Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini berusaha menggali potensi dan peran pesantren dalam pengembangan masyarakat di pulau Lombok dengan menelusuri gagasan awal, sosialisasi dan aktualisasi gagasan program pengembangan masyarakat melalui pesantren serta meninjau esensi program pengembangan masyarakat yang dilaksanakan pesantren dari perspektif pendidikan. Penelitian eksploratif ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis. Hasil studi ini menemukan bahwa gagasan awal program pengembangan masyarakat di pulau Lombok memiliki corak yang variatif dan ditempuh dengan dua model sosialisasi yaitu pendekatan individual dan kelembagaan. Aktualisasi program diwujudkan melalui berbagai wadah atau lembaga pengembangan yang ada di lingkungan pesantren dengan para Tenaga Pengembang Masyarakat berperan sebagai motivator, komunikator fasilitator dan dinamisator. Jenis program pengembangan meliputi; kesehatan, lingkungan hidup, pembinaan dan pengembangan ekonomi masyarakat, pertanian dan sarana pendukungnya. Fokus sasarannya adalah santri dan masyarakat di lingkungan pesantren. Esensi program pengembangan masyarakat melalui pesantren, bila ditinjau dari perspektif pendidikan mengimplisitkan terapan beberapa prinsip dasar pendidikan andragogi. Abstract: This research try to discover the potency and the role of pesantren in development of Lombok society by early tracing idea, socialization and actualization of program idea in development of society also to evaluate the essential of development program of pesantren society in education perspectives. This explorative research use qualitative phenomenology approach. The result of this study is early idea of development program in Lombok society which is variety pattern and search by two socialization models there are individual approach and institution. The actualization program realize by various institutions or development of institution which has been existing in pesantren environment with all Developer of Society as motivator, communicator, and facilitator of dynamisator. The programs types cover; health, environment, construction and economic expansion of society and other agriculture support. It is focusing in santri and pesantren society. The essential of development society program through] pesantren, if it evaluate from education perspective which apply implicit of some elementary principles of education of andragogi.

Abstract

The rapid technological advance does not rule out the possibility of eliminating the national character values in the young generation because trends, cultures and information spread very quickly, both from within and outside the country. To keep the young generation from being carried away by the negative impacts of technological advance, so the education is expected to be able to build the students’ national character through relevant learning, namely Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The objectives of this research were to determine the stages, strategies, and challenges of national character building in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Public Junior High School (SMPN) 18 Mataram. The research type used was descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis used the data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion or verification. The results of the research showed that (1) the stages carried out in national character building through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Public Junior High School (SMPN) 18 Mataram were inculcation, nurturing, developing, and stabilizing. Furthermore, (2) the strategies carried out were explanations, learning activities in the classroom, cultural development at school and learning activity centers, and extracurricular activities. (3) Meanwhile the challenges faced were the lack of facilities from school, association, social media, family environment, and community environment.

Abstract

This research is intended to analyze the effectiveness of problem-based learning in social sciences settings. The study employed a quantitative approach using a meta-analysis method which is defined as the analysis of the same topic existing literature. This study referenced 4 out of 9 representative journals and was determined as the analysis unit. Subsequently, it is decided to make six sub-study out of four analysis unit. Glass’ effect size equation is employed as the data analysis. This study revealed, (1) the overall effect of the problem-based method on the students’ learning achievement standard deviation was 0,795, (2) the utilization of problem-based method showed significant result on the highly motivated and gifted students; (3) this learning method is relevant to all educational stage.

Abstract

Indonesian government and society in improving the quality of education, especially in student achievement in schools. This study aims to determine 1) the relationship between emotional intelligence and learning achievement. 2) the relationship between teacher performance and learning achievement. 3) The relationship between emotional intelligence and teacher performance with student achievement at SMAN 1 Batuklian Utara, Central Lombok. This research is a qualitative research, the data collection used is a questionnaire and documentation. While data analysis using normality test, correlation test, multiple regression test and t test. The results of the study show 1) Emotional intelligence has a strong relationship to student achievement at SMAN 1 Batukliang Utara, Central Lombok Regency. 2) Teacher performance has a very strong relationship to student achievement at SMAN 1 Batukliang Utara, Central Lombok Regency. 3) there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and teacher performance with student achievement at SMAN 1 Batukliang Utara, Central Lombok Regency.
