Abstract

This research is a case study research that aims to find out the difficulties of junior high school students in solving SPLDV problems. The subjects in this study were 10 students of class VIII-B MTs Negeri 3 Purwakarta, consisting of 3 students who had low abilities, 4 students who had moderate abilities, and 3 students who had high abilities. The instrument used in this study was in the form of test questions with a description of 6 questions which were arranged based on the cognitive domain of Bloom's taxonomy from the level of questions C3 to C6. The data analysis technique carried out consisted of checking student answers by calculating the percentage of each indicator, determining the type of error in answering the question, and knowing the type of student difficulty. The results showed that students still had difficulties in solving SPLDV problems. The success rate of students in solving SPLDV questions is still relatively low, this can be seen from the number of students who have difficulty solving SPLDV problems, especially on indicators about the ability to apply or use procedures to model and detail the value of the variables asked in a PLDV. The level of difficulty in these indicators is quite high. So that efforts are needed to improve students' ability to understand SPLDV material in online learning.

Abstract

Learning model is one of strategy to improve the quality of learning . Research aims to understand the influence of learning model quantum teaching to learning identify economic activities to their students primary school class IV  SDN 5 Galanggang Batujajar.In the process of learning model quantum teaching the role of requiring teachers more creative and active in will improve the motivation to study students .Teachers capable of create the conditions learning an effective and fun for students .In this research technique data collection and observation .This research use action class consisting of four meeting , in its implementation use lesson plans ( implementation plan learning ) as the concept to make learning more directed consistent with the objectives of of learning model quantum teaching .The results of the study showed learning use the model quantum teaching can increased the motivation to study students in learning identify.

Abstract

The ability of understanding is the important ability in the science development. The ability of mathematical communication is expected can increase simultaneously by the development of the science and technology. Nevertheless, the implementation of mathematical learning still focuses to the teacher, this method makes students cannot develop their ability in mathematical communication. Their report study in mathematics is still under minimum completeness criteria (KKM), namely 75. One of the recommended effort to deal with this condition is the using probing-prompting technique. The aim of this research is knowing the impact of the enhancement of student’s ability in mathematical understanding using probing-prompting technique rather than are compared with project base learning learning technique. The result of this research show that student’s ability of mathematical communication using probing-prompting technique is better than technique with α = 0,05. To conclude, probing-prompting technique can increase student is ability in mathematical understanding
