigid material is needed to restrain the bending load. Sandwich construction is applied when the stiff light material is needed. Fiberglass is a high strength fibers, while the bamboo fiber is a strong natural fiber. Both of these fiber reinforce composite resin. Compressive strength, bending strength and specific gravity of sandwich composites were discussed in this paper. Composite sandwich with fiberglass-bamboo fiber reinforcement and with a polyurethane rigid foam core sheet 25 mm have been manufactured and tested. Composite sandwich made by two laminated skin and a core. The number of layers fiber and type of composite sandwich were varieted in this study. There was no striking difference in the value of compressive strength of sandwich composite with variations of amount reinforcement layers of the skin. The compressive strength on edge area showed that the number and the type of layer on the skin will determine compressive strength. The compressive strength on the edge area will increase by increasing the number of layers. Bamboo lamina gives a better compressive strength than the fiberglass lamina. Sandwich composite density was lower than the average density of wood, it was ranged from 97.1 to 392.1 kg/m . The bending test was conducted by using four-point bending to determine the bending strength. The highest bending strength of the composite was obtained at 798 N/cm 3 . This value is owned by composite variants with skin consists of two layers of woven bamboo combined with 1 layer of fiberglass.Keywords: sandwich composite, bamboo, specific gravity, bending, polyurethane.

Abstract

AbstractThe objective of this study was to know factors affecting the blood pressure of the residence of the police housing compound at Ciledug Tangerang. The blood pressure measures were taken in a seated position and on the right arm by trained health workers who followed a standardized procedure using regularly calibrated mercury sphygmomanometer. Systolic blood pressure was measured at the first appearance of a pulse sound and diastolic blood pressure at the disappearance of the pulse sound.  Three measurements of systolic and diastolic blood pressure were averaged to reduce the effect of measurement errors. Hypertension was defined as a systolic blood pressure >140 mm Hg, a diastolic blood pressure >90 mm Hg. The study is crossectional with 201 samples.The study revealed that there were relationship between   the age, sex, occupation, consumption of fat, consumption of  sodium,consumption of coffee,  nutritional status with  hypertension, meanwhile there were no relationship between genetic, exercise with  hypertension. Keywords: hypertension, sodium, nutritional status  AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tekanan darah pada penghuni perumahan polri  di Ciledug Tangerang. Tekanan darah diukur dalam  posisi duduk  pada tangan sebelah kanan yang dilakukan oleh perawat yang terlatih dengan alat sphygmomanometer air raksa yang telah dikalibrasi.Tekanan  Systolic diukur dari denyut pertama muncul dan tekanan diastolik diukur dari denyut menghilang. Pengukuran dilakukan tiga kali dan diambil rata-ratany, hal ini dilakukan untuk mengurangi kesalahan pengukuran.. Hypertension  didefinisikan sebagai suatu keadaan dimana tekanan  darah systolic >140 mm Hg, dan tekanan  diastolic  >90 mm Hg. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian  crossectional dengan jumlah  201 samples. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa ada hubungan  umur, jenis kelamin, pekerjaan, konsumsi lemak, konsumsi Natrium, konsumsi kopi, dan status gizi dengan hipertensi.  Sedangkan untuk keturunan, dan olahraga tidak ada hubungannya dengan hipertensi. Kata kunci: hipertensi, sodium, status gizi

Abstract

AbstractIron deficiency Anemia is one of the main problems in Indonesia where the death rate on pregnant women is still quite high. To overcome this problem the Indonesian goverment have been implementing a distribution of iron tablets to pregnant women since 1970.  The study was aimed to analyze the relationship between the attitude of compliance consumption of iron tablets and hemoglobin level in pregnant women at Puskesmas, Kecamatan Palmerah, Administration city of West Jakarta. The study population is pregnant women who visit the Puskesmas Kecamatan Palmerah. Whereas, the sample of this study is pregnant women who visiting the puskesmas, they got iron tablets, and in trimester II. This study used Pearson Product Moment Correlation to analyze the data. The study found that there was significant  relationship between the attitude of compliance consumption of iron tablets and hemoglobin level in pregnant women at Puskesmas, Kecamatan Palmerah, Administration city of West Jakarta. The study revealed that the consumption level of iron and Calcium are still below RDA. Therefore the counseling of anemia and iron tablets are still needed to improve their consumption.Keywords: iron deficiency anemia, hemoglobin, iron tablets AbstrakAnemia Gizi Besi adalah salah satu masalah utama di Indonesia dimana terjadi paling tinggi pada Ibu hamil. Dalam megatasi masalah ini, di Indonesia telah dijalankan pemberian tablet besi yang di khususkan pada Ibu hamil sejak tahun 1970. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan sikap kepatuhan terhadap konsumsi tablet besi dan kadar hemoglobin pada ibu hamil di Puskesmas, Kecamatan Palmerah, Kota administrasi, Jakarta Barat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu hamil yang mengunjungi Puskesmas Kecamatan Palmerah. Sedangkan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah ibu hamil yang mengunjungi Puskesmas, mereka mendapatkan tablet besi, dan ada pada trimester II. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji Pearson Product Moment untuk menganalisis data. Dari hasil uji ditemukan bahwa ada hubungan yang bermakna antara sikap kepatuhan konsumsi tablet besi dengan kadar hemoglobin pada ibu hamil di Puskesmas Kecamatan Palmerah, Kota administrasi Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini juga melihat bahwa konsumsi zat besi dan kalsium masih di bawah Angka Kecukupan Gizi. Oleh karenanya, penyuluhan tentang anemia dan zat besi masih diperlukan untuk meningkatkan konsumsi mereka.Kata kunci: anemia, zat besi, hemoglobin

Abstract

AbstractAlthough the pathogenesis of acne is currently unknown, recent epidemiologic studies of non-Westernized populations suggest that dietary factors, including the type of foods consumed may be involved. The objective was to know the internal and external factors that are related with acne vulgaris in the senior high school students. The study used the crossectional design with the  total sample of  135 students of  the SMA YADIKA 3 Ciledug Tangerang. The data of foods consumption  were collected by using  24 hours recall method, the nutritional status of the students is determined by using  Body Mass Index (BMI). These informations are collected by nutritionis. The type of the skins were collected by general practioner.The study was conducted on April 30-31 April and  Mei 5-6 Mei 2009. The statistical analysis of this study by using Chi-Square. Of the internal factors, only the type of the skins is associated with the acne vulgaris. Meanwhile of the external factors, only the higiene of the skin is associated with the acne vulgaris. Keywords: Acne, Nutritional Status, Body Mass Index (BMI) AbstrakPada penelitian yang dilakukan Nurhidayati (2007), ditemukan bahwa sampel yang mengkonsumsi keju (80%) dan susu cair (85%)  dengan frekwensi 1-3 kali seminggu adalah responden yang berjerawat. Namun di dalam penelitian Nurhidayati tidak meneliti faktor-faktor lain yang dapat menimbulkan jerawat. Sehingga kemungkinan fakto rinternal dan eksternal dapat mempengaruhi timbulnya jerawat. Tujuan dari penelitianini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor internal dan faktor eksternal yang berhubungan dengan kejadian timbulnya jerawat pada remaja. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survey analitik dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional dilakukan di SMA YADIKA 3 Ciledug tanggal 30 April-31 April dan 5 Mei-6 Mei 2009 dengan jumlah sampel 135 remaja kelas XI SMA YADIKA 3. Dari faktor internal yang meliputi jenis kulit wajah, keturunan, ras, dan status gizi yang mempengaruhi kejadian jerawat adalah jenis kulit wajah. Sedangkan factor eksternal yang meliputi kebersihan kulit wajah, frekuensi membersihkan kulit wajah, tingkat konsumsi lemak dan faktor bahan makanan penyebab jerawat yang mempengaruhi kejadian timbulnya jerawat adalah kebersihan kulit wajah. Kata kunci: Jerawat, Status Gizi, Indeks Masa Tubuh (IMT)
